Sikorski's Service Station

This place has been an Amsterdam institution since the 40's. Up until recently it was a family owned business, but the last Sikorski decided to retire and the business was purchased by a long time employee, Jim Looman.

The level of customer service is outstanding. Jim always gives me a fair estimate and price and does his best to fit you in if you are in a bind, but he is very busy so if would call ahead and make an appointment whenever possible

It is a small shop with no waiting areas so make sure that you have some alternate transportation if you are going to have some work done.

Jimmy is honest, very nice and welcoming, excellent service. I would recommend this garage for anyone needing auto repairs.

I've only been here a handful of times myself but those times I have it's been great! I have yet to learn the guy's name or anyone else who works there (and I didn't think to look before I started typing this as I'm pretty sure it's in these reviews somewhere) but he's very respectable and always kind. My go-to garage in the area.

Awesome. I've never been to a garage with so many mechanics. Jimmy is such a nice guy. Him and his crew and courteous and professional. I moved to the area, not too long ago and so as a first time customer of Sikorski's, I will say I was very pleased. From the first conversation I had with Jimmy to his sincerely fair price he charged in the end was all such a good experience for me, I can happily say I found my new mechanic. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend everyone bring their vehicle to Sikorski's for service. I'm sure you will be as pleased with them as I am.

GREAT PLACE! Had a screw in my tire 100+ miles from home. Amsterdam Police officer suggested I go there - in and out in 10 minutes-great customer service! A great place to have work done on your vehicle. If I lived near Amsterdam I would take my car there.

Been taking my cars to Fran and his team for a long time now. They put quality of work above everything and go out of their way to make sure every customer is satisfied and has a safe car to drive. It's hard to find a shop that's this honest and hard working. No matter where in the Capital Region I'm living, I always make sure these guys are the ones who work on my cars.

Best Auto shop in Amsterdam. They may not always be the cheapest of every shop in the city, but they are trustworthy and honest about whatever issue you are having. The cheap shops are the ones that will rip you off. I always try to go here with whatever I need done with my car, whether it's inspection or oil change or a major repair because I know they will fix the problem. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

I have been bringing my cars here consistently for years. All of the mechanics are very honest, kind, and they always do a great job!

I brought my car in for an oil change, but I forgot to tell Jim I had a slow leak in one of my tires. When Jim called me to tell me my car was ready, he let me know they found a nail on one of my tires and repaired it. It was a modest expense, far less than what I was expecting. That very repair has cost me more at a tire store in the past. I trust Jim ,Matt and the rest of the boys at Sikorski's. The extra service you get when you bring your automobile in for routine maintenance is a lost art form, but not at Sikorski's.

Jim and his crew are Amazing. Honesty in car repairs is hard to find but Jim will be completely honest and fair about what's wrong and how much to fix it!!!

Excellent service. I would never go anywhere else. I highly recommend this garage if you want an honest and very helpful garage. I've been using ONLY this garage for past 4 yrs.

I usually take care of repairs myself. When that doesn't work out, my first stop is Sikorskis. The mechanics and owner have great communication and the work is done with haste and quality. I would recommend them to anyone.

I recently moved to the City of Amsterdam and was out looking for a place that does NYS motorcycle inspections when I came across this place. The counter attendant scheduled me for the next morning which happened to be a Saturday. When I arrived as scheduled I was greeted warmly & told they would be with me shortly. Sitting in the waiting area I observed several customers interacting with the counter person, an outgoing slightly older gentleman. It soon became obvious by the overheard conversations that these were long term repeat customers which in it self speaks volumes of the service given here. Unfortunately they dont work on motorcycles, though they are a full service auto repair shop. I will not hesitate to bring my auto here for scheduled maintenance and needed repairs.

I cant thank Sikorskis enough. They helped me through a rough time and offered nothing but honesty and generosity. They truly saved me today and for that they will have my loyalty for years to come. Thank you so much!!

Great place to get your vehicle fixed they have reasonable prices on fixing your vehicle. And the guys are awesome put on what they do. Good place to go. And it is family runned.
