Small 5 acre park with a trail that loops through the trees. There is a covered picnic shelter, bathrooms, and a lovely moss covered ground. John and Matilda were settlers who traveled the Oregon Trail, and Matilda contributed to the making of the Washington Territory. Matilda's first husband drowned, and she also lost a baby in a few days. Then she buried 3 of her 5 kids before she died in 1901. This park serves as a daughters tribute to her mother and her many contributions.

Smaller wooded park with tall old growth trees and a really nice wide cleared walking path that circles through the park. Covered picnic area and a clean restroom vault. No garbage cans. Pack your garbage out. Rarely anyone else here! I stop to play with my dog off leash often.

Really pretty colors in all the trees since fall is here. It’s a small park with a small loop for a nature walk with the kids. Picnic area with cover but the restrooms are locked up. Not a big park but very pretty!

Beautiful park with first growth evergreens. Lots of trails h going deep into the woods. Parking is limited and posted hours are 8 am to dusk not 24 hours.

I love this little park. Matilda Jackson donated 2000 acres of land and this is what is left, besides Jackson Hwy and Koontz Rd being named after her. It is a historic spot and it is not being properly maintained. I think the county wants that prime property. I walk here everyday with my dog. It's a nice little trail. Full of so many different types of flowers, trees and small woodland animals. It is beautiful. Needs to be more of a priority for the parks department.
Just saying
It has a bathroom and garbage can. Covered picnic tables as well as a few tables about the park. It has bbq stands. A really great little park!
