Tostones Café

I was visiting family in New Hampshire and on my last day we were doing touristy things on the way to the airport. We stopped by this cafe for lunch and we're blown away by how tasty everything was. The waiter gave us great recommendations. We got an appetizer to share and we each ordered arepas.

The atmosphere of the cafe also had fun vibes. I would definitely go back and try more of their menu.

Me Encanta ! I am a gringo that loves Colombia 🇨🇴 and Medellin. I felt like I was in Pablado 😁. The food is deliciouso and the service very friendly and warm hearted. Perfect on a cold evening in Cape Elizabeth Maine.

Wow! On the road for work, got hungry and decided to pull in without knowing exactly what we were stepping into! Blown away with flavor and delicious drinks! Empanadas a must (we got all four) the Arepas Wok with sirloin and the arepa desmechada! So good! MUST TRY place

Was a little hesitant to try this place, but I was pleasantly surprised. We stopped in for dinner one night and the servers were lovely, the food was fresh, and the experience was all around positive. The bowl I got was loaded with veggies, super fresh, and so flavorful! They were happy to accommodate my allergy requests. It’s become one of my favorite spots for take out, though eating in was also a lovely experience.

Amazing! I got the churros, campesino, and the vegan arepas. The campesino was a lovely spiced coffee. I’ve been recreating it at home after trying it since it was so good! The vegan arepas were delicious. They were seasoned beautifully and were very filling. The churros were the perfect end to the meal. Nice and sweet and came with delicious dipping sauces. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and I can’t wait to stop back in and grab a drink at the bar.

My husband and I enjoyed this find. We were in the area and was looking for lunch. Something light and not fried. I had one of the bowls minus the egg and my husband had the taco trio. Both amazing. Meat very tender and seasoned perfectly. My husband pork taco was really good crispy but not over done. Definitely recommend if ur in the area.

I’m from Los Angeles. I did NOT expect to find a quality place like this tucked away, nowhere near the city center. Off the beaten path and the Arepas were amazing and authentic. The tostones were crispy. The tropical fruit smoothies were great. This was such a quality find!!!

You can tell this cafe is well loved by how much attention to detail they give to every dish and decoration.

Not sure what to get? The empanadas are to die for! I was also impressed by how much juice they give you too.

Overall, you can tell this cafe loves and cares for its customers and wants you to feel welcome. Even the plants are real, healthy, and happy too.

If you’re looking for a phenomenal dining experience, look no further than Tostones. Their menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering incredible dishes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. Best in town, recommend 100%.

Arepas tropical were filling and delicious! Sauce is a must. Yucca fries with both sauces is amazing and I love how bite sized they are; great for sharing. Oblea is a must have! If you get to-go be sure to get the ice cream to the fridge ASAP! Super delicious, a must if you like caramel. Not to mention how bright and welcoming the atmosphere and staff are ❤

Amazing place! Incredible food and you can tell it’s authentic Latin food! The service was great! We will go out of our way to go back again!

Felt like we were in Latin America- music, ambiance and food all hit the spot. Our waitress was so friendly and courteous- and had great recommendations. It was our first time there but we’re probably going to become regulars- wish we had room for desert because the churros looked amazing. 12 out of 10- highly recommend

The food was incredible and that was such a surprise. We had dinner there on a Friday evening. The service was fantastic, portion sizes were good and the presentation was quite unique. It's worth a visit as it's near the lighthouse.

I could barely take a pic because this was so delicious! A lot of places have popped up in Maine selling arepas, and this is one not to be missed! Excellent flavors, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portion size was just right and for under $14, it feels like a steal. It is a lovely space with lots of fun looking smoothies, juices and cocktails that I'm excited to go back and try. If you find yourself close to Cape, go check this place out.

Absolutely phenomenal food, drinks, and service! Best margaritas around. Food is consistently delicious. Great for those with dietary restrictions (e.g., vegan, gluten free, vegetarian, etc.). Highly recommended!

I saw the 5 stars and didn't believe it....I tried this place out, and it was every bit of 5 stars. The food is excellent. They have it going on!

amazing food, quick service and reasonably priced. you don’t need to drive into portland to have great authentic food. i’ve tried every latin food place on and off the peninsula and this place got them beat for sure. the yuka fries were perfectly cooked and i’m super picky about the texture lol. large portions for everything. the arepas tropical is FANTASTIC! the tostones vegano is amazing and filling. the vegetables burrito is very good and flavorful. highly recommend this local business. would have taken pictures but we ate everything so fast and left no scraps

One of the best lunches I've had in a long time. My wife has been raving about this place for months and I finally got to try it today.... WOW I HAVE BEEN MISSING OUT! Awesome selection of different dishes, there's something for everyone. I had the Cinco De Mayo tostone plate and it was so delicious. Fresh ingredients, savory carne, and a perfectly cooked tostone base. It was a big portion too, had to take the rest home. The cafe is wonderfully decorated as well and the staff are incredibly friendly. Easily the most satisfying meal I've had for a while, it left me in a great mood for my return to work. cant wait to go back and try some other options, thank you for a great lunch!

My wife and I Took a weekend trip to Maine and no matter where we go we find a Colombian restaurant 🤣 this one was a Gem.

Our waiter Luis was extremely welcoming and his service superb. The food is Delicious, it’s a celebration of all Latin food. We had the toston app And it was a meal itself lol.

The arepa with shrimp and steak was not only one of the best Venezuelan arepas I’ve ever had but one of the best dishes I’ve ever had.
