Garden Center at The Home Depot

Within the same visit I was assisted by both Lauren and Carol at the Garden Center check out. Both very kind very easy to talk to and finally most importantly very helpful. I had a large order of assorted mum plants and was offered assistance in carrying the products to my car but I shared with them that I would be fine. I very much appreciated that extra offering of help. Finally I should mention that the selection of mums and assorted fall plants was simply wonderful.

We have always had good experiences with this HD location, especially the ladies and team in the Garden Center.

While most Home depots are mediocre at best, this one pales in comparison. Selection of key home improvement items are often out of stock or up high needing a fork lift to retrieve them. Being a professional I know what I want, how I want and where to look so I don't usually need customer assistance but when I do it's funny how uninformed they are. I find HD concentrates heavily on selling holiday decorations months before the holiday. Now, I see a weird combination of Halloween decorations( lots and lots) with slashed prices as they haven't sold and piles of Christmas decorations taking up a high percentage of floor and shelf space. Today I wanted lawn soil...the rack where the soil usually sits and most of the garden department was empty. I asked the associate where it was and his response was "we're all out of brown bagged"...I repeated "Lawn Soil"...he said "that's what I said, we're out of Brown bagged" I shook my head and put my shopping cart high up on a shelf with some plants...just to add to the crazy HD day :)
