Good little walk through a fern, maple, conifer forest to the bluffs with Madrona. Lots of mushrooms along the trail. Easy walk to the beach.

Short sweet and beautiful! Loved the deep forest walk that opens to a long beautiful sandy beach with a billion purple shells and hundreds of gulls. Perfect for those who don't enjoy elevation and it's only about 10 minutes walk to the beach.

No dogs, no fires, no clamming, this is a place for wildlife with a lovely short hike through a young cedar forest to a tidal wetland and sandy/rocky beach. Parking along the road for about 6-8 cars, no restroom or garbage, roots make wheels a bad idea. The bluff has many layers and a few tiny sand caves.

A little difficult to find. No parking lot that I know of, but there is a large shoulder on the road for parking. The trail is not too long. The views on the trail and beach are gorgeous. I came here to do some birding, and saw ~10 species in a half hour. Also, there is an outhouse, which is convenient.

This is a very different beach for Kitsap county. A few hours before low tide the see anemones are present in mass. Not only on visible rocks but rocks just below the surface makes this beach look like it has a spotted disease. It is Shame they say no dogs. My dog and I went up there to be very disappointed by the long drive. I'm not sure their reasoning, but the barnacles on the rocks and sea anemone are hard to tell a pup to avoid.

Beautiful easy walk through the forest to a nice sandy beach. The bluff is interesting as well as the different shells in the sand. There's some nice wetlands for bird watching as well. Parking is limited.

Great and beautiful short hike to the beach. The beach is full of beautiful shells and nice sand. We even saw a jelly fish in the water! Very nice place to go on a warm or hot day. The water is pretty cool. Beautiful views from the beach of the cliffs, the trees and mountains in the distance.
**update** No dogs allowed just as an FYI

It’s a short walk through a lush forest to a gorgeous sandy beach. Great spot for beach combing. Take a long peaceful walk next to the huge bluff wall topped with beautiful madronas.

Short and easy trail, yet slightly overgrown. Parking along edge of road. Trail leads to beautiful views of the bluffs along Hood Canal. Beach in a very natural state with large amount of tidal zone wildlife and birds. Very clean preserve. Operated by The Nature Conservancy.

Gentle hike with no incline, lots of interesting things and rocks and trees. Great spot for wildschooling or unschooling. We had fun climbing this big rock about 1/3 of the way in. The tide was out when we came by so there was a lot of algae and the water was foamy and sort of grimy looking so we weren't dressed for that. You arent allowed to collect anything here like shells which, I understand, but there were some really pretty shells we left behind. Will be coming back, we had a great time! #MilitaryWild #MilitarywildWA #PawsForHadrian #AutismFam #WildSchooling #Unschooling #Homeschooling

Our kids love hiking down the trail to the beach. It's secluded and perfect for finding all kinds of tide pool creatures.
