Matterhorn Ski Bar

Great restaurant to come to after a long day of skiing! The vibe here is really cool, and they also have live music! Food here is good, but pricey for what you get. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They also have an arcade with a couple of games! The spinach and artichoke dip came out fast and hot! I would definitely recommend the pizzas and burgers, fish was good too. The desserts are yummy as well! Definitely worth a visit!

Top notch ski bar! Always a great time at this bar. The staff is friendly, food and drinks are good and reasonably priced. Most weekend nights during ski season they have live music. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a ski bar near Sunday river.

When we placed our name they said about an hour for a party of seven. We were surprised when we only waited a half hour. We ordered four pizzas, nachos, fish and chips and a kids meal. Everyone was friendly and service was fast. Live music was fun and interacted with the kids. The fish and chips was a generous portion. Pizzas were very cheesy and excellent flavor. The nachos were heaping! Great place!

Hands down best ski bar and atmosphere. Great food and drinks!

Very nice place to visit and spend dinner time

Delish! Nice, large portions that tasted as good as they looked, nicest waiter, young blond guy and very caring manager. We just happened upon this place and we're so happy that we did!

Fun Apres Ski place and our server was the BOMB!! I wish I knew her name! She worked the pizza counter and had blonde hair in a ponytail!! You were great!!

We got the nachos to share with the table of 4. It was a hit for everyone. I had the French onion soup, it was OK, nothing special but was good on a cool day. The pizzas were good

Great bar up by Sunday River. It gets very busy once the mountain closes so if you’re not there quickly you’ll be Stuck waiting for an hour + to be sat as it’s first come first serve. They usually have a live band on the weekends that starts around 9pm so if you get there later than 7:30/8 you probably won’t be able to ever get a table, once the waits over an hour and a half they no longer allow you to put your name on the wait list. They have great bar pizza as well !

Pretty much the quintessential ski bar. Lots of history on the walls...and ceiling. Pizza is the thing, and the Hornlihutte is king but if you're trying to meet someone, be warned its garlic turned up to 11. If you already have someone then he or she needs to eat at least a slice to be able to tolerate you. Live music for Apres and then another band ysually around 930. The line at the bar late can be brutal. I wish they would serve some beers and seltzers at another location near the dance floor to relieve the crush.

Loved this place for après ski dinner and pints. Lively atmosphere, very nostalgic items on the walls & ceiling, a hip place to hang out and great grub.

What a perfect spot to spend a Birthday dinner after a great day skiing. The Steak Tips and desserts were just what I needed and can't wait to make it a tradition

Great service. Food was outstanding. Hot spot and we will definitely stop by each trip. Bartenders were fun and knew what they were doing. Live music was decent entertainment. Good time had by us!

Great atmosphere, excellent food. Really packed during ski season and they don't take reservations. It is worth the wait though! I highly recommend eating here!!

Fantastic ski bar! Great pizza pies and friendly staff!!

Good pizza, we had a plain, meat, and one with mushrooms. The service was outstanding, the music was very good, prices were very reasonable and the apres ski was nice. Drinks were good and cold, I'll go back again. It's a good vibe in this place. There's a whole bunch of old ski stuff - bumper stickers, skis, signs - enough to keep you interested and keep the conversation going as you spot something you recognize. It definitely gives this place a good vibe.

Right on the mountain, this Ski bar is large enough to get the whole gang seated and filled up with hot and delicious food after a long cold day on the slopes. The ambience resonates with that of a ski lodge and the downstairs gets the music loud and the people rowdy after dinner. Don't hesitate to check Matterhorn out next time you're up at the mountain!
