The owners of this shop are a lovely married couple that are extremely knowledgeable about their products. They have a great selection of knives and other household items. We've bought knives, dinnerware sets, and kitchen gadgets here, all of which were great quality. They've also got a good rewards program.

WOW! Amazing store and staff. I went in looking for a my first everyday use chefs knife already knowing a little bit about the knife world. Everyone there, especially Tanisha did an amazing job of showing me different options in various styles, prices etc. She was just a huge wealth of information, I was expecting to just try a few knives but left with 10x the knowledge before and a much better idea of what I wanted. Tanisha's love for knifes definitely shows.

They also offer knife sharpening classes(ask via phone/in person) which I am definitely taking advantage of once I get my knife.

Although I did not shop for other items, they had wide array of various other kitchen items plus an extensive online store.

Really cute items in this shop, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I came in looking to make gift baskets for a professional event, and Leslie took so much time and effort to help me find the perfect items, catering to the recipients age groups and interests as well as my budget. Thanks!!

The place to go if you want to buy a knife, or anything you'd need in a kitchen. Super nice staff, good selection, great location.

I went to Blackstones today to get a special knife repaired - one which I thought was beyond fixing. Not only was the knife repaired by Jim (image below), the entire experience in Blackstones was first class.
Jennifer Hill and her team are gem in the city of Boston…we will be back for sure.

Highly recommended

The staff are always ultra friendly, knife sharpening is a deal for the professional job they do, and a fun place to browse even if you aren't in the market for kitchen items.

I visited earlier this week because I wanted to buy my significant other a knife set but I have a severe lack of knowledge of what’s best. The staff was knowledgeable about durability, features, and Style. Tanisha gave me a wealth of information and I left feeling confident and informed that I had bought the best! My significant other has been absolutely blown away by the style and functionality of the knifes. If anyone is looking to bring a little bit of ease and comfort to the kitchen experience in your home I cannot recommend Kitchen Wares enough!

I love this place. Like everyone said, they really know their knives and are happy to answer any questions you have about them. Used their knife sharpening service and the knives came out great. Cutting meat the next day with them was blissfully easy. The shop is small, but cute with many tools needed for the kitchen. Highly recommend checking it out if you like to cook.

I arrived quite late on a Saturday- within 30 minutes of their closing time. I’d called earlier that afternoon to inquire, and the proprietor said they even try to sharpen knives the same day, especially if there is just one knife. I arrived so late that I wasn’t expecting any such service… but the proprietor did not complain a whit- he only very graciously took my knife to sharpen (for a reasonable price), then wrapped it in a cardboard sheaf for greater safety on my trip home.

While there at the shop, I took the opportunity to purchase a second paring knife (for friends to use, since they sometimes offer to help prepare a meal while visiting). And then Blackstone’s proprietors gave me some suggestions of where I might like to celebrate my unexpectedly productive and pleasant late afternoon with a dinner out (which is likewise lovely, btw!).

I would just want to correct any listing online that states Blackstone’s offers classes: They apparently haven’t for the past year or so, due to COVID concerns, I learned today, and the proprietor said they don’t have a kitchen on the premises. So that info just needs to be corrected (at least, for mid-summer 2022).

Oh my goodness- everyone at Blackstone’s is wonderful and they have such fun and beautiful things. I went in yesterday while pushing a stroller and they went out of their way to help me while I picked up a few gifts. Always love stopping in here!

This is a very friendly place to shop and get your kitchen knives sharpened. I have been there many times. Today I was in to leave a couple of knives and also was able to buy THE perfect pitcher to make a sangria!

Wow - I wish I could give KitchenWares 10 stars! My partner and I went in today expecting to just drop off a knife for sharpening and grab few odds and ends. Tanisha ended up teaching us everything we would ever need to know about knives! We ended up getting a new knife guided by her expertise. We will definitely be attending her sharpening class ASAP. She was the best!

Great store for anything related to the kitchen world.
The perfect place if you are looking for gifts ideas, from knives (huge selection there), to pans, cocktail kits, candles or recipe books.
And it is open on Sundays! A gem in the middle of Boston.

Fantastic, knowledgeable staff and a huge selection of everyday and specialty items. If by some chance they don't have it, they'll help you track it down. Knife sharpening service is particularly helpful, as they helped bring back to life and old, dull knife block set.

KitchenWares is a great resource. It's located in one of Boston's most expensive shopping streets, usually not a place to look for deals. But KitchenWares is perfectly stocked with items of all prices. I went in looking for a soup ladle, and the manager showed me a nice strong one for $20. That's kind of expensive for a soup ladle (though I'm sure it would last you forever)! He then showed me a great collection of sizes, all for around $5. That's more of my price! I poked around the shop and was able to snag all sorts of things…a squirt bottle (for syrup or oils?) for $1.50, a set of beautiful measuring spoons (pricier at $15, but strong stainless steel with engraved numbers), and an offset spatula ($6, for all your frosting needs).

I could have spent a million more dollars, but thought my fiancé might be mad. The store is beautiful, not too cramped, and stocked to the ceilings with all sorts of ktichenwares. I'll be back to look at their gorgeous collection of chefs knives!

Knife Sharpening Class: Tanisha was really helpful in stone sharpening techniques for both German and Japanese knives - the process once learned is actually pretty simple but good to have someone work through with you. Additionally Tanisha provided insights into different types of knives and best practices for use. I enjoyed the individual class a lot and as a bonus they sharpen your existing knives. Totally worth the time. Thx for positive experience Tanisha. I will be back!

The owners of the store were very friendly and helpful! I brought in a knife that had a chip in the blade and they were able to sharpen and repair the blade within minutes. Great customer service!
