Klondike Electric Bicycles

We stumbled on this place while in Skagway and it ended up being the highlight of our trip. The woman who rented us the bikes was fantastic. She gave us great directions for a self-guided 2 hour tour. We could stop and take little hikes here and there along the way. After our first stop at the falls and cemetery, someone stopped us and told us we shouldn't keep going on that road because there was a bear about to run across the road. There were dogs barking like crazy. Pretty scary. We deliberated and hung around quite awhile. A police car came racing by. After a bit the dogs quieted. We waited another 5 minutes then proceeded ... with caution. I'm so glad we did. The views were absolutely amazing. Skagway is beautiful!

We lucked up by walking into a shop of a woman who was part of the family that owned the e-bike company. She recommended we give it a try and we weren’t disappointed. We did the 2 hour rental and it was an absolute blast. Everyone working for the company was super friendly and helpful. The mapped out tour for our ride was scenic and gorgeous. If we ever find ourselves back in Skagway we are going to do the 4 hour tour. The e-bikes themselves were super fun and fast! Got mine up to 35.5, downhill of course! Awesome people.

Rented an electric bike from Klondike Electric Bicycles to explore Skagway in early June 2023. The friendly staff did a great job of informing me of the highlights to see. Really fun way to explore Skagway and Dyea. Beautiful area!

#1 favorite excursion in Alaska. I loved Skagway and I love the Klondike hwy the owners at Klondike electric bike made this day so pleasing. Good down to earth people who provide an excellent experience! Can’t wait to come back and do it again! I really appreciate how friendly Nicole was during our visit!

Rented the Mustang Mach-E for our port day in Skagway. One of the best days of our trip! We followed their book for our drive, enjoyed the stop suggestions, info and facts. Stopped for ice cream as suggested in Carcross at the general store - very yummy! Loved the Yukon suspension bridge too! Emerald lake was pretty but not a necessary destination - enjoy the stops along the way and don't shorten the other spots just to get there.

Amazing experience in Skagway. All who are involved are friendly and the tour did not disappoint. The staff was thoughtful and the tours are well thought out. The bikes are in great condition and ride very well. 10/10 would do again for even longer!

My wife, daughter, age 11, and I were very privileged to book the Trail and Sail package. The experience was amazing from the first phone call with Nicole to book our package all the way to the end of our adventure. This Skagway adventure has everything you could possibly want from land to sea with a little gold sprinkled on top! We started with a short intro of the e-bikes with Nicole and her amazing team for fit and safety. After getting comfortable with the bikes, we were off to gold pan. Learning about the history of the town while experiencing the process of gold panning was amazing for the whole family, even though my daughter hijacked all of the found loot from our pay dirt. After striking it rich, we hit the road on the e-bikes and visited the old cemetery, an amazing waterfall, spectacular views of the city, and beautiful views of the bay. The e-bikes were so much fun and the best way to get around to see everything the town has to offer. Once we were done sightseeing, we headed over on the bikes to the small boat dock to meet Captain Brenden and Chef Ciara on the amazing "Hopscotch." This is a beautiful sail boat with an amazing crew that took the adventure to another level. Sailing in Skagway for a prime view of a mountain top glacier and 360 degrees of beautiful mountain scenery, all while relaxing on deck in a comfy beanbag, made us feel like royalty for the afternoon. With a light snack and a tasty beverage thrown in, we were ready to become permanent shipmates. As the day came to a close, we were on cloud 9 from our Trail and Sail experience. We can not wait to visit again and book this package with the amazing staff and newfound friends.

I cannot speak more highly of this place! When planning our cruise we had no clue what to book or how we were going to get around. We could not have had a better time with these bikes. The staff was so friendly and gave us a map of exactly where to go to see waterfalls, historic sites, etc. - Highly recommend to everyone, you will not regret it!

Hands down, the best customer service we have EVER experienced. Nicole and her team are incredibly friendly, helpful and do everything they can to ensure you have an awesome day exploring Skagway on their e-bikes! We opted for the self-guided tour out to Dyea and had a truly fantastic day! The app they had us download showed us exactly where to go and provided a bit of history along the way. Lunch was included and was delicious! This was our favorite excursion of our time in Alaska - HIGHLY recommend renting from Klondike! (Their dog Woody is pretty darn cute, too!)

We rented the Mach-E from Klondike Electric Rentals on our day in port in Skagway and it turned out to be an amazing idea. First of all, a great vehicle to drive - quiet and fast! Second, a super reasonable price and no need to fill the car with gas. And finally, Nicole and George made it so easy for us to rent and find our way to Emerald Lake. We would highly recommend renting from them! Thanks for the fantastic excursion choice!!

This was an amazing excursion! Anyone who wants to see Skagway at their own pace needs to rent an Electric Bike. My girlfriend and I rented bikes for 2 hours and it was more than enough time to see everything. The Husband and Wife who own this shop are extremely knowledgeable, friendly were very informative, and provided superior customer service. They also gave us some great tips to make Skagway one of our favorite ports this cruise! Definitely worth the cost, this is the perfect last minute excursion.

My partner and I borrowed two e-bikes on a very rainy/windy day while our cruise was stopped in Skagway, and completed a round trip of roughly 20 miles winding around the estuary. It was a gorgeous trip made solely possible by these awesome e-bikes. Nicole and George did a great job explaining our route and how to work the motors to our best advantage, and it was a godsend that halfway through our trip, we were able to stop at Cathy's outpost to warm our wet, freezing selves with tea, chili, and delicious Alaskan fish. I highly recommend these bikes, the self-guided tour, and taking full advantage of the excellent service Klondike has to offer.

11/10 would recommend, by far the best experience my wife and I had on our cruise. The electric bikes made it easy to cruise 20+ miles on the most scenic, romantic bike ride of my life. My wife and I had a blast, and you would be seriously missing out if you didn’t make this part of your plans while in Skagway.

We had an amazing time in Skagway! The staff at Klondike Bikes are amazing! So nice and very personable! We’d definitely rent again from this location!

My bike did die a couple miles away from the location on the way back but it was because I didn’t follow the explicit instructions given by Alex prior to starting our voyage to the lost city of Dyea.

I was throttling quite often and I was going very fast which depleted my battery. My wife on the other hand, barely pedaled but made it back with over 50% of her battery remaining because she kept a steady pace rarely exceeding 14-15 mph.

Follow the instructions offered by the staff and I can assure you you’ll have no issues with your bike’s battery life. Don’t be a dope like me…lol!

The BEST experience we’ve had in a long time. The owners are extremely friendly and very accommodating. They offered to stay open late so my wife and I could bike longer. Talk about customer service!! Their bikes worked flawlessly and we are strongly considering purchasing our own. We are so glad we did this experience to see more of Skagway and to work with such a wonderful company. Highly recommend to anyone.

Highly, highly recommend Klondike Electric Bikes for your Skagway experience! We had one day to spend in Skagway coming off our cruise, and we hit the jackpot, taking Skagway in with renting ebikes! From checking out your bike to learning how to use the ebike to receiving personal recommendations from the staff to EBIKING SKAGWAY to bike return, this is place to get an experience of a lifetime! We were first greeted and provided with personal directions on where the store owners suggested to spend the day! We followed their suggestions and soaked in the beautiful scenery, enjoyed the historical views of the past going to Reid Falls, traveled along time to Dyea point, flats, and ghost town where we saw a bear! Before turning in our ebikes, we hiked to the breathtaking Dewey Lake and even had time to jump in to cool down! Upon returning the ebikes, the owners spent time talking to us about our wonderful experience!

Best way for the Skagway experience, ebiking with Klondike Electric Bikes!

Got off the princess cruise with nothing to do but ended up having an amazing adventure on these electric bikes. Renting them was less than 1/2 the cost of any other tour available and I felt we saw way more. The owners are great and will give you the best places to visit. It was a special trip away from the tourists and an experience we will never forget. The bikes lasted us over 25 miles in 4ish hours. We even saw 6 total eagles all on one fallen tree stump and salmon swimming in dyea. Bring your binoculars! Would recommend to anyone, and hope to go again next year!

Driving the Klondike Highway in an electric Mustang? How could it possibly get any cooler than that? I didn't hesitate to book this awesome adventure for our group on our stop in Skagway as part of our Alaskan cruise. Nicole and her staff were so fantastic and helpful and we were treated to the most spectacular scenery on our drive to the Yukon and back to Skagway. I can't imagine a better way to experience this part of Alaska!

Highly recommend! We had so much fun. E-bikes are a great way to see Skagway and Dyea. George gave us a great preparatory talk and we felt safe after a short demo. Since e-bikes are so quiet, we saw lots of wildlife. You can get adjust the settings to get a workout, or use full support while pedaling, so you can exercise as much as you like or just go for a leisurely pedal. We got a rental for four hours and it was perfect for going out to Dyea and all around that area, and hiking when we felt like it, with plenty of charge left on the bike battery. Online reservation form was simple and communication was excellent!

While on a cruise in June I was trying to get to the disc golf course easier. We checked out the electric bikes from Klondike. They were very helpful getting us started and explain the use of an electric bike. They told us how to get to the course and some things to ride and see after. We loved electric bikes so much, we bought our own at home. Thanks Klondike.
