My son works for a post office and I see another side. It is a really demanding job. They often have mandatory overtime, sometimes delivering 12 hours a day. I am much more patient now that I understand what they go through. I hope this will help others be kind and patient with all postal workers.

I had a package that was incorrectly sent to this post office due to errors by the sender and the Sacramento distribution center. I called the Atwater post office several times when the online tracker said it had been sent there again and someone always answered the phone. Branden was especially helpful in finding out what happened and explaining how the staff covered the incorrect bar code so it would be sent to the correct address. Even though none of this mess was their fault, they worked really hard to fix the problem. Exceeded expectations!

Despite the negative reviews, all of the employees were extremely helpful in aiding us! I had to ship five 24x18x24 boxes and a couple other shaped boxes. The employees sprung into action and helped weigh, measure, and expedite the process. We were in and out with around 200 pounds worth of items in about 25 minutes.

Friendly and courteous service. Went around noon on a Friday and was in and out in under 10 minutes.

This post office is a very professional and the clerks are very nice. Have used their service for over 12 years and am very pleased with he service.

The staff here is very friendly and always quick so you don't have to stand in line very long.

Friendly staff get things done in a professional orderly manner.

My biggest complaint is the small parking area and only 2 handicap parkings.

A driver had a mild accident that took out a well belonging to my friend. He came to the door and was extremely polite and apologetic, even bringing water to get us through until the repairs are completed. The circumstances are regrettable but the interaction was excellent. Thanks to the driver.

Service has been good

good post office, shipped 6 packages however one box was invalid so i had to change it. A woman gave me a box and made me buy tape. I needed one piece of tape and they couldn't provide. The worker Juan is always friendly.

I am not from Atwater, CA but when I travel there on a few occasions I had to drop off a package and the outside mail box was so full you could easily steal the mail. I was shocked, and it was not a holiday, so why would that have happened. However on other times going into the Post Office was totally fine, super small office.
