East of Chicago Pizza

Have been a different time and did the pizza buffet and wasn't overly impressed with options, food was kinda dry. But most recently made a carryout order and a fresh made pizza from here is exceptional. We will be returning customers. Pictured are parm pops and the chicken bacon ranch pizza with stuffed crust. My husband really liked the marinara, and the cheese sauce was good too.

To start. The lady on the phone was very knowledgeable. She knew the menu and prices without missing a beat. The food was ready and fantastic. Hot and fresh. The crust was very well made. And the sauce was incredible. Great job. I'm hype about a good pizza place!

Great little hidden gem ...smaller buffet , but they keep the pizzas coming and will even make what ya want for the buffet...great people great pizza, we go quite often for lunch ...check them out...

The best deep dish pizza our family has ever tried. We visited here when we were staying in Shipshewana and it is now a family favorite. The deep dish pizza is so good and the garlic cheese bread is amazing! We also love the Parm pops with marinara sauce. The prices are very reasonable and everything is always fresh. They also have a buffet but we were not there when it was running. If you go at lunchtime, they have the perfect size personal pizzas called flash pan pizza. Highly recommended! If we lived closer, this would be our go to pizza place!

We enjoyed the buffet. It was a reasonable price and you could enjoy pop at a very low price compared to most establishments. The lettuce and salad toppings were fresh. The pizza was good. The dessert pizza was amazing! The staff kept a close eye on the buffet as the crowd increased for the supper rush. Our empty plates were promptly removed as we finished. This is a family friendly atmosphere and would work well if dining alone.

Delicious thin crust large veggie pizza! It was Sunday and we arrived late at our hotel and needed dinner — most places were closed but East of Chicago Pizza was thankfully open. We phoned in our order and they delivered it in about 40 min. Yay! Warm pizza with just the perfect amount of tomatoes, bell peppers, green and black olives, mushrooms, sauce, and cheese and delicious crust. Thank you, East of Chicago Pizza. Definitely recommend! ☺

We’ve been here many years ago and it’s still decent. Growing up in the Chicago area, we now what we like in pizzas. They are close and yummy.
We went for dinner but arrived a half hour before the buffet started. They says they’d start it early. While pizzas were cooking we enjoyed the salad bar. There are puddings and fruit too. They had a apple cobbler pizza and another dessert one. Sub sandwiches cut thinner for the buffet and 5 or so different pizzas. Pepsi products. Great food and pleasant workers.

East of Chicago Pizza has a delicious, crispy, fluffy pan crust that is absolutely top rate! Their taco pizza is a mountain (as pictured below), and they have a fine salad bar as well as a lunch buffet every day! Their prices are a bit higher than the chain pizzerias, but the exceptional quality is totally worth it!

Amazingly great tasting food! Pizza, that we consumed and was wanting more. Steak subs that melted in your mouth. Wings, spiced just right. Food was well prepared and the delivery team were kind and prompt and brought plates.

We were staying at the Shipshewana Campground and wanted something to eat close by and looked this place up! The pizza was delicious and very filling!
I also accidentally left my purse and the workers chased us back to our Campground to tell me I left it. I'm so grateful that they did because we were leaving out in the morning and I probably wouldn't have noticed it till then and they would've been closed! So this place gets my vote!!!

Try the Chicago style pizza! A medium is more than enough food for two adults.

We went or a hoilday extended week end (hoilday) is what England and Canada says for a get away! And found this Pizza place.

Found out that they have Buffets also 7 days a week (11A - 1:30PM and 5P - 8:00 PM) specials are Subs & Pizza neat we missed it Sunday, but will stop back.

Shipshewana is in 2nd largest Amish area in the States - "So nothing is open on Sunday", but a few like this place.

We are from the Chicago area and this pizza was delicious and greatly impressed us. The pan crust and ingredients were cooked perfectly and the taste was amazing. This is a little hidden gem. Kudos to this restaurant and staff.

Pros. The gentleman on the phone was very polite and made sure he got everything I asked for. He was very well spoken and made ordering an ease since I was having issues ordering online. The delivery driver was polite and very kind. He thanked me generously and had a smile on his face even though the weather is terrible right now.

Cons. They forgot the dressing for my salads but there is a gas station next door to the hotel so that was easily solved.
They didn't cut my pizza. So it's a big circle of pizza that I'm going to have to rip apart.

Aside from those small things I definitely give them 5 stars. The food is good. A little pricey. Overall their awesome customer service made it worth it to me. Good job East Of Chicago pizza in Shipshewana! I will definitely eat here whenever I come to town!
Whoever it was that I spoke to on the phone and the delivery driver double thumbs up to the both of you!

We went after the Christmas lights were lit and it was about half hour before they closed. We expected to go in, but the dining room was closed. They were swamped and closed at 9. They still took our order and stayed after 9:30 to make sure we still got our pizza delivered. We were so thankful and will definitely be back.

I don't understand why this place is not a five Star. Ate here today ad its only place open in area. It was delicious. Very friendly. Manager even came to every table to ask how it was and if he could get anything else for us. It is a hit and five star.

The fact that they were open on a Sunday in Shipshewanna was a great relief for a weary traveler. That pizzas were excellent. Had never had a Chicago Melt before but this Chicago Melt pizza was delicious. I also had a bite or two of the BBQ Chicken pizza (yum yum). The chicken wings were equally as good. Nice and crispy. The meal was not complete without the warm sweet tasting CinnaPops !!! Kudos to the chef! Will definitely be stopping by again.

We drive over 30 minutes to come here for the best pizza around the area, good service too.

Nice pizza place close to the flea market. They are open a little later into the evening.

Yum! My husband and I LOVED this pizza. They have a stuffed crust pizza that is delicious. The menu variety is extensive and prices are reasonable. Staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!
