Golden Gate

Today, on I-70, driving from Utah to Denver,
I filled up with fuel at the only Palisade Exit.. When I went into the Golden Gate, I was pleasantly greeted by Josh, who was working at the counter, with equally pleasant Angelo. These young men made me feel safe and welcomed. The restrooms were very clean this time, even though the locks on the stall doors were still missing. Because of the friendliness of these cashiers, I will always fill up at Golden Gate when I am traveling I-70 Eastbound to Denver.

This place was conveniently located near the place I was staying. Lots of variety of things needed and didn't have to travel very far. Everyone there was helpful and friendly.

Good place for fuel off I70. Easy on and off in Palisade. Fresh coffee, snacks, warm food - overall good convenience store. This location has alcohol for those interested. Bathrooms are clean, petrol pumps well lit, and separate diesel pumps.

Friendly employees, very clean restrooms, and beautiful views while you fill-up your tank.

Very, very nice people there. The cashier gave me some suggestions about the risks to travel by Vail Pass section of I-70 E due to weather condition. I decided to stay in Wine Country Inn until tomorrow. God bless you guys. Thanks for the advise. BTW the premise we’re so clean, specially the Gentlemen restrooms.

It is easy to get in and out, but the traffic can be very busy on the weekends. Nice wine selections here, if you don't have time to do the wine tour option.

Stopped here leaving the western slope to dump the camper and fuel up. The dump station was easy to access and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. So definitely remember this place next time we are in that area!

Great little truck stop. It takes one full take of gas to travel via my 2001 HlJeep Compass from fort Collins to Palisade. My gas light had just come on when we stopped at this truck stop. I appreciate that they had bottles of water and gaterades that were frozen as well as the cooler ones so when w traveled home and forgot to freeze the water bottles we had come with, we were not without cold beverages while enroute home or spoiled food wgen we got there! Thanks for thinking of us forgetfull travelers!

This station turned out to be a godsend! We were low on fuel, a winter storm had kicked in making visibility an issue and I needed to get off the road.. I took a chance and exited the highway not knowing if this place would have room or fuel for a semi truck. Not only did they have room, they had a few parking spots and they were available! Although the parking isn't intended for over night stay...they didn't hassle us at all. In the morning we tried to fuel with our company Comdata card. The cashier was very experienced and friendly. She knew exactly how to handle the sale even though this is an out of network stop for us. She was amazing and I hope these guys treat her well! What a great experience today! With my fresh coffee in hand, I'm back on the road again! Thank you Golden Gate😊

Super convenient place for me to get fuel. I run short haul for a mail contractor and it's nice to not have to run the opposite way to get fuel. It's a smaller truck stop but has a great selection of food stuff inside and as a ni e bonus you get a free coffee or fountain drink if you fuel there on the commercial side. The night staff is super cool and friendly

Very nice gas station + convenience store. Place is very clean, staff is friendly, public bathrooms are very clean and in great condition. Great place to make a pit stop, I was impressed.

Pay with cash or card to get a discount. Usually the lowest prices in the county. Good place to stop and fuel up, especially with Starbucks just down the road. Always clean with friendly staff.

Bianca (the cashier) was great, and very helpful. I purchased the wrong pack of cigarettes and needed to exchange them. She didn't exchange them because tobacco purchases are final, but she was very kind and professional. Good place.

Great spot to take a break, I'm a truck driver and I usually stick to the big name chains for pit stops due to bad experience at small locations. I took a gamble today and hit black jack. Great friendly service, cleanest bathroom off the i70, food is in house made and delicious. I got a chicken quesadilla and it filled me up. Stop on by. Worth it.

Great gas station, easy access from the interstate and usually has the cheapest gasoline around. Always neat and clean inside and out.

This has become my go-to mid-way stop between Denver and Utah for gas and there is a farmers market right next to the station for a fresh box of peaches or berries! Their fuel price is competitive (much cheaper than the pilot/Love truck stations), the bathroom is clean, and they have a good selection of refreshments--

Good atmosphere and good people. I always get my gas here. Worth it
