So much fun!! We did 3-4 hour tour. Carol does such a great job! She provides everything from the kayaks, life jackets,etc and even a picnic lunch! We'll definitely will be doing this again and highly recommend her. GREAT FUN!!

The owner is a very kind passionate woman. You can stop by and grab a beer while also having interesting conversations about almost anything. I guarantee you will leave with a stomach full of beer and a big smile on your face! What a fantastic addition to Downtown Henderson!

We booked a guided Kayak tour on Kerr lake and it was great! Carol was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great experience and we would book again.

Hidden gem! Had everything my family and I could’ve asked for on the way to our camping trip. We hadn’t considered kayaking until we discovered Carol’s for rent! Core memories were made.

Ideal excursion! 3-4 hour kayak tour with gear, training, lunch, and super-competent, positive, trustworthy, confidence-inspiring guides. Definite “do again”. Had beer on the patio back at the shop afterward, and completely enjoyed the Gizmo Oktoberfest. Extraordinary leadership and hospitality in both the shop and on the tour. I wish I had photos to share, but I didn’t bother with my phone at all during the hands-on fun. Can’t wait to reserve another date! Highly recommend!

Family friendly and very well stocked for any camping needs. I ended up with a fantastic waterproof hat, the best flight flops I have ever owned, and a walking stick with a compass among some of my favorite purchases here. My son and I played a huge Connect 4 game while my husband shopped and we all enjoyed beverages on the outdoor patio. Definitely recommend this place for a fun family outing!!

Gear and Beer is an awesome establishment. I have bought beer, shoes and bags from Carol. She is fun, warm and welcoming.

Great store & a very friendly store owner! We were on our way to camp and had forgotten some essentials. Thankfully we found this store, it had things that we didn’t even think of but came very handy on our trip! They also have clothing, etc. for everyday use so it’s not just a camping store. We will definitely be back. So convenient that they also sell cold drinks including beer!

Gear & Beer is such a light in our downtown it’s the perfect place to shoot the breeze and enjoy an afternoon with a drink outside with friends! A must visit in Henderson!

We bought a vehicle from carol out of her store. Paid high blue book for it. Broke down 5 miles after we purchase it. Come to find out it needs about the same amount of money to fix is as we paid for it. We were absolutely taken advantage of. Carol told us tough luck and see ya. I gave her a few options, one being she refunded some money or maybe pitched in on the repair. Her reply to us was “ don’t contact me ever again”. She’s not a very respectable person, only money hungry. So now this car just sits in our driveway until we can someday come up with a repair fund.
