The Vineyard at High Holly

Great lunch/afternoon spot. Very large space. I went at the end of Winter and it was still beautiful so I can’t imagine what it looks like in the spring, summer, and fall. We will be back. So happy to have a vineyard like this so close to our house. I’ll be interested to see how they manage weddings/private parties vs the general public. Either way, glad they are here.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Lesley and Eric and the entire wedding experience at The Vineyard at High Holly! When I tell you they will go to any length to make your day exactly what you want it to be, I mean ANY LENGTH. Lesley made sure every detail was perfect and we felt so secure knowing that she wasn't going to let any of the details fall through the cracks. They really had our backs. On top of the wonderful people, the vineyard itself is just the most picture perfect place for a wedding. Having our friends and family be able to stay on the property with us was both a major convenience and just plain fun. Even though the weather was cold and rainy on our wedding day, it was blissfully romantic. All the lodging is beautifully stylish and cozy at the same time, and I love that unlike so many other venues, we'll be able to go back over and over to stay at the vineyard in the future. If you want an unforgettable wedding experience, this is the place for you!!

Despite not focusing on wine during our visit, we found ourselves immersed in the serene ambiance that only a vineyard can offer.

The staff at The Vineyard at High Holly were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. They greeted us with warm smiles and were more than willing to provide recommendations from their cocktail menu. Their knowledge and passion for mixology were evident as they shared insights into each drink's ingredients and flavor profiles.

The cocktails themselves were absolutely delicious. Each one was thoughtfully crafted with attention to detail, resulting in flavorful combinations that pleased our palates. We cannot say enough good things about High Holly and Lesley and Eric. We had our wedding here on May 20, 2023 and it was absolutely beautiful.

We were the first wedding at High Holly after Lesley and Eric bought the property. We were nervous about the changeover but honestly we wish it had happened sooner! Lesley was absolutely on top of it from day one. She was attentive, empathetic, and so much fun to work with! If she had been there from the start I know our wedding would have been even more exceptional.

On the day, Lesley was so incredible. She balanced the timeline with what she knew we wanted. She was always a beacon of calm and never added stress, even if what was happening was stressful.

It rained on our day, which wasn’t ideal, but she went out of her way to make sure we were updated and calm. She made so many arrangements to ensure we could make the call as close to the ceremony as possible. We ended up having our ceremony in the pavilion while it poured outside. It was beautiful and magical and amazing. The turnover from ceremony to reception was so smooth, even though it all happened in the same pavilion space.

To be honest, the accommodations really started from day 0. We had initially booked out the house that Lesley, Eric, and their family moved into upon buying the property for our rehearsal dinner. From our first communication, they made it clear that nothing would change and went out of their way to accommodate us.

I cannot stress enough how amazing this was. This is the home their family lives in and she let 80 of us into their space and was extremely gracious. She even offered a bedroom to a couple in our wedding party that would not have fit otherwise. This was just one example of how they went out of their way to make sure our wedding was exactly what we had in mind! They were so kind and did not have to help us as much as they did!

Our family and friends had an amazing time all weekend and it was such a beautiful wedding. Those who stayed at the property couldn’t say enough good things about the accommodations. The honeymoon suite was particularly nice! It was truly like staying in a five star hotel.

Our wedding itself was beautiful, the property was absolutely gorgeous. We really do not have enough good things to say about high holly and about Lesley and Eric! We are so glad we had the privilege of being married somewhere so lovely.

I attended the vineyard with a group of women from all over the states to have fun and play cards. My stay was in what they referred to as the chicken coop. It was a wonderful room with my own bathroom and a little rustic but a lot of charm. The hosts provided lovely meals for us as a large group and a wonderful chef. The wine I enjoyed and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. We were able to venture out shopping and fine dining. I highly recommend a stop here.

Where do I even begin? When my husband and I were looking at venues a little over a year ago, we were feeling a little hopeless. Nothing felt quite right. That feeling was stripped away when we saw The Vineyard at High Holly. We left our tour giggly about the fact that we both fell in love with the property and knew we had to get married there.

The cottages each have great personality, and make accommodations easy for family and wedding party members. Golf cart use makes getting around easy, even for people who may have mobility challenges. The ceremony space is absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of fire pits and gathering spots sprinkled across the property for people to get together.

The pavilion has gorgeous views of the property and can be opened up to let in a breeze, or closed to keep out any rain. This reception space has a good sized commercial kitchen in it, making it a breeze to cater. Access to the refrigerators means it is easy to keep perishables and beverages cool the whole weekend.

About 10 months after signing a venue contract, the property had new ownership. We were so nervous… Would this mean we would have to change venues? What would the new owners be like?

My husband and I left our meeting with the new owners, Lesley and Eric, relieved and even more excited about the venue. They had been all hands on deck, working to make an already beautiful property look even more like heaven. It was important to us that our wedding weekend felt like a vacation getaway for our guests staying on-site, and for ourselves. On our last day at the vineyard, my husband and I didn’t want to leave after experiencing such a hospitable stay on this beautiful property. The owners are truly great people and extremely professional and passionate about making the vineyard the perfect space for events/vacations.

Amidst some planning troubles, Lesley stepped up and worked personally with me to ensure we had everything ready to go with each vendor. She and Eric truly went above and beyond in helping plan our wedding weekend, and in actively working behind the scenes on our wedding day. Lesley’s communication skills are impeccable, which makes a huge impact when planning a wedding. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and her hospitality made the experience so calming and even fun.

My husband and I will absolutely be coming back to the vineyard for small getaways and to celebrate our anniversary next year. Lesley and Eric, we can’t thank you enough for everything and are looking forward to seeing you again soon! ❤

This is a new open to the public vineyard. They don’t have their wines ready yet, but have an amazing wine list. So friendly and a beautiful setting.

Vineyard at High Holly is one of my families favorite places to get away for a long weekend. We have stayed at the property multiple times and have never been disappointed. I look forward to booking again and can’t wait to come back to this beautiful property.

My husband and I decided to stop by while we were on our mini honeymoon! As we were the only customers, we got to enjoy a private lunch and wine tasting in a beautiful setting. The wines were great, and their chicken salad is the best chicken salad I've ever had! The owners were both extremely nice and helpful, and this was my favorite lunch stop on our trip!

Great location, beautiful scenery, cozy cottages, and pockets of peace at every corner!

Would be a great place for a wedding, yoga retreat, girls weekend, or family reunion.

I was a bridesmaid at a wedding here last weekend, and Lesley and Eric couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming to every single person in the bridal party and family. They truly made us feel at home and went above and beyond for every event over the weekend. From putting out fires, to giving us tours of the grapes that were in the wine we were tasting, they couldn’t have been more accommodating to us. I would recommend to absolutely anyone!

Stopped in with the wife and kids to check this place out. Property was beautiful and the snacks/drinks were great. Got to meet the owners who used to live one town over from where we currently live. They were extremely kind and amazing hospitality. Wish we would have got married here!

Visited the property two weeks ago. This place exceeded any expectation I had!! The views were amazing and the staff went above and beyond. Lesley and Eric the owners were very personable and made sure all our needs were met. The cottage cleanliness was immaculate and very cozy. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a venue or quiet getaway! Amazing!!

Had the loveliest weekend being part of a wedding that was held here. The venue and surrounding grounds are breathtaking and the lodging was top notch. The owners were incredible and went above and beyond to make our experience the best. Would definitely recommend!

A splendid gem on the North Carolina - Northeast Georgia border. Great venue, great ambiance and excellent staff. The live music and beautiful location are definitely worth a visit!

I just wanted to leave a quick review about my experience at the Vineyard at High Holly! I went with a group of friends and we stayed at the Farmhouse! The view was amazing and the facilities were fantastic! I really enjoyed meeting the owners Eric and Lesley! They were personable and super friendly! I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Tuscany in the Appalachian mountains!!! A gorgeous surprise that transports you to Italia as you left Georgia in the rearview and just crossed into North Carolina but that isn’t the best part. Owners and staff are on point with hospitality, food and vino. Can’t wait to go back as often as I can. Try the amazing pimento cheese dip and the fantastic chicken salad sandwich. I’m a dude and I’m bragging about those two items. Never in my life 😂. Can’t wait to stay there as well. The cottages are all beautiful with 30 acres to spread out and enjoy the mountain air.

The pictures of this vineyard do not do it justice!! This place is breathtaking. Both an incredible vacation destination and a wedding venue. I had the absolute pleasure of staying here for a wedding Memorial Day weekend. It is the ultimate mountain getaway. There is a golf course less than a mile away, fishing (catch and release) on the property, lots of walking paths, beautiful landscapes with flowers, gardens, and grape vines. The community area by the market/cottages has bocce ball/cornhole, grills, picnic tables, and a fire pit. There is ALSO ziplining, hiking, waterfalls, horseback riding, rafting, boating, fishing, golf, and tubing – all within a drive!

But the absolute best part of The Vineyard is Lesley and Eric (the owners). They are two truly special people!! They make you feel like family. I wish I could give this place 10 stars.

I can’t say enough great things about the Vineyard at High Holly! I wish I had known about it when I was getting married. The cabin we stayed in was nicer than most airbnbs, the location is unreal, and the setting was absolutely divine. Big shout out to everyone on staff who made our visit so spectacular. I can’t overstate how wonderful this venue was!

We have attended several weddings and events at The Vineyard at 37 High Holly and everyone of them have been spectacular! The grounds are amazing and you can see the thought put into keeping it in such wonderful shape. The attention to detail that the general manager, Rachel, gives to everything she does is top notch. The accommodations are very well appointed and very clean. Love that you can order wine and charcuterie to have upon your arrival! Great venue, great people, great location and close to Highlands, Cashiers and Atlanta.
