Wow!! Love this place!! Everyone needs to experience the great atmosphere and the FOOD!! O. M. G. The salmon with polenta was just delicious! Go...you can thank me later!

We had read all the reviews and were reluctant but a bit eager to try this place “up on Signal”.

We made a reservation on the website which was easy. Had I to do it again, I would have noted that the patio is enclosed and is just as comfortable as inside.

We sat at the bar waiting for our table (we were early). She had a nice glass of wine and I had the Civilized Old Fashioned (a bit sweet, but still good).

Our table (inside) was ready.

The appetizer was “Whipped Feta” with na’an triangles, we shared a small salad, and then we shared the roasted double-chicken special. All very good. I stuck with my original Old Fashioned and she had another glass of wine.

Jackson was our table server and provided good advice as well as impeccable service.

The place used to be a red/white checkerboard tablecloth Italian place, so the atmosphere was very nice. Maybe a tad loud and the warning/advice about parking was spot on.

$78 (before tip) for three drinks and quite enough food to share and leave feeling full but not stuffed.

Could not have been more pleased with our experience here, we will most definitely be returning. Service was wonderful from start to finish, our server offered great wine/cocktail suggestions and she was delightful. A very warm and inviting atmosphere, beautifully and tastefully decorated. Appetizers were larger than expected (which was a good thing) and they were EXCELLENT; we had the whipped feta and salmon cakes. Their cocktails were great and the wine selection was unique and full of variety - we were very pleased with all of our beverages. Entrees were SO tasty and beautifully presented; we had the sausage pasta and steak frites and both were wonderful, and the portions were filling. We can’t wait to go back.
We think this restaurant will do very well, especially in the area it is in. We want Civil Provisions to add brunch to their menu/hours ;) It is such a great spot with a wonderful atmosphere, we know this establishment will flourish.

We had a fantastic experience here. We started off with the calamari and whipped feta - both were amazing, but the calamari was the best calamari I’ve ever had, and you got a ton of it. We had the burger and lamb and both were delicious. We finished with the brown butter cake and it was the best dessert I’ve ever had The atmosphere/vibes are incredible at this restaurant. 10/10 would recommend!

Reservation made online and we sat inside as it was a cold evening last night. It was a bit loud inside. Service was excellent. Beautiful restaurant. There were 4 of us and we started with the whipped feta which was great. For the main dishes - Salmon with polenta and carrots was excellent; Lamb Kofta Gyro as well as the Chicken Alfredo with tomatoes and capers were awesome as well. Salata Baladi could have had more arugula...a bit sparse for $12. We weren't fans of the Salsiccia Pizza...even with the new crust and not the focaccia bread. It was just ok. Still a thick crust and I prefer thin so I shouldn't have ordered it and I definitely wouldn't order it again. How about adding ground lamb kebabs with lots of med spices and taziki with a side of grilled vegetables? Please keep the Lamb Kofta Gyro as it was superb. Overall a great experience and we will return.

Oh my gosh, where to begin? You can tell from the moment you walk in how thoughtfully and carefully designed this space is. It feels homey and warm while also feeling elegant. My husband and I went on a Saturday night and were immediately taken with how cozy the space felt. Our server, Faith, was a wine expert and helped us select the perfect bottle for our meals. Definitely try the whipped feta, and don’t skip dessert! We also tried a couple of cocktails which were divine, and spent a few hours just relaxing and eating. We were never rushed or ignored, and honestly could have stayed even longer. So glad this spot is open and I can’t wait to go back!

Wife and I had an amazing early night out at Civil Provisions. We scored reservations for 4:30 yesterday. The place looked fantastic. Our waitress Brie was awesome. She was familiar with the dishes, suggested drinks, friendly and bottom line top notch.
The say their menu is limited right now, but I felt it truly offers something for everyone. Strongly advise trying the hummus as your appetizer.
Their burger I feel was the best I have ever had. Topped with bacon jam and I believe bread and butter pickles. Awesome.
Can't wait to return to see what items they add. Nice job to all that work there.

I crave the caesar salad until my next visit. Love trying new drinks; I’m never disappointed! I especially love the dessert menu, and can never decide which one to order! Every time we’ve visited the atmosphere is incredible. Acoustic tiles have made sitting at the bar more enjoyable. Each time we learn something new about food and drinks from our wait staff. It seems like people here have a knowledge and passion for food and drink.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with the bar service! The staff was not only friendly and attentive but also incredibly skilled at mixing up some delicious drinks. It truly added a touch of excellence to our evening, and I couldn't have been happier with their service. Kudos to the entire team!

So excited to have this option on Signal! Fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes, reasonably priced, fun atmosphere - just perfect for a dinner out. Menu has a variety so everyone will find something they love. Friendly enough to bring kids (kids menu available), but fancy enough to drink a good cocktail or glass of bubbles with friends. 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful new (to us!) space on Signal Mountain! Our waitress, Isabella, was so accommodating and responsive. The atmosphere was fun and chic, cocktails were amazing, and food was delicious! We will be back!

We enjoyed our dinner at Civil provisions and bar very much. They did a beautiful job redecorating the place, the service was on point, Jackson was very professional and took time to make sure we had a good experience. The calamari was great, it is a huge portion so you can definitely share, we also liked the kale salad and the steak frites was delicious too! We finished with a lovely flourless chocolate cake and a lemon cake, the only thing that was missing was an expresso, maybe they could add it to the menu in the future! They do have a great selection of wine and cocktails. We needed a place like this on Signal, Happy they are here and wishing them great success!

A great space with lovely staff. Really enjoyed the white pizza on focaccia bread and steak truffle frites. I like that they had a mocktail selection with shrubs!

What a sweet addition to the mountain Civil is! I was lucky to be able to pop over after work for an early reservation, but will happily drive the 30 minutes from my house for a cozy date night. Our server was so knowledgeable, the ambiance was cheerful (everybody truly seemed happy to be there), and that salty crunchy calamari was such a highlight. Civil is an easy choice for date night from here on out.

Absolutely fantastic. So thrilled to have such a wonderful place up on the mountain. It was my husband's 1st choice for his birthday dinner and did not disappoint.

I can’t say enough good things about Civil Provisions. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the whipped feta, watermelon salad and grilled shrimp. The cocktails and mocktails were unique and refreshing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the restaurant is beautifully designed. I was too stuffed for dessert so I will definitely have to come back soon!

We had a very good experience. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was also very good and it is nice having a new restaurant with something different to offer up here. It was a bit loud in there and hard to hear each other, which I suspect is due to the size and number of people. Also, parking is not particularly abundant in the area. However, neither are deal breakers and we will definitely go back.

Can’t say enough good things about Civil. The food menu, cocktail & wine list are well thought out and executed to perfection. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable too! Signal Mountain has needed a place like this for a long time.

We have ordered takeout and last night we ate at the restaurant. Best service I’ve had in a while. Our server (forgot his name but he had short hair and a beard ) was super knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations.

We have been looking forward to the opening of Civil Provisions. & Bar. The space is strikingly beautiful. It is easy to see the amount of thoughtfulness that went into every detail of this restaurant- from the delicious menus, elevated interior, & hospitable service. We are looking forward to many a happy hour at the stunning bar.
