Merci Montecito and Elizabeth are an utter delight. The space is so beautifully designed and furnished... textures and tones chosen thoughtfully... every piece of cutlery and stoneware is exquisite... the entire shop is impeccably put together yet filled with warmth. The food is just as beautiful - an absolute culinary experience and a true gem in Santa Barbara...

This place is delicious! I got the chicken paillard with green olivey sauce and lemon plus the chicory salad, potato salad, and rice. All of the items I ordered were gluten-free which was amazing! They don't label gluten-free on their online ordering site (wish they did!), but the in-restaurant menu is clearly labeled. Everything was super tasty - great flavors and textures. The restaurant itself is adorable with lots of delicate pinks, brass, light wood, and marble. We sat outside on their patio and took in the sunshine. It's a great location in the Montecito Country Mart. The staff was lovely and welcoming too. I really hope they write a cookbook - I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Amazing, creative, French inspired food at this little gem in Montecito Country Mart. Took me way too long to try this place, and I was blown away by everything we ordered. My favorite thing was a simple white bean salad with preserved lemon and basil, so perfectly seasoned and unique. We had a hard time choosing from the pastries and desserts, because everything looked right out of a food magazine— turns out, that’s exactly what the chef and owner used to do, for Martha Stewart Living. We landed on the chocolate chip cookie and a tart with candied cara cara oranges, both spectacular. Food this good is surprisingly rare in SB, will be retuning regularly.

Wow. Merci truly made our trip from LA .. so much so that we ate here for lunch twice in three days! Everything was beyond ... from the perfectly curated menu and delicious food to the staff and reasonably priced wine, we will be back every time we visit. Unique, charming, and tasty .. thanks for being a gem Merci!

I had the most delicious Spicy chai latte I think I’ve ever had and I love spicy chai lattes. The first sip hit my lips and I was incredibly pleasantly surprised. It was rich, creamy, with that fun kick at the end. Totally worth a try.
They restaurant is adorable as well. Posh and welcoming at the same time. They even have outdoor seating too.

This is best pastry I’ve had in my entire life. I was hesitant to enter as it was just me and my infant out on a early run to vons. I was tempted by a citrus pastry and oh my what an experience. It was worth the shame of entering in my pajamas 10/10 go ahead and save this.

Best cappuccino after 6 months in SB. And the lemon cake was delicious!!!

Merci is the most european cafe in SB area. Food menu is light fare, portions are on a smaller size (which personally I like), the presentation and design is top notch, but most importantly everything is very tasty, particularly the cakes which is the owners specialty. The service is laid-back and the coffee can be hit-or-miss depending on the beans that day. The location is in Montecito, so the place is on more but not overly expensive side. Overall this place defines a standard of food and presentation to which, hopefully, more places in the area will adhere.

Fantastic patisserie-boulangerie. Sandwiches and salads are fantastic. Espresso and milk drinks are the best in Montecito. Excellent service. Go here. :)

Elizabeth and her team does it best when it comes to providing excellent customer service and serving amazing dishes/pastries. Their coffee is also amazing. Keep up the good work Merci!

A gem in Montecito. Very tasty healthy food - the Chicken Paillard and both Kale Salad and Cucumber Salad are a must! Place is always clean and the crew is very friendly and smiling. Long life to Merci Montecito!

I've walked by Merci so many times and have never stopped in because it seems so "foo foo". I finally stopped in and tried it.
The skys parted, birds sung, and... a little exaggerated but Merci has some of the best food in Santa Barbara. And that's no easy task.
A little pricey but try it and I'm sure you'll agree.

Merci for Merci - just what we needed in the ‘hood, delicious breakfast perfect eggs with thick bacon and seeded toast (which I would normally not order but here it was really tasty). Can’t wait for their lunch menu.

The sweetest most loveliest humans run this amazing shop. 100% must go if you are ever in Montecito!

It is the best cake I have ever had in my entire life hands down. Worth the 80 bucks. Wow!
