Mavericks Restaurante Mexicano

We had great service and food- we got chips, salsa, and house made guacamole that were delicious. I had the house margarita and it was one of the best I ever had. We also shared the taco plate with cowboy beans and mexican rice, and they were also delicious. Our bartender was very friendly, and we met Andrea, the owner. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area!

This was an amazing find especially in the northwoods. Best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything especially the sides looked and tasted fresh and homemade. Would definitely recommend stopping here. The bar also had a wide variety of Tequilas. Great atmosphere and service was exceptional.

Pretty good Mexican food for being so far north. Really enjoyed the Queso and the Barbacoa is very spicy but good. Would go back to get my chips and queso fix while in the Northwoods.

Food and drinks were delicious! I had the Chicken Enchiladas with Tequila veggies and Mexican Cole Slaw. All of it was great. Never had cole slaw like it before, I am a fan. Super cute place as well. Copper tooled ceiling and copper accents, it had a wonderful, warm, inviting vibe. Nice selection of Tequilas and hot sauces!

My favorite Mexican restaurant around! I order the beef baracoa chimichanga almost once a week if able. It is super spicy, not for those that can't take the heat, but it is my favorite. If you don't like spicy, the ground beef is very good took.

Awesome lunch at Mavericks Restaurante Mexicano - complete with chips and salsa, warm jalapeno corn muffins with maple butter, chicken burrito, cheese quesadilla - and of course the best marquritas in the Northwoods. This place is a staple every time we go up north to our cabin. I crave the fish tacos, my daughter gets the chicken quesadillas and since the portions are generous my husband will eat half of each of our plates and orders the chorizo queso to enjoy with their tasty chips. We’ve always had great service and belly up to the bar to chit chat with the bartender and even the owner who was super friendly. Great atmosphere, definitely worth the stop, You won’t regret it!

Mavericks old fashioned is a tasty departure from the usual.

I’m from Texas/ Louisiana and I have to say this food is authentic. More specifically, this taste like real Mexican food but with the same love you get from a family recipe.

Great, friendly service and food made from scratch. The Mexican street corn was excellent. You need to give this place a try.

Food was great! I got the pork tacos and the spicy cheese curds. I loved the tacos and the curds were alright. (Good, but different) the mens bathroom faucet is also very cool. It changes temperature very quickly. That’s a weird review but it’s amazing. Check it out.

Staff was also nice!

My husband and I went to Maverick's for the first time today to celebrate his birthday. Our dining experience was wonderful. Katy was our waitress, excellent at her job, our meal was outstanding! I had the chef's pick and my husband had the taco dinner with beans and rice. He said they were the best beans he has ever eaten!
The atmosphere is very comfortable and tastefully decorated.

This place is a amazing little gem. Way better than Nachos or el tarascos(not that those places are bad) Not a large menu but lets be honest do we need 80 things on a menu that we can't pronounce and are so so? Everything they make is amazing. They have great attitude when we decend on them as a hospital and order 11 things all different ways. They even label to food boxes to eliminate confusion. Bravo!

Best Mexican in the northwoods! Great tequila selection, flavorful dishes, good portion sizes, and fair prices - all in a clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated atmosphere!

Hidden Gem. We own in México so have experienced Mexican alot. I would rate their food as excellent and a substantial amount. I certainly would go there for just good food.

I came here with 2 international J1 workers from Chile. Stuff was friendly, accommodating, and patient. Food was delicious and appreciated by all. They finished their plates and loved their food. Great restaurant with a great atmosphere!

This place is awesome. The food is crave-worthy, the atmosphere is welcoming, clean and well designed. I think the owner was bartending and he couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating - a really genuine guy who’s clearly passionate and proud of what he’s building (for good reason). The experience here was truly refreshing. I had the fish tacos and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return.
