GroundShaker Coffee Bar

I know. I know. It’s cliche, but Ground Shaker Coffee Bar is such a breath of fresh air; a definite welcome addition to the lacking coffee scene in Surprise. Don’t get me wrong there are a couple great shops nearby, but my experience here today was nothing but awesome. Walking in I knew instantly they’ve already made a great impression on many. There were many groups of people inside enjoying their coffee and food items. What was once Sunsational Coffee, Ground Shaker has taken over. The entire location has been remodeled inside and it is amazing. One of the great things they’ve kept is the drive through option. Talking with the barista she said they bought out the previous shop, left a lot of the menu, but again the vibe and decor is a thousand times better. It gives off more of a downtown coffee shop, but still with a small town feel. In my opinion it is what has been needed here for so long. There is bar seating, casual comfy chairs, as well as larger tables for groups. Large windows bring in great lighting and had me feeling right at home. Pricing is good for what you get and drinks go up to XL. They offer a lot of breakfast items as well as lunch wraps. Service was wonderful and they were keeping up well with the large rush this Saturday morning. I asked a few questions before finalizing my order. I was pleased to hear they offer so many more assorted drinks than what is on the visual menu. I chose an iced white chocolate peppermint mocha this morning, an iced vanilla latte, a bagel with cream cheese and a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin with egg, bacon and sausage. Everything came out quickly and was delicious. I really enjoyed that the added flavor didn’t overpower the actual coffee. The coffee was great and just the caffeine bump I needed for a long day of sports with the kids. All in all I can’t wait to come back. I can see myself spending some downtime here.

Coffee and bagels were very good, the bagels tasted fresh, they also sell their own local honey and coffee, place has a cool atmosphere.

Strong coffee, cowboy aesthetic, friendly atmosphere, very clean. You can get some work done here while you sip on your coffee & eat some breakfast, or if not a fan of country music, take your drink to go. Highly recommend as opposed to starbucks or any other big franchise.

The young ladies at this coffee shop give great customer service. They have TONS of sugar free flavor options. Definitely give the "ex-girlfriend" latte a try its the best drink they have. But everything I get there is great.

Absolutely stunning coffee bar! This is what all coffee spots should aspire to be. Service is phenomenal, drinks are impeccable, and the nee western look is impeccable.

The manager Amanda and staff are beyond awesome! The customer service is above and beyond! The drinks are delicious, the coffee bar is adorable and they have so many sugar free and regular flavor options!

We took note of this establishment as we were driving by a couple days ago. We had tried it before. But at that time, it was a different coffee shop, under a different name, and we were not very impressed. Don’t get me wrong, it was okay, but it lacked ambiance. We’ve been to a fair amount of coffee shops in the valley, and we like to give each one “a shot” to wow us, at least a little. To be totally honest, as a place of business, you have one chance to give me a good first impression. Unfortunately, they didn’t, and we never went back. But then a couple days ago we noticed it had a different name, so we checked out the reviews online, and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did! Our experience was nothing less than awesome. It was clean, the coffee was delicious, the pumpkin cheesecake muffin was tasty, the ambiance was nice, and the service was great. I mean, what more could we ask for, right? We got the opportunity to talk with the manager, Amanda, who was very personable and a delight for us to get to know.

Do yourself a favor and give them a try. After the experience we had to today, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all. Another plus, they have a drive-thru!

First time, 10 days ago. Staff was very friendly, approachable, helpful and willing and ready to serve. Me i options and prices are excellent and the quality is superb. Came back last Monday and this past weekend as well. All same good things ! Items I’ve ordered: custom flavor (German chocolate cake& cupcake) latte with almond milk, Asian coffee, American hot and iced, create your own breakfast sandwhich on crossaint. The prices are fantastic. The atmosphere is like a lil rodeo house… total cowboy/ropin vibe. The owner also sells his own bee farm local raw honey there too. That’s a plus !

One latte didn’t match the way I got it last time & they fixed it the next day and gave me a new one. I saved the previous one as I wasn’t pleased .. it was a different size than the one I first ordered so the flavor ratios were off. The staff adjusted it and told me how to order … that was helpful. Really, if your looking for small and local but big service and a delicious hand crafted coffee, come here ! Oh, they sell their coffee, bagged and ground too!

Went today for the first time. Service was great; they were quick especially considering there was a little bit of a line. Lot of choices. I got the caramel chai and my husband got a mocha macadamia latte. Both were delicious and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that they have New York style bagels 😍😍😍

Their dedication to cofe and expreso, friendly staff, and mouthwatering bagels and bakery items make it a five-star coffee shop that deserves all the praise. I can't recommend it enough!

Literally the best atmosphere you will find with a peaceful workspace . Super friendly staff and fresh food for every meal freaking clean with each order. So happy I found a place I can call home .

Id seen this place many times when Cycle Gear was right next door but never stopped by. Came in to grab a dirty chai, ended up getting 3 of the breakfast sliders to accompany it. The sliders were fire.. big enough to be able to enjoy in 3 bites and small enough to shove a whole one in at once(was definitely more hot than one would want to do that with but it was already too late)
Chai tea was good too 🙏
