A favorite stop on our way up to Mendocino, for the perfect bites and impressive wine selection. Wendy is an amazing resource for any recommendations, so one could definitely gather some gifts for the other wine lovers in your life here. I tend to acquire something so local it's hard to find anywhere else, but that's no problem - it's just an excuse to go back!

I make a point of stopping at Disco Ranch every time I go up to Mendocino, and I'm not even a big wine drinker! I just love the place -- fabulous selection of local and international wines, and wonderful specialty food items that are well priced. On a chilly day, the outdoor fireplace or heaters will keep you nice and toasty while relaxing on the patio with a glass and tapas -- I've had the shrimp, goat cheese peppers, smoked salmon with cucumbers, dolmas, sliders, mixed nuts, and they were all great! Tell Wendy what you like, and she will find the perfect wines for you. Can't wait to be back!

Wendy is great! Very knowledgeable, not pushy or pretentious. Shop is well stocked with a variety of international and local wines along with a tasteful selections of snacks and food pairings. Patio was dog friendly with little heaters at some of the tables. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with some wine and various appetizers.

Best wine shop on Coast! Don't let the Booneville address fool you, they've got an amazing curated selection of wines, both local and imports. Check it out!

Excellent stop right after/before trekking that last bit of highway 20 before the coast! The tapas were great 👍 Wendy is a lovely human being running a top notch operation. Excellent selection of snacks and spirits, at fair prices. Definitely a new favorite!

Stopped at Disco Ranch on a whim in late January while on our way to a tasting at Roederer. One of the best decisions we've ever made. Why? 1-word: WENDY. Wendy is amazing, thoughtful, funny--abundant with her knowledge and her tastings (I lost count of how many times she poured a splash of something excellent we "just HAD to try"). This shop is the opposite of pretentious and each corner is filled with Wendy's very good judgement (the BEST tinned fish selection, the BEST 14-dollar bottle of old vine Spanish Carignan, the BEST selection of local wines and stories about the winemakers). Disco Ranch is the kind of place that makes you feel like a regular after only one visit. I hope Disco Ranch lives forever. We can't wait to stop there on out next trip to Anderson Valley (Would I move to Boonville just to hang out with Wendy? Maybe).

Great gem to stop by on your way to wine tastings in Anderson Valley, or the coast to Mendocino. Wendy is a bounty of wine knowledge. I told her the styles of wine I gravitate towards & she came out with a few sips to try. I purchased several bottles! I like the fact that she supports and sells everything from local producers who don’t have a tasting room to imports. The local wines I tried and purchased were from Lucier & Read Holland who I have not heard of prior to visiting the Disco Ranch.

For a quick bite, we had the smoked salmon tapas on Hawaiian rolls which paired nicely with a glass of white she recommended.

The Disco Ranch is a worthwhile stop whether it be for a quick potty break, or a chance to converse with Wendy who is passionate about bringing good wine to the masses! 🙂

Amazing wine at very reasonable prices. Wendy is unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable. Disco Ranch is the best! A must every time we are in Boonville.

Great outdoor atmosphere. We had great weather. We were served by the proprietor Wendy who gave us all the local lowdown about the place, the food, the wine and how the Disco Ranch got its name. (Go there and ask! It’s a good story). The food we were served was not vegan friendly, but for those omnivores in our group it was amazing. We had their hors d’œuvres style wine-pairing treats.

Amazing wine bar owned and operated by a lovely host. It’s the perfect place to stop and refuel between wine tastings on your journey down the 128!
There’s a great shady patio to enjoy home made tapas, meats, and cheeses while having a glass or a bottle from their extensive and eclectic collection!

Great wine store with glasses and delicious bites. I highly recommend stopping in to try some great local wine that does have a tasting room. Duck sliders and olives were perfect for a lite lunch. Owner is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak to. We'll definitely be back!

Very good selection of wines for purchase or to enjoy while on site. I had a great glass of pinot noir from the area and loved the roast beef sliders.

An absolute gem in the Anderson Valley. Wendy has done an incredible job curating some of the best local wines alongside some delightful imports. If you're a local looking for great values and an even better eye for selection, this will quickly become a favorite stop. If you're visiting the area, it's still worth swinging in to check out her selection (who knew you'd be coming to Anderson Valley to get a great Alsace sparkling).

The small bites are equally pleasant – and priced to let you pick and choose to your heart's content. Amazing chorizo and salumi, peruvian beans, roasted peppers, truffled potato chips, castelvetrano olives... hard to beat the selection, and it all goes perfectly with wine.

The tasting menu is unbeatable – sixteen wines by the glass when I visited, and five flights ($11-$13). A local flight, an aromatic flight, a Spanish flight, a French flight, and a flight of bubbles – hard to beat the options.

The environment is laid back and comfortable, with outdoor seating under shade and a table inside as well. Wendy is generous with her time and knowledge, and couldn't be more friendly. This is a gift to Mendocino County, and I hope everyone visits so she can continue to flourish.

Read all the older reviews to hear about how WONDERFUL is Disco Ranch. They are each truthful and correct. What I will tell you is that on top of all the wonderfulness, Disco Ranch is NOT at all pretentious is any way. You are welcome here regardless of your level of knowledge about wine. They will welcome your questions, delight in telling you about the attributes of any given wine, and they will respect your wishes when you want a wine for, say, under, $25. This place, and Wendy the owner, are true treasures.

This place is worth a substantial detour. Wendy has sourced an incredible range of wines, including a number of small batch wines that you probably won't find anywhere else. Plus, she had a 100% hit rate on picking out wines for us based on our description of preferences. There's a lovely patio for food and small glass, with a great relaxed vibe.

The wine selection was amazing. The tapas were great (we had 4 - salmon & cucumber, olives, beets, and dolmades). The owner Wendy is super knowledgeable and gave us 3 tastes of wines based on the answers to her questions. We then bought a yummy bottle and enjoyed it and the tapas outside.

When my husband and I drove by and saw the name, I shrugged my shoulders. However, after we wine tasted at a winery and the suggestion was made to visit we did. I am so glad we did. Wendy, the owner, is amazing. She is so wine knowledgeable and the small bites are delightful. She has fun cheese, crackers and other delights.

It is small but perfectly stocked with All the right wines and the woman here is amazing and he recommendations based on our personal taste were spot on.

If you are looking for a nice glass of wine poured for you by a true wine enthusiast then make sure you stop. The tapas compliment the wine nicely.
