Most delicious brunch I had for a long time. I did not have too much expectations, however, it was highly recommended I am glad that ended up at this place because there are so many outside places coming up from the south that I was very tempted to pick a place with an outside seating. Reminded me for the New Jersey old school Spanish dinners. It was so tasty, and hitting the spot for me that is hard to put it to words. Coffee con Leche was nicely sweetened the way I like it and the classic Cuban sandwich was juicy inside and not like some other times when it is dried out. The service was very fast even though a constant flow of people come in to order and take out. Highly recommended!

Loved this spot, delicious Cuban food and friendly, attentive servers. Everything had so much flavour, even the plain rice was really tasty. Would highly recommend for authentic, reasonably priced food. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Thank you Playa Cafe!

Stumbled upon this place looking for flan and boy let me tell you it did not disappoint! There’s so many flavors, I ended up getting plain and guava, both were so delicious and very cheap. Highly recommend!

Love this place! My boyfriend and I went here almost every morning for breakfast while on vacation. The pupusas are amazing!

My husband and I were in town 11 years ago and this became our breakfast spot. 11 years later and the food and service is just as good. Highly recommend.

An extremely busy small Cuban joint in the middle of Miami beach. Very close to the beach as well. Food was amazing. Portion sizes are huge. The servers were super nice!

A perfect medianoche (midnight sandwich)! Stuffed full and pressed with great flavor. I split the medianoche and the Cuban but i prefer the medianoche myself. It's a bit richer because of the sweetness and butteriness of the bread so maybe it's a lot to eat the whole one for some people. Maduros also done well, and I tried the tamale which was huge and had thick chunks of meat inside. Their hot sauce is also really tasty.

For dessert I tried both the caramel cake and the tres leches. Tres leches was pretty standard, but solid and the caramel cake was basically yellow cake with dulce de leche icing which is simple but tasty.

Service is fast, sandwiches are made to order and prices are reasonable especially considering the area. Seating is quite limited but we went at an off time (3ish ) and were able to sit 8 at the counter. Will definitely be back when I'm back in town.

This was our first cuban meal, so I'm not sure how it should taste but it was delicious. I ate a Cuban sandwich (I had Cuban sandwiches before but in American restaurants), which was a good sandwich (the bread was a bit dry though). My husband had a ceibeño de carne asada and he was amazed how good it was, he loved it. We also had a pineapple empanada, it was ok, a bit dry for my taste, but it tasted good. I definitely recommend this place!

Sweet cuban ladies make you feel like your family early in the morning. Amazing iced coffee, orange juice and stuffed plantains. The Cuban sandwich is good too

Playa Cafe is a fantastic local Cuban restaurant in South Beach Miami that I can't recommend enough. The Cuban sandwich here is truly one of the best I've ever had. It's packed with flavor and authenticity.

The tamale was not only incredible but also quite substantial. Don't miss out on the tostones and empanadas; they are equally delightful. What sets Playa Cafe apart is its genuine, local atmosphere. It's a refreshing change from the typical tourist traps.

If you're looking for an authentic Cuban dining experience in South Beach, Playa Cafe is the place to be. I can't wait to return.

Ordered two Cuban sandwich trios and had more than enough food to feed a family of four. The sandwich was excellent with a perfect ratio of meat to bread. This was so much better than a Philly cheesesteak from Pat's King of Steaks in Philadelphia. Would recommend this place outright.

Authentic, freshly made cuban food! Great vibe, delicious food. 100% recommendation. The restaurant doesn't look great from outside, but the food and prices are definitely a big thumbs up!

Small spot with counter seating. numbered pictured menu with a ton of options, fresh OJ. Fairly inexpensive. Charming service from the ladies at the counter - enjoyed the low key visit and would come back to escape some of the more commercialized restaurants in the area...

My man and u i came several times to this restaurant. They did an excellent job on the food and the portion size is great. They also have micheladas which were good. The restaurant can be a little tight with seating, but their food makes up for that. Definitely recommend coming to this place if you’re in Miami. They have a great selection on food. Also heads up if you dine in there’s a 15% service charge. Will be back!

Delicious Cuban food, very affordable in a place like Miami Beach. It's a very small, non-descript place but well worth visiting. Order the cafe con leche and flan to end your meal - perfection!
