Chittenden Brook Campground

This is a real camping experience. It’s about 2 miles into the deep woods. The campsites are big and well kept with fire pits and grills. Outhouse bathrooms to use and trails to hike all around. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely quiet and beautiful. If you're looking for a place to camp in the woods this hidden gem is it! I will be back.

It's an awesome campground but not all the sites are secluded and remote, some are really close to each other and to the road.. (which seems strange to me considering how much space there is in the woods).. but I guess it's good if you are camping with a big group of friends, you can book several close campsites (number 2, 3, 4 and 5 for example) and be able to see and hear everybody and hang out together.. the more secluded campsites are on the side of the brook (number 12-16 I think)

The only amenity is vaulted toilets and a lean too. There’s a cabin that I believe is rentable, there was a group of boys staying in it while we were there.

What a great place to visit in the fall! The drive in is one of the best parts of visiting this campground, the deep woods and brook below are lovely. The campground itself is well-kept and reservations are very organized. All of the sites are level and include grill/table. The campground is also a great starting point for both long/short and easy/challenging hikes. The strangely named "Mt. Horrid" is close by. Take care on the road in, low slung vehicles may experience some undercarriage problems.

One of my favorite places. We started camping there just a few weeks after it opening 1962 or 1963.

It's a great clean campground. While it's clean vault toilet is roughing it for some the cost makes up for it. If you camp check out the national park pass.

Really great camp ground. The campground is very secluded and small. Was really beautiful and listening to the Brook in the evening is quite nice.
