This is a great place to go for a nice lunch or supper. The food was really good and the staff was really nice and friendly. Being that it's right on the square the small town vibe, and restaurants atmosphere makes a great atmosphere. I totally recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. The only downside might be that it's a little pricey, but you get good food and a good portion. So give this place a try!!

Good ribs. Good beer. Good catfish. They put lots of pulled pork in their baked beans. Nice comfortable place to enjoy dinner with friends.

Wow! Wasn’t expecting this in Bolivar, drove down from Jackson to have dinner with family and this is definitely a place I will returning to. The atmosphere was great, the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our meal.
The fried catfish was superb, not greasy and perfectly flaky inside. Hush puppies were divine, and the twice baked potato was very good as well. Started off with the spinach artichoke dip and it didn’t disappoint. The shrimp broil was also very good. Loved the salad bar too! Finished with pecan pie and apple dumplings perfect ending.

Simon's Fish Camp & Grill Sunday brunch was a great treat this morning. We were greeted and welcomed with big smiles and seated right away. The dining area was very nice and cozy. The bar area looked equally as nice also. We started with fresh salad greens and loads of fresh add ins from the salad bar. The chilled bowls were perfect! Next we went for the main event, the food bar. Crispy fried chicken, seafood jambalaya, slow roasted, hand carved sirloin and tri- tip, assorted vegetables and of course your breakfast favorites. My favorite vegetable choice was the sautéed squash, zucchini and onions. Cooked and seasoned to perfection but that sirloin won the show! Chef Rich, who was hand carving the meat, did it up right. It the most tender and well seasoned sirloin roast I’ve ever eaten. As an added bonus he was very polite and answered lots of questions.

Bolivar has a new BEST restaurant option! We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality food for lunch! Crispy calamari was amazing. Double cut pork chop was grilled to perfection. The wedge salad is huge! We highly recommend Simon’s for your Bolivar dining experience.

1st class place, especially for a small town. Great service, atmosphere, linen napkins, beautiful building and more importantly fantastic food. The strawberry, spinach and chicken salad with raspberry balsamic dressing was fabulous!! Also the appetizers are great.

A little disappointing tonight. The salad bar which is usually very good, not good tonight. The lettuce was wilted, brown and didn't look appetizing at all. My wife and I both ordered a sandwich, mine was a mushroom cheese burger, you had to search high and low to find the mushrooms. Maybe only a teaspoon of mushrooms. The patti melt was just as bad for the significant lack of grilled onions. When it was all said and done, the total bill was just at $48.00. That's a lot for 2 sandwiches, a salad and an ice tea. FYI,we did have very good service

My wife and I came here for the second time but for brunch instead of lunch this time and oh, my! We ordered from the brunch menu and everything was absolutely amazing! And the wait staff is so professional! We are sending our teens here for their date because we are sure they will love it as much as we do. This is a total gem!

Brought the wife out for her birthday. It was close to closing but they gladly took us in. The ribeye is definitely worth going back for. Very nice and clean

Upscale (especially for the area), but not pretentious.
Obviously a chef in back of house not a cook.
Rolling Stones, Temptations on in the background.
Polite, professional wait staff.
A real surprise for the area.
Bounced around the menu and everything we tried was outstanding.

The brisket was tender ans smoked to perfection but it needed seasoning and it, the sautéed mushrooms and broccoli were not hot, barely lukewarm. Food needs to be piping hot when it comes to the table at least I want my food hot. I didn't send it back. The next time I come I will tell the waitress to make sure my food is HOT. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, decent food selection, buy for a small town like Bolivar the prices on some items could be a bit lower.

This is my third time visiting. Our waitresses Najja was GREAT. She was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. She recommended the brisket and she was spot on. It's super tender and delicious. The chicken( had the sandwich) breast was dry, but chicken breast is normally that way; it takes a bit of twicking to get it really tender. I still think the entrees are a bit pricey, but this is the nicest place to eat in Bolivar and this town needs it. Suggestions: seafood buffer on Friday night, Barbeque on Saturday and home cooked dinner on Sunday like you used to do.

Visited for the second time and it was a different experience. The salad bar was good, sautéed mushrooms were too, but the side dish of broccoli was cold and the order of half chicken was dry and old. It tasted like a dry two day left over roisstessire chicken from Walmart. I was disappointed but did not complain. I started to order the chicken wings but four for the price is ridiculous. It is Bolivar, a small town, and higher prices probably are charged in order to make a profit. I will possibly return when I am in town because there aren't any other decent or desirable options other than the regular fast food restaurants. I will stick to the salad bar and maybe side order or sandwich. This is a nice place, the decor and atmosphere, but the prices are too high and professional cooks should be cooking.

I am a native of Bolivar and it's great to have a nice restaurant as Simon's in my hometown.
On yesterday, 10/16, a family member, who has been to the restaurant a couple of times, and I had brunch/lunch to celebrate my birthday.
I love the atmosphere, decor, the gentleman playing the keyboard was a nice touch, and the food was good and worth the price.
I met the owner and general manager, and will be returning.
It was an A+ experience. It was a nice way to celebrate my special day.

Omgoodness!!! Service- food- atmosphere. 5 stars. Will be a repeat customer. We has ribeye that was as close to my husbamds as you can get out. Sooo good. Fried shrimp was a- mazing. Veggies were all good as well. If you enjoy an adult beverage with a night out see Stacy. Tell her Cheryl and David sent ya.
