Snyders Landing

Easy in and out access for watercraft. There is a boat ramp for vehicle access but it's not overly large so make sure you know how to maneuver your vehicle. The area is busier during the summer months for swimmers, dogs, boats, fishing and people hiking the C&O. Sometimes the lot can fill up on a sunny weekend day.

Excellent place along the towpath. Not very busy, great parking lot and easy to get to from Sharpsburg.

Great place for kayaking the upper Potomac.

Nice parking place and toilet facilities (not porta potties) that give you immediate access to the C&O. In our case, it provided a nice place for my wife to wait after her ebike battery ran out while I sprinted the remaining 4 miles to our pickup truck parked at Antietam campsite and drove back to pick her up! I found it more amusing than she did!

With living close to the C&O Canal, we are always walking along one section or another. Snyders Landing is great for walking, boating, biking or just viewing the river. Great place to escape the heat of summer.

Great place for swimming the water is surprisingly clear and you can walk almost to the middle and still see the bottom before it starts getting deeper. just in case some people dont I would reccomend wearing water shoes or old sneakers because there is a lot of medium sized rocks

Loved our hike on the C and O canal. Nice shady walk.

Loved meeting and talking to Jerry Heil at Reels & Wheels. Bought a refreshing drink and got to see all Jerry's excellent handiwork. Made our trip!

Smaller parking area but has a restroom and spacious launch area

Biking the C & O Rail Trail, we frequently break here for lunch. Breathtakingly beautiful, we love it!

Perfect place to be at sunrise. Narrow road to get there.
