Our band recently had the incredible opportunity to play at Idol Beer Works, and it was an absolute blast! Not only does Idol Beer Works boast an amazing brewery, but it also stands as the best music venue in the Central Valley. A little low on choices today, but always delicious.

Great, friendly service, innovative and highly recommended brews, nice ambiance and easy to get to location. Can’t imagine any less than optimal reviews for Idol, but some are never satisfied. As for me, totally top notch brewery!

Great beer. Great ambiance and space. Love the outdoor area. Heard there's live music from time to time; however, we are in the midst of pandemic life. Food truck seems to always be present. Love coming here.

I enjoyed the beer. Started with the Blood Orange kolsch and kept going back to it. Refreshing and tasty. Brought some home. Very cool staff, too. Squeeze Burger truck provided the food.

We were here on 6-14-2018. This place is PERFECT. They have a huge front outdoor area as well as an additional outdoor side area with games and a stage for music and entertainment. The building was once a mechanic shop which obviously has a bunch of glass windowed garage doors with tons of sunlight coming in. Bring everyone you know, you will have no problem getting a seat. Well, once the word is out you might have to stand, LOL i'm not kidding this place is hot hot hot. This place is immaculate. It was really well done and we loved the beers. Our bartender was outstanding. They supplied board games and cards so while we sampled and drank up our favorite beers we played several card games. When we were done here we brought home a growler of my favorite beer which was called blood orange it was awesome. If this place existed in NJ (that is where we are from) it would definitely be a favorite hot spot to many. Lastly, after visiting several places here in California I'm relieved and happy to say that FINALLY there is a place that is dog friendly. It's funny that California is "OK" with illegals just coming into our country BUT pets aren't allowed in most places even if they are in a back-pack, stroller or on a leash. They are allowed here.

Nice airy taproom w/ some solid brews. The bartender was cool and the place had games out for you to play. Including Shuffleboard. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside. On the whole, I think this is a great stop in downtown Lodi.

This is a great, no-frills place to grab some high quality beers and hang out with friends and/or family. The beers cost what you'd expect of a place that serves a craft selection.

It seems they only serve what they have on tap, but everything they have on tap is clearly listed above the bar with mini descriptions including styles and ABV percentages. They serve every one of their beers in several sizes (from flights to pints to growlers), each of which is also listed clearly above the bar.

They have massive fans to keep you cool in summer, and they apparently allow taco trucks to park on the property (don't we Northern Californians love our taco trucks?). When I went, there was a Mexican-looking dude playing bagpipes. To me, that's 'Murica at its finest.

tl;dr: Great place to grab a beer or six with friends. Highly recommended.

Idol is Lodi.. Backwards. However the beer is great and so is the environment. Its very relaxed and friendly for all walks of life. If I lived closer a few pints on occasion with friends and a few board games would definitely be on the table.

I loved the beer the the bartender/tapmaster recommended.. It was exactly what I asked for tastewise. Super friendly people and they get the best food trucks for above par food. Just a fun, relaxed spot to hang out.
