The art in the same building are alone worth the visit. I love the building too because there is an outdoor patio to eat if you want and it is surrounded by gardens and plants. It is extremely natural around here. The food is amazing with lots of different options. The meal I got had lots of food which was at a good price. It was perfect for me and I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I went here for the first time today while on vacation in Pequot Lakes, and we will definitely be back anytime we are in the area. The service was fast and super friendly. On the surface, the menu looks like a normal breakfast spot, but it was so much more than that! Everything was cpoked perfectly, and the cranberry wild rice toast and the rosemary potatoes are so good!!

Everything was wonderful! The atmosphere is sweet and cozy and the food and service were wonderful! We went the day before Thanskgiving and they stayed open for us even though they were cleaning up early. I had a turkey and Swiss panini with cranberry sauce. The turkey was moist and flavorful and they were able to make the sandwich using gluten free bread. The potato salad may not look like much, the the flavor was unique and delicious! I can't wait to go back here with friends!

Aug 6, 2019. -- We celebrated our 59th wedding anniversary by bringing a dear 96 year old friend to the Hungry Loon Cafe. It was our first visit and we enjoyed it enormously. Great food--the Hungarian mushroom soup and my roast beef, cheese and mushroom sandwich--was absolutely awesome! Wonderful atmosphere as well and the help was so friendly.

This is a friendly breakfast and lunch spot. Breakfast consists of most of the (delicious) usual breakfast favorites. I like the breakfast burrito. Lunch offerings are a little more healthy than a lot of other area restaurants- fewer burgers and more wraps, salads, sandwiches and soups. Try the chicken salad croissant with Hungarian mushroom soup. Have to give this place five stars because the owner is so dang awesome!!

I stopped at this place with a group of friends before driving back to the cities on Sunday. I usually dont write reviews but was compelled to after eating there. It was great! The service was super friendly, the food was awesome, and it was well priced. We will definitely go back.

My daughter and I went here from breakfast right at opening. It has a cool vide to it with fun table cloths and wood beam vaulted ceilings. Needless to say it had loon themed nick naks everywhere. We had egg sandwiches on giant croissants and they tasted great. The server was very polite and friendly. It also has a pretty large patio for outdoor seating. When ever I am in town I will return to the hungry loon cafe. My only suggestion would be to add more items to the menu.

Found this little gem last weekend while vacationing. The food was absolutely fabulous. Huge portions. Everything was freshly made and price for meal was well below what I would expect to pay. I would suggest that they place a Erase board with specials outside to help draw people in. I was not even aware it was in the little mall. Glad I found it. We will be back in the future.

Small local Pequot Lakes restaurant with good food. They are located on a side street and worth stopping in for breakfast (only meal I have ever ate there). The owner is always onsite and will stop by your table to talk. They offer a cranberry/wild rice bread that is delicious.

Awesome! Went to the hungry loon for a late lunch, we had a veggie wrap and cashew chicken wrap, both were delicious. We realized upon leaving at 3 we had stayed an hour past their closing time without being pushed out the door or even a mention from the friendly staff. We'll be back :) outside seating and trivia at the table, too!

Wife and I stopped here for lunch. Both of us had a soup and sandwich. We both loved the Hungarian mushroom soup. Both sandwiches were really good, the lumberjack and the rueben. We will eat here again when in the area

I stopped in during a snow storm amd had a breakfast sandwhich with rosemary potatoes. My waitress Pam was so sweet to pack me up cookies on the house to finish up my 2.5hr drive home. We came back this spring for lunch amd the food is amazing. Try their hungarian mushroom soup and wild turkey sandwhich! Staff never disappoints. Its a must to visit here. You can't get more local than patio furniture, tables cloths amd cans of soda! 😄 Its like sitting in Grandpa's screen porch. I love it!
