Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Thinking or water ice, I think about Rita's. This place is just off Lancaster Ave, with very limited parking. But I am able to get in get out most of the time. Our favorite at this place is always mango ice.

This one gets busy especially on hot days so have a backup plan for parking, the lot is really small and cramped when it's not full. The service here is always great.

I go here with my kids often. Right around the corner from playground. The staff is nice. What more can you say. Rita's is always a good treat.

Staff was busy and working hard and still made sure we were 100 percent happy with our choices. Was very impressed with their establishment.

Grandkids love it, and so do the adults. Nice assortment of water ice flavors that change occasionally, and really good vanilla and chocolate soft serve. Fun options like gelati's; water ice and soft serve, blended water ices, milk shakes, concrete soft serve ( similar to a "Blizzard), and more. If it's warm / hot, just expect to wait.

After a long day of work and construction around the house, it was wonderful to kick back with my sons and small horse at Rita's in Downingtown. We were in a rush to get there before closing, so I quickly changed out of work pants and into a bathing suit so as not to deprive the kiddos of their promised reward.

Fortunately, if you are friendly and smile at everyone in line, no one will acknowledge that you are wearing underwear longer than your floral bathing suit. Wonderful night.

Employees were very nice and friendly and we didn't have to wait long in line which is always great!

I have been working here since I was in high school (14) and it was my first job and now I am a college student still employed here. Overall this place is by far the best to work as a student because the manager is extremely flexible with your schedule and super nice. The facility is kept exceptionally clean and I have no complaints about working here.

Has a Smaller parking lot, but got Fast Courteous Service on a busy night !! Icecreams and dips, gelatos, slushies, icecream/slushie mixes, frozen custards etc... It's all good !!!

One of the best times I ever had an ice cream in my whole life, it is very special and different. Loved the experience and I wish I visit again

I'm a fan of Rita's. Thier water ice is very tasty and has good authentic flavors compared to other brands I have had. I love the Gilate, it's the perfect blend of sweat and custard. The parking at this location is challenging sometimes but is worth it for the tasty treat.

The servers here are always nice, and fast. I love this drive-up ice cream shop! The custard is DELICIOUS. Swirl with chocolate sprinkles in a cone is my favorite. Second favorite is the mango gelati with swirl ice cream. Mmmmm

Good selection, interesting flavors...wish they'd bring back the horchata. 😁

I passed here on my way home at around 11:00pm and really wanted a mango misto, but they were closed, understandable. Then I went down a winding road and flipped my car.
Totaled it. Glad I didn’t get any cus i would’ve been covered in it. Still, I really wanted a mango misto that night.
Btw I climbed out of my car with no scratches or bruises.

Great place to stop by at the end of the day before going home and settling in for night.
Very popular and busy at times so be ready to possibly wait, but it's worth it.

Haven't had a Rita's vanilla custard in over a decade....it definitely didn't disappoint on this hot summer day.

Had the black cherry. Always a favorite at Rita's. Little chicks of cherry mixed into the sugary sensation. I also like the lemon.
