Had a fantastic visit here while traveling around the area. It was full of rich history and information about TB treatment and research. The curator there (Alex I think was his name) was very enthusiastic which we love in an employee and was happy to answer our questions. He even was able to pick out one of the books from the gift shop and draw us a map to the old sanatorium. I would absolutely recommend stopping by and supporting this lovely piece of New York and American history.

I learned a few things about Dr. Trudeau who came to the Adirondacks in 1873, seriously ill with tuberculosis, got well, started research and then transformed the place into a sanatorium for other sufferers. Well maintained place.

Quick tour but packed with interesting history about the treatment facility for TB! Took about 30 minutes to go through, could take a bit longer depending how long you spend at each exhibit. Learned a lot about the patients living with TB at that time as well as the doctors and researchers.

Very interesting place to visit. The staff is very nice and incredibly knowledgeable. This museum has great exhibits, a video, all housed in a beautiful building. TB, its treatment, recovery and eventually a cure are central to the history of Saranac Lake. It,s definitely a must see when visiting the area.

This was such a cool museum! I loved to see what the room looked like in the past and while I’m standing there current day. I also felt like I stood and read the cards people posted about their TB stories downstairs for like 30 minutes. It was so intriguing to see other peoples stories.

Great educational experience on Tuburculosis and the science behind the laboratory. I have seen a lot of people behind the curve from Dr Trudeau to Europe and the current situation in Brazil. Support the cure research.

We stumbled upon the museum while passing through town.
We learned alot! Aside from the scientific aspects, we took the time to read the personal stories of those who were treated there, and how their lives shaped the town, along with their contributions to the arts, science, and even living in the wilderness.
This is a perfect place to gain some insight, especially during the midst of our current crisis.
Highly recommend.

The laboratory museum was very interesting and informative. There was a lot to look at and read and think about. It was an hour well spent, and informed a lot of our family's conversations for the rest of the afternoon as we walked and drove through the village of Saranac Lake, looking at the cute shops and old buildings.

I took my 4 year old granddaughter to learn about the accomplishments of Edward Trudeau. It is a beautiful building also.

This is a really interesting piece of history! Although many had tragic endings, I loved reading the stories of some of the patients and reading visitors stories posted on the bulletin board.

I really enjoyed my time at this historical laboratory museum. History is my thing but didn't know much about TB history. Learned a lot. Place is well organized. Didn't realize how prevalent this illness was. Many well known people took the cure in Saranac Lake. We are fortunate to have science on our side.

Very interesting museum on the site of Dr. Trudeau's lab. Here is where tuberculosis was first studied and patients were treated, including some very famous names. It's fun to walk through the very rooms, where some of the original equipment remains on display.

Surprising and amazing. This is the first laboratory in the US to study the organism causing Tuberculosis. This museum tells that story, and also of the sanatorium and cure cottages in Saranac Lake and surrounding area. A must see!

We actually found this gem last Halloween. It is a beautiful, old building packed with great information on Saranac's history with TB. We're back in the area and I've talked other family members into going again on Tuesday.
