River Street Sweets

I stopped in to see what sweets they had, and had observed that the ice cream is homemade. After seeing that, I just had to give them a try. So glad I did!!

I ordered a sugar cone, and just had to try a couple of their favorites, so I went with a scoop of banana pudding, as well as a scoop of the praline ice cream. Honestly, I just couldn't decide which one I liked the most. They were both delicious. The banana pudding had a perfect flavor, and the praline taste much better than I had expected.

Definitely worth a visit! They also had a wide selection of candies, fudge, pralines, and many things covered in chocolate

We were big fans of the Broadway at the Beach location, we hated to see it close. We finally made the trip over to Barefoot Landing to get some original pralines. We always look forward to the free sample when we walk in, we used to buy Creamsicle fudge but was informed they aren’t allowed to make their own fudge anymore. That it gets shipped from the Savannah location, very disappointing because it was always fresh. TJ and her coworker were rockstars and went out of their ways to take great care of us. It was a great visit as usual.

I used to always get fresh fudge as a child when I came to Myrtle Beach. We spotted River Street Sweets at Barefoot Landing and could smell the pralines from outside the store, so we made a quick stop to get some fudge. We were offered a free sample of their praline by Bonnie W. who was incredibly funny, helpful, and kind. Bonnie answered every question we had and was delighted to sell us some Peanut Butter fudge (in between jokes, of course). The fudge definitely brought back childhood memories and was amazing. Thank you for your help (and humor!) Bonnie; we will bring back the tradition of stopping for fudge at this store from here on out!!!

Love their pralines! They have four more flavors than last time I was there a couple of years ago.

We stop in whenever we’re in the area. The pralines are delicious, chocolates too. They have an excellent selection of gummy candies. The crown jewel of this place is its staff. They are knowledgeable of their products and the area. They treat you like they’ve known you for years - even if it’s your first time in the store. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Awesome! What a treat to stop here. All types of Candy’s and Chocolate to choose from. I’m hooked can’t wait to go back again.

I walked into this shop thinking maybe I would buy one thing, and ended up with a box and a bag.

The staff were friendly from the moment I walked in the door. Both of the staff working were making fresh pralines that they promptly asked me if I wanted to sample. They were fantastic. Then, one staffer walked with me to every display case and offered me a sample of anything I'd like, pralines, bear claws, fudge. All of them were excellent.

I ended up getting a box full of pralines and bear claws of all different kinds, the staff being very flexible with the promotional buy a pound get a pound, allowing me to have some of the more expensive items at the same price. I was a huge fan of their maple pralines and my favorite bear claw was the salted caramel. I also got a small block of the salted caramel fudge

They have specials that run year round, and honor coupons you can get from the hotels. My coupon got me 15 free pieces of salt water taffy, and the staff let me pick my flavors.

Every time we are in Myrtle Beach we always stop here for the pralines. The store has a nice variety of chocolates and candy and the staff is always helpful.

Update: 7/24/23 - Was on vacation last week and stopped by again. Same excellent service and the chocolates and pralines are still top notch!

Great!! We had ice cream love how the really small cups are hidden behind sign so when you order you think you are getting a bigger cup. But, thankfully the employee really stuffed that little cup with alot of icecream. Very Good!!

Some of the best fudge and pralines you will ever put in your mouth! I've been going to this place for many years and have always been pleased with the quality of the food and the service I received. I'll be going there for many years to come.

My dentist loves that I love this place!! Just kidding. But wow I could spend time here sampling all the delicious goodies.we always make sure to stop by while at Barefoot Landing. Nice to take a little sweetness home to share with friends. Ok, I just lied. I eat it all.

We usually visit Myrtle Beach in the off-season (just before spring break). There aren't a lot of people so places like River Street Sweets want you to come and try free samples. We tried the chocolate praline sample (I think). Delicious. We bought some. I tried their cinnamon pecans. Not so delicious, but I appreciated them opening a bag so that I could taste one before I bought a whole bag. Great service. Thank you!

They say they gave the world's best pralines. Well I challenged them today. I haven't been around the world but I have had the best from New Orleans. The chocolate ones are my favorite and not many stores have them. They normally only have the plain ones. Well y'all met the challenge to compare to New Orleans. So I would give you the 5 stars and 2 👍👍 great job.

The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. I don't usually care for pralines, but theirs are delicious. After a free sample, I purchased some and I love them!
I would highly recommend trying this place.

If you are looking for something to satisfy that sweet tooth, look no further. This place has a decent selection of candies and chocolates to choose from! Personally, I believe the pralines are the best thing in the shop. Stop by and grab a free sample and see for yourself!
