Public Beach Access

I'm in love with this beach! Parking was great in mid September and the water was around 80 degrees. It was a bit windy and high tide brought on some pretty strong currents. The seashells on the beach were beautiful and even found 2 shark teeth.

Definitely recommend going if you can!

This is a great location and an easy beach access point. At this location there is bathrooms and rinse stations. Parking is free during the week and $10 on the weekends until 4pm. * Weekend parking is free from October until April.

Nice area to park and go to beach. Beach is nice and not as crowded. No toilet or shower here. No pier either. I like it here .

This beach was amazing! The water was super clear and the crab walks at night were so fun! Not too crowded, and no big college party crowd. Great place to enjoy the sand and waves!

Gravel lot with limited parking but worth the drive because the beach is not crowded there. The sand & water of Emerald Isle are lovely!

The beach is always a great place to escape to. If you haven't tried it, get out here. I'll never live anywhere else! The Island has some of the best beaches around!

Free parking, but no life guards.

It’s public. It’s an access. There is a beach. There is also a parking lot, a trash can, and a table. Ramp accessible. No bathrooms. What’s not to love NC?

Awesome beach not overcrowded at all

I gave it 5 stars because it was a great spot for parking right at the beach, its free, and they have a free library cabinet where you can take & leave books for people. We were able to get parking the moment we got there HOWEVER there is VERY little parking. The lot is quite small so chances are, if you dont arrive early or around the time people don't flood in, you will for sure not get parking.

Like others said, no bathrooms on site but there’s an Exxon 4-5 minutes by car up the road to the north (for a bathroom).

Handicap accessible with a good ramp. The beach is dog friendly if they’re leashed and they provide a doggy bag dispenser (as of 5/25/19).

Room in the parking lot for about 8 vehicles. There’s one picnic table at the top of the ramp for public use. No running water or hose.

Very nice. Free parking. Handicapped access to the beach. Would need a beach quality wheelchair after the ramp, though. Soft same down to the beach. Should be room for about 10 cars iif folks park tight.

Great beach... Clean, clear and soft sand

Ease of access, plentiful parking in the off season, I recommend to get there early in-season, favorite beach access for locals in the area as well as tourists. Under cover Picnic tables, clean ablutions and showers at the beach entrance. Highly recommended and well serviced.

Great spot .. emerald Isle is always our favorite beach ⛱ in the eastern shores.
