Went to have a dress shoe repaired. Dropped it off on Wednesday and was told it would be ready on Saturday but was unfortunately out of town over the weekend and couldn't pick it up until Monday after work but fortunately they were very accommodating. The staff were very professional and my shoes look just as good as the day I bought them. They even have a 90 day guarantee on all their work where if anything were to happen to my shoes within the next 90 days I could just take them back to be repaired for free. Also very reasonably priced for the area and will definitely return should I need any work done again.

Pleased with the service here. I spent $60 to redo the heels of my booties (including replacing the sole and re-wrapping the heel when the original material was peeling away). Not super cheap, but I was aware of the price up front and was very happy with how everything turned out (they matched the heel wrap nicely -- looks like new).

Their service and their work is fantastic! They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for -- this is the only place in the area I'd trust with my favorite shoes and higher end handbags.

They've also gone above and beyond to save me money and hassle -- following up with the manufacturer of my suitcase several times until the replacement part was sent for free.

I almost never write reviews but I can't recommend them enough!

The service has always been fairly quick when I have taken my shoes there. He does an amazing job polishing shoes... they look so good when i get them back! He doesn't try to oversell you for what you need and does honest work.

I've had 1/2 soles put on 5 different pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes, the leather shaft of LL Bean Maine Hunting Shoes re-stitched and new heels on two pairs of boots. This shop did excellent work on all accounts and has saved me $$$ with repair rather than replacement. The shop owner is courteous and attentive and I feel lucky to have a great shoe/leather repair shop in my neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Do yourself a favor and go to Sam Torrey for any shoe related repair. He fixed up a pair of vintage boots of mine and made them look brand spankin’ new. I actually couldn’t believe they were the same pair of boots. His prices are really fair too considering the high quality of work.

There are not too many cobblers around anymore and the few that were available have gone out off business.

Heard about Sam Torrey through my husband, who has taken several pairs of shoes there. One fateful night, a dear dear friend spilled red wine all over my brand new WHITE full grain leather Frye mules. The next day, I rushed them over to Sam Torrey's and although there was nothing they could do about the wine stain (I should have weather/water proofed them before wearing them!), they were able to re-dye them to a beautiful deep burgundy for next to nothing ($$). They have my trust and future business!

not cheap but well worth it. the owner isn't shy about telling you if your job isn't worth it but if you insist he go ahead you'll not regret it. i've had a leather jacket refurbished, the sole affixed to some old boots and a belt shortened from what he considers the "wrong end". old favourites back in my wardrobe for years more use!

Worth the 10 day wait to get a pair of leather oxfords fixed that I was about to write off due to leather splitting in the toe creases. Compared to replacing the shoes the price was exceptional. If you are looking for a straight-forward cobbler who will fix your shoes, Sam is the go-to in Arlington.

Perfect experience: before I dropped off my boots I had a few questions that the employee and owner were happy to discuss. And when I picked them up they looked even better than I expected. Great quality and workmanship.

Always bring my shoes here. They are attentive, thorough and they have a quick turn around too. I used to just throw shoes out if my heels etc broke but now I always come here. Parking lot is a pain as it is very small

I needed to have a d ring replaced on a nice bag. I was in and out within ten minutes and my bag is as good as new. Very friendly service too. I would highly recommend this shop.

I have been coming here since 2008. They have fixed my boots, my backpack, and my relations foot ware. I refuse to let anyone else touch my prized leather goods. you are at a loss if you take your leather goods any where else.

Excellent work done with integrity and respect. Very happy with what they have done with my daughter's shoes to make up for a leg discrepancy. Affordable too.
