Drinks, service and the food was fantastic. Small menu, but what they have is just amazing. A must if you are in the area.

The food here at Preserve was excellent! I had the BLT and it was so juicy! The bacon was superb. Coffee was very tasty and the fries were cooked to perfection!
Highly recommend!

Lovely environment & ambience with Lexi our exceptional server! Amazing array of creative cocktails and libations! Generous portions of fried chicken, the mac-cheese with bacon & jalapeños delicious, but the sturgeon fish & chips delectable tender fresh succulent in perfect batter is beyond description! Our favorite spot for getting old fashioned cocktails and tasty bites! The papas bravado with tarragon are fantastic.

Stumbled upon the back bar at Preserve while staying in winters one night while on a road trip. The employees were friendly, especially the dark haired man and women with red hair that were behind the counter in the back. The menu is small but seems focused and the dishes I had were both good. Nice wine, beer and cocktail offerings as well. Lovely and relaxing atmosphere.

I don't know if anyone else likes fresh-from-the-farm food, but I do and Preserve serves it up perfectly. We made reservations because the seating is limited (not sure if COVID related). We arrived early but were seated immediately. The hostess was friendly. After being seated our waitress was there almost immediately with water and menus. She offered advice on the menu and was very attentive the whole time we were there. I decided on Mary's Fried Chicken while my wife had the Sturgeon. The fried chicken was just like my mother used to make. It was juicy and tender and there were 5 pieces along with hot sauce, garlic and (really delicious) sweet pickles. I thought the sturgeon was good but my wife thought it was fantastic. Preserve has great ambiance, is quiet and has great service. Unfortunately it is on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. IMO, not a place for kids, although there was a family there. I'll definitely be back!

Really great food and what a fun atmosphere. Every dish we had was awesome...the best of them all was the shrimp and grits. The grits are a polenta style cake that is crisped golden brown and the topped with a delicious sauce and shrimp. The pizza was also very yummy. I highly recommend the corn and peppers...shishito peppers and corn grilled and then served with a light sauce...to die for.
I will be back...sooner than later.

We were looking for a fun side adventure while staying in nearby Davis. We are so thankful someone at a store in Woodland gave us this recommendation. We drove about twenty minutes through beautiful farm land criss crossing our way across back roads that were absolutely picturesque. It got even better when we crossed over the bridge leading into Winters. This quaint little town was as charming as it gets. The very first thing you see when entering Winters is a little gas station and the Preserve. It makes a great first impression and only gets better after you walk in. We got a very friendly greeting while waited a very short time for a table on the patio outside. Service was super friendly, prompt and professional. There was a great wine list with varieties from local vineyards. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. It has a centrally located full bar and tons of seating for very large and small parties. The decor was so cool and consistent with farming surrounding areas. The were succulent planters made from truck hubs, pretty industrial but so visually appealing. Everywhere you turned there was something really creative and cool to look at. This was a side trip I'd highly recommend and will do again for sure. Give it a thought, you won't be disappointed. Be sure to take a stroll after you eat. There is so much natural beauty and history within a few hundred feet. The railroad bridge holds a particular place in Winters' history.

This place is a new favorite. Excellent, often changing menu. They will frequently take simple staple foods, like pork chops, and deliver it incredibly flavor. Presentation is amazing.

They have a dessert menu to die for. For real, you should go with a group so you can try all different items. They are all delicious.

Everything is sourced locally and prepared on site, even the ice cream.and marshmallows for dessert.

Atmosphere is top notch. One of the coolest bars around.

This place was just delicious, fine dining that won't kill your pockets!

We wanted a little bit of everything so we shared all the dishes family style.

We have the beets as a starter, the butter lettuce salad ( Not pictured), the ravioli and the pea shoots(also not pictured), the risotto with seared scallops, and the wagyu Babette.

Everything was perfectly seasoned and well balanced. Nothing was too salty or tangy, it was just right.

Then we HAD to get dessert, the beignets, the hot fudge Sundae with brittle, and the strawberry Marshmallow semifredo was all very delicious. What was even better was cutting the beignets in half and putting a spoonful of sundae inside...YUM!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMING HERE!!!

What an awesome little town! The Preserve was an unplanned stop my Father & I made because we were passing through & hungry! We found it through our Navigation searching for Restaurants along our route, double checked the rating on Yelp, and decided to stop in. I'm so glad we did! We're already planning when we can come back with the rest of the Family. It's worth the 1.5 hour drive each way from our home town. Not only was the food excellent but so was the ambiance & the service! Our Server Destiny did a great job offering up some non-alcoholic beverages when we mentioned that we were observing Lent. She also let us know that many of their dishes could have the bacon left out if necessary! We ordered a couple homemade Ginger Beers and studied the extensive Cocktail, Beer & Wine list for a few minutes before ordering Dinner. We ended up choosing the Beet Salad, (I wish I would have taken a photo) the Charcuterie, Mac n' Cheese, and finally the Shrimp & Grits! I consider myself a "Foodie" and was super stoked with everything we ordered! I highly recommend eating here if you're in town! P.S. I wish I wasn't on Lent because so many of the Meat dishes sounded fantastic as well....TRY IT!!! I promise you'll be glad you did!

Got the reuben sandwich. Friend got the grain bowl. Both were delicious. My water was never empty and you will love to sit out back on the patio. 5 stars!

Fantastic service, beautiful restaurant and wonderful dishes. The Terra firma baby beets were tender and flavorful and the melon, house ricotta, and apple complimented them perfectly. The filet mignon was cooked to a nice medium rare and was very flavorful. My brother really enjoyed the fried chicken also! Enjoyed the local tempranillo as well.

Great food, great atmosphere, and I loved that it had a grown up feel but families were clearly welcome.

The Moroccan Braised Short Rib was better than I expected! The couscous was very flavorful and soft, and the meat was so tender and very tasty! For drinks I got the POG mocktail, wasn't too bad. A lil on the tart side but due to personal preference I think I would have liked it to be sweeter. The server was friendly and funny and gave us great service.

Such a relaxing atmosphere at this place. Sat at the bar and had a cocktail along with the jalapeno jam plate. It was very tasty. I ordered the filet with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Presentation was beautiful. The steak was cooked perfect to order and was a so tender and delicious. Definitely recommend stopping in if you're passing through. Their menu changes with the seasons and they locally source all their dishes. Make sure you try one of their specialty cocktails.

Excellent service, excellent food, and excellent drinks.
Asked for flowers on my table for my Valentine's day date on the off chance they were able to do so and they provided a beautiful bouquet of flowers and cardstock hearts on the table.
Our waitress and bartender were amazing.
