Chester's Hamburgers

Never fails Chester's is the best place to eat burgers and wings.. Food is always fresh. The employees are amazing, friendly, and super nice. Levi and her son are so nice and always in a good mood. You can tell that the managers there are great at their job. Great managers make great employees. Keep up the good work. Oh, and they always have good music playing.

We were not happy due to situations in the day before we came here. Great service, great food, and the great atmosphere put a smile on my face and that of my wife and mom. Thank you.

You're not going to this place because of how pretty the burgers look. No, you're here because the burgers are good!

The restaurant itself is nicely adorned with license plates from all over the country. There are plenty of vintage signs used as decor as well. And you may even find old articles from defunct newspaper companies.

The claim that their burgers are the best in San Antonio is true... but what they don't tell you is that the title was earned around thirty years ago. Obviously a lot has happened since then.

Even with the stretched truth about having the best burgers in San Antonio, the burgers are indeed quite good. Well seasoned beef patty, proportionate amount of veggies and condiments, and even the bun, albeit literally smothered with poppy seeds, is light and tasty.

Definitely no longer the best burgers in town, but still remain in the competitive side of things for one of the best.

Very nice place food is very good. Service can be slow at times but they are understaffed so it's understandable.

Always an excellent burger joint in San Antonio! I stopped by while between games with my son's basketball team and we got some grub! The service was a little bit slow in this particular evening and we waited a while but we didn't have anywhere to be for a while.. The hamburger was amazing as always and the hot dog was pretty excellent as well! Seems like this place has a special old-fashioned taste to it and is highly recommended!

Amazing burger and fries, sweet tea was good. Atmosphere was cool, felt like stepping back in time, staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant. After I was done I had to have a souvenir t-shirt and let the staff know they definitely deserved the sign out front that said "voted best burger in the state". Food came out in a timely manner and the cooking area was clean and sanitary and staff worked like a well oiled machine. GOOD JOB, KEEP UP THE GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE.

This has definitely become our go to hamburger spot. We got there early enough to beat the dinner rush and being able to find decent seating. Friendly staff and super hot fresh fries hit the spot.

The burgers were very good. Loved the fries and onion rings. I recommend the chili cheese burger 😋

Burgers still incredible. The wife and I had the bacon cheeseburgers with fries and onion rings with sweet tea to wash it down with. Great service and great food with a nostalgic decor.

Burgers are still top notch, very well prepared and cooked to perfection... This time we got Double Bacon Cheeseburgers with Chili cheese fries..... Everything was perfectly done. Always a great experience dining here.

So delicious. Made to order! Fresh fries, burgers and ice cream!! Definitely budget friendly and picky eater friendly!! They have something for everyone. Super clean and nice. Burgers were enormous and cheaper than mcdys!

Burger was good. The hamburger patty was pretty thin, though. Will be going for a double next time. My strawberry malt was great. My son loved his burger.

In mixed company, there are 3 things you never discuss: politics, religion, and which fast food burger chain is the best. Chester's Hamburgers was a welcome sight as I rolled into SA after 20 years away. It is truly a fantastic burger. A great seasoned, generous, well cooked patty, fantastic toppings, crispy, savory bacon, and a bun whose size matches the patty...huge. The fries are large, well cooked, and perfectly seasoned. Everything from Chester's is masterful. If there is no Chester's in Heaven, I may think twice about entering. And, if Republicans and Democrats ate at Chester's, I do believe our government would work together more often. And, when it comes to burger chains...Whataburger, Five Guys, AND In-And-Out are all vying for second place in the burger wars. Chester's makes it a no-contest. Chester's us THE best burger I've ever had, and I've eaten burgers in 46 out of the 50 states. Truly, a must-eat-at when you're in SA. Wow...

The food is always good at Chester's. My one & only complaint is the black sesame seeds. I'm not a fan. It appears they are now coating top & bottom in them, or at least my bun was yesterday. I will be flossing those buggers out for days!! Other than that, our burgers were good.

Have not been to Chesters in several years and Finally got the chance to get a Chili Cheeseburger with Onion Rings/Fries and they are still Delicious. Chesters at this location is always great and very kind. Great Beer Choice as well 🍻

If you've never been, do yourself a solid and enjoy a homemade cheeseburger, real fries, and the best shakes. The burgers are ginormous and are so full of flavor - if I could cook a burger this delicious I'd never leave my home. The service is great and you can tell it's popular as it's always busy. Skip the fast food and support your local businesses!

Chesters on Pat Booker is the bomb for burgers. They never disappoint. Burgers are huge so if your a lite eater, you will have leftovers 😉 We had a cheese burger, a chili cheese burger fries and chocolate malt. Hit em up, you can also call in an order ahead of time like we did and go pick it up. Worth the $'s

Great burgers and the poppy seed buns are so soft and delicious!! It's definitely my favorite burger place!!

For 30+ years this has been my favorite burger place anywhere. Food quality, customer service, overall vibe here is still the same as I remember when I was a kid. Keep up the great work!! The very best.

The food and service were great! I had a grilled chicken sandwich with grilled onions and fries. My husband and I split an order of onion rings also. All of it was delicious! I really enjoyed the atmosphere while sitting on the patio to eat. You feel as if you're outside, but you kind of aren't. The large windows and breeze were so nice.

The food was amazing. The onion rings fried to perfection. The fries are too soft for my liking and could use more seasoning, tbh. Make sure you come hungry because the portions are large.
