Wonderful place. To anyone complaining about a “smell”, that’s the smell of freshly butchered meat (specifically beef). The store LOOKS a little bit dated, however, everything is very clean, and everything looked fresh as far as I could tell. Best cuts of meat I’ve seen in literal years. Great prices. The staff left nothing to be desired. No one was trying to be my best friend in our thirty seconds of interaction, but they were FAR from rude. Wonderful experience overall. 100% would recommend. 200% will be back soon. This is literally the third time I’ve been impressed enough to bother leaving any kind of review for anything ever.

Bearpond Market is a great little butcher shop in an unlikely place... a gas station! They offer fresh, hand cut meats, produce, prepared foods, and groceries at reasonable prices.

From the outside you have what appears to be just an old store but then... WOW!!! You are in there and not just For a few moments.... we're talking YEAH... WHAT HAVE YOU GOT FOR ME TODAY BABY!!! Their choices of meat alone ... well you will just have to go and have your own experience with that. They sell whole and half hogs for pig pickings if you feel like sharing. Bottom line.... just go guys!!! It's worth ever cent you spend.

I go here for their fresh country sausage (mild). This time I got a chocolate pie. ❤

This is our go to place for steaks and roasts! Worth the trip to get special cuts and consulting with the butchers. Love those guys! Great selection of locally loved foods, including hoop cheese, salt herring and more. We go there for the MEAT.

Talk about a country gas station/market. I’m tickled pink with this place. Great place to get nice cuts of fresh meat, lottery tickets, gas and more. Try the spicy sausage. Folks are friendly and prices are good.

I would never have found this place if a local hadn't told me about it. The breakfast they offered was great. The meat counter looked awesome. I am going to have to go back and get some of that link sausage I saw.

Great place to get butcher cut steaks as heavy as you want them. Prime ribs, whole hogs, country sausage and more. My go to place when I'm gonna fire up the grill.

The Bear Pond Market is a hidden gem! It's more than even a small grocery market with it's full service butcher who will cut your steaks to order! Wonderful fresh produce and personal service that you won't find in a traditional grocery store.

Was there last night,very clean,fresh cut meats daily, like it's like old country store,buy whole hog,or case chicken, what ever your preference is.stop by I know you will come back the second time. I go, almost every day, to the store it's very convenient.

Always friendly. They have an impressive selection for their size and the best meat I've gotten in NC. Better than any chain store.

They have the biggest, best steaks I have ever seen in the state of North Carolina. Everything is a little pricey but well worth the small town, down home feel.

Amazing place for meats and you can get your own meat cut here anyway you like but only on certain days! Very good place with amazingly friendly staff!
