The Blue Heron

This is a great local restaurant with a bar. They are only open Tuesday through Saturday. The Meatloaf Dinner lived up to the menu claim. It has an excellent gravy and huge portion size. The dining area appears to be newly remodeled. It is warm and inviting. I would definitely go here again.

Friday fish fry was really good, great place for kids. Our two year old loved the fish and Mac and cheese and especially the big crayons

Outdoor seating, fantastic service, beer and reasonably price fantastic food what else could you want?

Place is excellent visited twice both times great food and awesome service. Owner is right there answering all questions. I broke a small piece of the fish off you'll see in the picture but it was amazing.. unbelievable shrimp and corn chowder... Taco night is an awesome deal besides being delicious...

We had a wonderful dinner last night at the Blue Heron. The place was definitely busy, but we did not feel that from a service perspective. Our server, Katie, was friendly, efficient and skilled. She anticipated needs and seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out quickly. Everything was delicious-the pasta dishes were hot and flavorful, they obviously were prepared and immediately delivered to our table. The beef dip sandwich was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The salads were fresh and well proportioned. I couldn’t believe how many shrimp were in the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Lastly, the ambiance on the patio was lovely. Especially sitting near the fountain. Thank you for a wonderful meal and relaxing time. We will absolutely be back again!

The Blue Heron was a great place to eat in the afternoon. Excellent tasteful little place, with a great new fresh look.. Taco Tuesdays & 2.50 margarita s made the start of the day great. Naturally a bar or restaurant is only as good as the bartender or waitresses, something all owners should remember. Being good to a great staff is what makes you or brakes you. Our bartender was great and wonderful and definitely made the visit an enjoyable one that would make me wanna return. TVs in the bar with a wide selection of programs something different on each one, and a keno screen to play your games.

We had a large party for a family birthday and the staff accommodated us on the patio. It was perfect. The special was a chicken pesto pasta and was delicious. We have NEVER had a bad meal here. The fish fry is always plentiful and cooked perfectly. Fresh side salads and perfect calamari. The owner is hands on and almost always working when we go there. Friendly staff.

Stopped by for takeout (because of our dog) and found the restaurant relaxed and comfortable. The patio would be a great option once it's warmer. The food was very tasty--the fish was fresh, the fries were crispy and tender, and the Cole slaw was delicious. Service was friendly and quick.
Hopefully, our next visit to the area will be in warmer weather, and we'll be able to eat on the patio.

Omg! Do yourself a favor and order the best lobster roll and Blue Heron fries! They are to die for! Absolutely awesome restaurant! Service was fabulous, and the outdoor seating atmosphere was top tier!

Great food, nice outdoor seating. Ordered take out another night and it was good too. Everything was still hot when we got home.

Abby, our waitress, was very pleasant and sociable and made sure our orders were promptly taken. Our meals were very tasty. A must stop.

We went for taco Tuesday and it was absolutely delicious!! You can choose from fish, chicken or beef. They have Nachos on special too along with certain drinks. The portions were huge! Our waitress was great and very attentive. The dining room was clean and the music wasn't too loud so conversation was easy. Highly recommend!!

Great food, even better service. I had corn broccoli soup & fish tacos. My wife had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Hard to say which was better... they were both delicious!
