An absolutely gem I am lucky to call my home! These apartments, the history, the management, the location…absolutely nothing but an amazing place to be. Unsure of the negative reviews, because the management and staff has been nothing short of fantastic to work with. Thank you Appleton and thank you Historic Fox River Mills for providing such a beautiful place to live!

Not a tenant but was invited over for a barbecue. Good atmosphere, well set up and I feel that it would be nice to live here. The views were good and people were friendly.

I have lived in 3 different units at The Fox River Mills over about 9 years.

7 years, and then another 2 when my wife and I moved back to Appleton. We only left because we purchased a home, but we still miss the place. It will always be our home away from home.

Managed very well and they are constantly doing the work needed to keep the property beautiful. The parties they throw are actually really fun as well!

We absolutely LOVE living in the Fox River Mill Apartments community. Each unit is unique and brings a sense of history. You can't beat the exposed brick, beams and gorgeous river views! We deeply appreciate the staff at the complex - they are thoughtful, caring and respond quickly. Fellow tenants are kind and friendly. The proximity to walking/running trails, Lawrence University and the downtown are an added bonus! We are grateful to call this space HOME!

Beautiful apartments. It's an old factory that got remodeled and each room is super unique with very tall ceilings!

I have lived at the Mill for close to 10-years. This location allows one to benefit from all of the advantages from living downtown without many of the disadvantages. You are close enough to walk everywhere while isolated from much of the downtown noise.

Management and the maintenance staff are both highly professional and friendly. When you enter the rental office, someone immediately greets you by name. Your concerns are promptly addressed in a timely and effective manner. The maintenance policy here is definitely conducted from a proactive perspective. Small problems are taken care of before they become bigger problems.

The amenities are best explained by the staff. Do yourself a favor and come in and have someone give you a tour.

Excellent apartment and staff. The interior architecture is very unique with the apartments built around the brick interior of the old mills. High ceilings, incredible views of the Fox River, and close to downtown. I've lived here for 9 years and would highly recommend.

I have been living in the mills for a couple of months now and could not be happier. The residents and staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. The property is unique and beautiful. The location is great, with river views and a close walk to down town! I could not be happier.

We sold our house and moved into the Mills in October 2021. It was the best decision of our lives. The high ceilings, exposed brick and large windows are just the start. The complex has a great sense of community and a fantastic management team. We can’t ever imagine leaving.

Historical Fox River Mills apartments has been on my radar for years. About 5 years ago, i had the opportunity to move back to Appleton. Living on the water front has been a dream of a lifetime. The Community Room, the outdoor patio, all the staff are a pleasure. A hop skip and a jump to any social activities are no effort. Appleton downtown living is the best.

Very nice. The paper mills here have been covered into apartments and the seems to be a nice selection, as well as having a nice view of the river.

In 2019 my wife and I relocated from Sarasota, Florida to Appleton for an employment opportunity. While my wife, a Dentist, interviewed, I went looking at rentals. I had two I found online that were possibilities. The first, what I know laughingly refer to the Ikea complex, I chose not to even view. But the second, The Mills, immediately attracted me. The outside is industrial but that wasn't a put off. Was soon as I saw the interiors of the four units I viewed I was sold. They were each unique. The one I ultimately chose was a two story unit, facing the river, with a private front door and a bonus back door with a walk out to a private deck with room for a garden. The interior was spectacular. Tall windows, high ceilings, brick walls, multiple levels, brick archways (we have three), a beautiful kitchen, and so much more. Then there's are the amenities; water, electricity, and all upkeep included. Plus the grounds are filled with nooks and crannies with grills, seating, and those fabulous views of the river. Plus Jones Park across the street and walking distance to College Avenue. What we thought would be temporary we've now decided will be our lifelong home. After all, why buy when all we would ever want we already have. Move here - quickly! You will not regret the decision, I promise you.

We are currently viewing the properties at Fox River Mills and I can't say enough good things about Mackenzie. She shows genuine interest in your wants and needs, is very knowlegable of each unit and does an excellent job showing the properties. She is personable, professional and always upbeat. She is patient with questions and decision making. Also, when viewing the properties it is evident that she has a great repor with the residents. Thanks for making this a great experience so far Mackenzie. We are excited to become residents in this beautiful and welcomming community.

My wife and I are going on our fourth year at "The Mills". Facing relocation from the Sarasota, Florida area, I had undertaken significant research for a "temporary" rental in lieu of a future property purchase. I made appointments to see two possibilities. The first I now refer to as the Ikea apartments. We ultimately chose our spacious two story, three bedroom unit in the Mills. Brick interior walls with archways, high ceilings and windows, multiple elevations, a private entrance twenty paces from the Fox River, and a private back deck and flower garden are just a few of the remarkable features we enjoy. Not to mention a professional staff that provides for every need. A few weeks ago we advised the property management our intention to remain permanently. This home of ours, and the property at large, is a jewel. I would strongly recommend for anyone searching for a place to call home in Appleton they visit this wonderful place.

Rented for over 10 years. Fantastic views and very responsive management team to issues. That's the best part of renting...they solve problems. But, more importantly, a great quality of life.

My partner and I have lived in a multitude of apartments in many cities, big and small; the Historic Fox River Mill Apartments have provided the most friendly, responsive, and (within reason...) flexible leasing office we have ever encountered. The on-site maintenance team is responsive and does great work as well.

Each apartments itself is unique, and the location - situated directly on the Fox River and a stairway away from the heart of downtown - cannot be beat. Very much worth a look!

Really neat apartments of all varying size and cost. Two underground garages. One decent and the other very tight and like parking in an mill. So fitting tho. Awesome public amenities for those that live there and I hear the staff and grounds support are on top of everything there. Beautiful water views.
