Beans Cat Cafe

I’ve always been wary of cafes that use animals as an attraction like the ones in Thailand but this Cafe treats the cute kitties with respect. Their main goal is to find people to adopt the cats. They have strict rules about engaging the cats like no picking them up and no handling of the cats. You can play with the cats using the toys they have provided. It’s a great establishment that is looking out for the well-being of the abandoned cats. You can choose to book a 30 minute or an hour slot into the lounge.

Had a fabulous time visiting with some most-precious kitties who are lucky enough to call Beans home, if only temporarily. Adoptable cats chilling in roomy and bright space with seating, toys and a 25¢ treat dispenser to persuade maximum interaction. Coffee and treats available as well as knick knacks including mugs, shirts, plushies, pins and bags. Very friendly staff and laid back vibe. Can't wait to go back!

Visited New Paltz after some time and was so ecstatic to find that they had opened up a cat café — I wish they had it when I was a student at SUNY, I would definitely have been there all the time! I adored spending time with the cats. Staff seem to really care about them. Love the lavender latte! There was a cute mural in the café section, alongside some cute cat merchandise. I came back another day to participate in cat yoga which was such a fun, yet therapeutic experience (thank you to Victoria from Stellar Yoga!). Thanks for making my little day trips to New Paltz memorable, and thanks for caring for the cats! 🐾♡

Lovely place for coffee, snack and some cuddles. The barista was very friendly and made a delicious chai. Wonderful way to spend an hour, highly recommend. Though be aware that they charge to spend time in the car room, $7.50 for 30 min & 12.50 for 60 min.

A cute little cat cafe with lots of adorable cats! All the cats were wonderful but Lil Jon the orange cat is especially a heart throb. The cat sessions need to be reserved in advance (which you can do in person) and you can set up 30 minute or 60 minute sessions.

Super cute! Everyone was so nice there and the cats were adorable. Very reasonable prices for drinks and to sit with the cats. All of them were approachable and comfortable around people. You can buy treats for the cats (bring quarters!) and they had many toys and climbing areas for them. Will definitely be returning!

When I heard a cat cafe would be opening in New Paltz I was so excited, and this place doesn't disappoint! The cats have such great personalities, and spending a morning or afternoon with them is a great break from the grind. The food and drinks are tasty and the staff has been wonderful every time I've gone. They've also got adorable merchandise up front if you're looking for gifts!

Went for the cats more than the food. Got a muffin, lots of chips! Kitty cats so cute!!! Some were resting, some playful. Nice cat cafe. Spacious. Would recommend and return.

What a wonderful spot this is!
The environment is lovely and relaxing, for both kitties and humans.
My tea was delicious and the company of the kitties was delightful.
Can't wait to visit again!

Super cute spot. Been to both this one and the one in beacon. This one is more spacious which is nice. Love that you can get a cup of coffee for $2. Cats are cute. Great thing to do on a rainy day!

Did not have the food, but played and hung out with the cats in the cat room for an hour. Really great staff and cute cats. Applied to adopt 2 of them and heard back the next day. Whether you're looking for a furry friend or just to visit and get a coffee, it's a great place to go.

Went there for their late night study hours and couldn’t be more happy with my experience. The staff is extremely friendly and the kitties are so sweet. Definitely the best study spot in town!

If I didn't already have a couple of cats at home, I would have totally paid to enter the cat room (cafe area and cat room are divided by a glass wall)... And even then, I did consider it.

Coffee was delicious, cats were adorable and a great set of rules is in place to ensure the comfort of the kitty residents. Highly recommend!

This cafe was great. It was my first time going to a cat cafe and it was a wonderful experience.
