Sunrise Bakery

Was on vacation and went to get some coffee and pastries. They were so delicious! The coffee was 10/10 was a little skeptical because it was a new place but I got a latte with vanilla and half and half and it was delicious. Very friendly environment! Def recommend!!

Very excited to try the sunrise bakery. We ordered a variety of bakery items. We did not try any of the coffee drinks (we had coffee brewing at home). Staff was friendly, it’s a quaint bakery that helps start your morning off with a smile. We ordered 2 cinnamon rolls, a croissant and a chocolate croissant. All tasted fresh and homemade. The cinnamon rolls are HUGE and can definitely be split amongst a few people.

I highly recommend visiting Sunrise Bakery when visiting SPI! The pastries are fantastic as well as the coffee/matcha. I had an iced lavender latte every morning of my stay and my partner ordered an iced matcha. The matcha is made traditionally and is really high quality. The croissants are flaky and have great layers just like a true croissant should! It’s a 10/10! You need to try!

Sunrise Bakery is a new gem on South Padre Island! Their cinnamon rolls are a must-try – absolute perfection. The pastries are divine, and the iced matcha is a refreshing delight. Don't miss out on their delightful bonbons and chocolate turtles. The owners create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's an amazing little spot that deserves all the praise!

Amazing new bakery! We loved the cinnamon rolls, croissants, chocolate strawberries and turtles. The coffee by Ernie was great too. Favorite spot on the island.

Visiting Sunrise Bakery was singlehandedly the BEST decision we made during our trip to the island. Between the mouthwatering pastries, the perfect cup of iced coffee, and the warm and inviting customer service (shout out to Maria and Ernesto! 🫶🏼) there’s really no reason to waste time thinking about where to get a sweet treat. If you’re reading this, go and give these amazing people some good business, they of all businesses are deserving of it.

If you’re looking for suggestions we highly recommend their specialty lattes (I had the snickerdoodle latte), the chocolate croissant, the strawberry cream cheese cruffin, any of the eclairs, the totes, and their bonbons. All were a 10/10! 😋

My favorite bakery around! The owners are wonderful people, use high quality ingredients, and only the best methods for creating their goodies! By far the best matcha on the island or PI, phenomenal chocolates and delicious pastries. Its also worth mentioning how clean and beautiful they keep the bakery.

Friendly staff, delicious pastries. It’s more laminated pastries not a panderia. The coffee is very good. I had the iced snickerdoodle.

Delicious baked goods and the service was patient and helpful. The Cafe dog was very sweet and a great addition to the staff. The croissants were amazing, flaky and buttery. I would recommend coming here to get a morning coffee and pastry.

Real iced matcha latte was amazing. Very calm and relaxing environment. Sparkling clean. Shoutout to Ernie for making a great drink.

LOVE the chai! It is so yummy I get it almost every time I go. I’ve tried the cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissant, 6” cake, cream puffs, brownies and chocolate chip cookie. Everything has been delicious. My favorite is the brownie which really paired well with my latte because it is SO rich. Also… the flakiness of the croissants 😍 Highly recommended this place - the owners are so sweet and hard working. Go early though if you’re visiting during a busier season - they sell out quickly!

Great new coffee shop and patisserie. The cappuccino is perfection. Ernie makes the visit extra special with his charm and smile. I’ll be back regularly.

Very welcoming bakery for my Sunday morning treats. Their cinnamon rolls are delicious with the most delectable cream cheese icing!! Finger licking good. One cinnamon roll can definitely be shared, as they are really big.

My husband and I went in this past weekend and tried it for the first. We ordered a delicious cinnamon roll that is just so big and yummy and we ordered some chocolate pecan caramel turtles. Absolutely delicious and the service was excellent! We will definitely be returning. 😊

This is a fantastic bakery and coffee shop. We ended up getting pastries and coffee here all three days of our time on the island. Maria makes excellent coffee and tea, and the pastries that Luis and his crew make are truly amazing. These folks are doing something really special, and you should come check them out!!

Edit: Would like to suggest a large black sign on the front of the building simply saying "Bakery". We drove by this business so many times because we couldn't read the sign.

They do not have donuts which is what we stopped in for. When the two couples behind us heard that, they left. Their loss! We instead chose a chocolate croissant. Sheer perfection! Tender on the inside with just the right amount of delicious chocolate, and crispy on the outside. Wonderful!

We were just driving through looking for a bakery with coffee and tea, but WOW were we impressed!! The cinnamon rolls were huge, everything tasted amazing, and the cream puffs eclairs were perfect. Wanted to take home one of everything. When you stop by please tell Elton that Zoey says Hi 😜🥰

I stopped in on the way to the nature center. They have Excellent strong iced coffee. The berry and cheese pastry made with croissant dough was very high quality. Happy times on SPI

Any time I'm on vacation, there's one experience I create for myself to make the vacation a success. That is to enjoy a good cup of coffee in the beauty of nature, in the quiet of morning. At SPI, I decided sunrise on the ocean would make for the perfect setting. I did my research to determine which coffee shop would be open in time to make this happen. Sunrise Bakery was the only one I could find open at 6:30. When I stopped by at 6:40, however, they didn't appear open. I was able to catch the eye of someone inside. She came to the door and let me know they were still getting caught up from Christmas and running a bit behind. Their baked goods were not quite ready to go. I told her I just wanted coffee. She said she could do that. I ordered a latte. She made me a lovely, flavorful latte in enough time for me to get in place to enjoy the sunrise that morning. Even though I insisted on getting inside when they weren't quite ready, she gave me great service and a delicious latte. I got my moment!
