I really enjoyed lunch at Frencheez. I got the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and my boyfriend got 2 Michigan and fries. We actually came for brunch but we’re interested in lunch and luckily they had a decent amount of lunch items. The French fries were amazing, they were so good. The burger was delicious. I liked the Michigan hot dogs as well. We got some chicken noodle soup broth for my son and it was so good, I’ve never had chicken noodle soup with so much flavor. The kids area was so cute, my son had a blast playing there. They had cartoons on an old looking tv with a flat screen in it. It was really cool. I enjoyed the decor it definitely has a 70’s theme. Our waitress was in 70’s clothes it was very cool. If we ever happen to be in the area again we will definitely be back.

The food is great! Many dishes are hand tossed. The French fries have such a great taste, you don’t even need ketchup! I’m not a rice bowl eater but my granddaughters are and they love them. These dishes are hand tossed, presented beautifully and taste as good as they look. The Hostess and waitresses are friendly and accommodating. Glutinous free desserts are scrumptious tea cakes so good! The owners are creative and work hard to perfect this business. Starting a new Restaurant from scratch has many challenges and they certainly are handling them as they move forward. The atmosphere is fun, creative and inviting. The 70,s feeling is a plus! As a daughter of a Restaurant owner most of my life, these owners and staff are definitely on top of what a customer wants.

Frencheez, one of the newest local restaurants in Rouses Point, truly deserves the 5-stars. We like to support local and the owners are just that! The food is delicious, the portions are spectacular, their hospitality is 2nd to none, and the atmosphere is just amazing. I’ve dined and ordered from Frencheez twice in the past week and let me tell you why this place deserves the 5-stars it’s receiving.

Let’s start with the food; I had dinner with my father who recently told me about Frencheez. Pictured below, we ordered Happy Hour (ends at 6PM, not sure when it starts) Poutine, as an appetizer. That was honestly spot-on poutine when compared to French-Canadians in MTL. It was robust and rich in flavor. Next up I ordered the Totally Taco Bowl and my father had the Pulled Pork Nachos. Awesome presentation on both. And just look at those portions man…if you leave here hungry it’s your own fault. Nonetheless, we both finished our meals, barely, leaving full and happy. Their logo is a fries mascot, and I’ll be frank, the fries are banging! Also pictured, Philly ‘Dilla for lunch the next day, fire.

Secondly, service we had Shannon serve us, she’s a local and was attentive and catered to our needs (which wasn’t much we hope). She was friendly and had a radiantly positive energy. In addition, the food and bevs came out relatively quickly.

Lastly, the atmosphere is 70’s style and when you walk in, I can imagine it’ll remind you of those times. There are plenty of 4-chair tables and booths to dine at or even post up at the bar & high-top seating on the other side, with select drinks, spirits and TV’s.

Other things: Located on Lake Street right-hand side if you’re coming from VT/CAN or left-hand side coming from NY/Stewart’s (next to Ray’s Appliances). Their bathroom is clean and the light to it is on the. They have select domestic & other beers, mixed drinks/cocktails, or even hard spirits if that’s your game. You can smell what they’re cooking in the kitchen.

In my opinion, this has got to be the best restaurant in town. Getting the most bang for your buck, great service, and everyone is extremely friendly. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I spoke with the owner, Brandie, when I was picking up my lunch, and it’s great to hear her story; locals opening up a restaurant locally. #EatLocal #SupportLocal

If you’re ever driving through Rouses Point, want to grab a quick bite/drink, or walking through our beautiful, quaint, town, then Frencheez is the place you need to visit! Thank you for lunch and dinner, we will be back again!

The owner Brandie was our server and she took our order totally on memory not paper. I mentioned I was gluten free and the restaurant has many gluten-free options. We were served with generous portions and the food was excellent. Great atmosphere along with great food making this a must visit.

Stopped in on our way back from Canada and had a great meal. Owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, food was delicious, and our 6 year old said it was one of the best quesadillas she's ever had. If you're looking for a kid friendly spot with a great atmosphere and prosecco on tap this is your spot!

Frenchie’s hands down the best restaurant in town and beyond. I’ve had amazing burgers and wings. The throwback tv dinners are also a favorite. I love it’s Time Machine like atmosphere that takes me back to bygone era. Do yourself a favor and drive over here. It’s worth the trip. It’s also affordable and reasonably priced. It took me a long time to discover this place. ❤❤

Stopped at Frenchies for lunch for the first time, it didn’t disappoint! Some really great tasting, quality food. It was a little out of the way, but so glad we stopped! Great service and atmosphere as well. We will be returning for sure!

Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. I’m a big fan of trying everything but today got the Thanksgiving poutine special and taco salad. Both were amazing and well cooked. Barely got through the door at home with the leftovers and my fiancé had the taco salad finished up in no time. Pricing is fair and portions are huge.

We LOVED this place! We were looking for a small town diner experience, and this hit the mail on the head! 70’s theme throughout with memorabilia. A couple owns and operates it. She is the front of the house, and even dresses for the era. He makes from-scratch soup daily. It was vegetable beef and was delicious. We shared the patty melt and a huge portion of fresh fries. Loved all of it! We highly recommend you try this place!

This restaurant is exactly what Rouses Point needed. The food is unique; not your standard burgers, fries, and michigans joint. The menu includes gluten-free options and healthier (yet equally as delicious) meal options. I love the cheeseburger salad. I get to enjoy a burger and not feel bad about it! The stellar spin (spinach dip and tortilla chips) is amazing. My three year out was eating it by the spoonful. Ambiance is great. There’s a really cool area for kiddos to play (couch, bean bag chairs, toys and television) and a really cool area for parents to have a drink and kick back (the bar 😉).

I went there with my husband and asked about a gluten-free menu and we were provided with the information that 90% of their items were in fact gluten-free and that they also had separate fryers
So there was no concern that he was going to have a allergic reaction
Because of cross contamination

We absolutely adored this place. Fun and friendly atmosphere and the food is phenomenal!
I had the greek nachos. They make their own chips. I thought I would want salsa and hot sauce, and the waitress brought me some salsa, but it was so flavorful that salsa wasn't needed. I also tried my son's french fries. Honestly, I've lived and eaten in many places and can say with certainty that these are the best fries I've ever eaten!

We have ordered take-out from here twice over the past few weeks. The first time we called, we were left hanging on hold for almost 10 minutes. (Oops! Mistakes hapoen!) But since we live within a couple of minutes' walking distance, my partner just walked over instead. We both ordered Classic burgers, which were delicious! And the fries had an unexpected but tasty seasoning. Not sure where the pickle spears are from, but they seemed fresh and had good crunch.
Our second take-out order we ordered Mushroom Swiss burgers, (my partner ordered his minus mushrooms!) and they also did not disappoint! The food was actually BETTER the second time!
Our next visit, we plan to sit inside and enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. Can't wait to try something different from their menu!

What an amazing place to stumble into on an Amtrak layover! Amazing staff, great food, and a wonderful style of décor with good music going. What else can you ask for! Would terrifically recommend the fried cheese curds and the Shirley Temple Float!
