This is my favorite kind of local restaurant: extremely delicious and unique menu combined with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The pan de waffle with berries & arequipe (a caramel sauce) is easily the best waffles I've ever eaten, ever. Also love the beef empanadas. The crust is perfectly flaky.
I like the espresso drinks, too. The coffee is bright and sweet.

First time and it didn’t disappoint ! Went for breakfast with pops and little sister.
The location is kept away but the inside is very nice and vibey
We ate 4 empanadas: chicken, beef and 2 Bocadillo (guava) and the Guava were the best! An experience (others were good to). The puff pastry element is really something
Also orders a passion fruit smoothie which was refreshing and an Arepa toast

This place is amazing. Great atmosphere, delicious food, creative and delicious drinks. It is just what Gaithersburg has been missing: an amazing local coffee shop. I'd highly recommend the choco-espresso which is incredible. They must use real chocolate in this drink because it's divine. I had the chicken empanada (Fabulous) and the waffle with berries which was delicious. Please visit this shop so we can keep it in Gaithersburg!

Don't sleep on this incredibly unique Colombian cafe tucked away in this area! The food is so good it makes you feel like momma is cooking in the kitchen and the staff are so welcoming and friendly ! I already can't wait to go back and get another waffle and empanada

Amazing neighborhood coffee shop. Great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and try some Colombian treats like empanadas, pan de bono and arepas. The seating is very limited, but the atmosphere is great.

Been coming back here many times. Their waffles are the best! My boyfriend and I always order choco-espresso and one of those yummy waffles. The place is clean and nice. Will be back to try other things soon.

My wife was homesick for authentic Colombian pastelitos and this place HIT THE SPOT. The ambience, service, and food were all great! The items containing bocadillo were not too sweet, but perfectly balanced. The coffee selection is great and they have specialty whole bean coffee you can take home too. By far our favorite was the arepa choclo (not pictured) — will be coming back for more!!!

This place is very unique the atmosphere is very welcoming, customer service always with great attitude. My husband and I came here for breakfast and Robinson made my day!!! when I told him that it was my birthday he brought me a waffle with ice cream and congratulated me. I had the best coffee to celebrate my birthday thank you to Robinson and la Poteria!

Our order came quickly, and the service was friendly. Can't wait to be back and try other options. It was a little crowded, so be prepared for the possibility of taking out if it's a rainy day too.

Edit added: It would be nice if they had more plugs accessible since it's "advertised" on their sidewalk sign.

We love this place! Been twice so far and we had empanadas and waffles, everything was delicious. Highly recommend the farmer's coffee and tea, sweet and spiced, so warm and toasty! Perfect for cold days like today. We ordered takeout and they waited to make the drinks until we arrived so they'd be hot for us. So considerate!! We'll definitely be back =)

Really a great place, staff is super friendly! Haven’t had the chance to taste a lot of the menu yet but I got a small dough ball with guava inside.. delicious!!!

The cafe here is nice to relax and get some work done, it is fairly quiet, if your into long stays. But dont expect that chairs to be lay-z-boys.

The service is really good and family friendly, so it is easy to ask questions to the staff when your clueless like myself on these types of foods.

The prices as good and expect to spend at least 5 bucks for a drink, but can you really say no to tasty snacks they have? I didnt and I loved it. Its a small place, but a really good local shop I would recommend, plus all homemade!

Pandebono: These cheese bread is awesome, so chewy and full of cheesy flavor, absolutely a go to here, you must try it. If you love cheese and bread, get it!

Baked Chicken Empanada (Air-Fried): This was insanely good, the flaky-ness was beyond imagination and the chicken blended beautifully. I wasnt expectibg it to taste so unique, compared to the standard cookie cutter shapes and standard empanadas. I highly recommend it!

Latte: Very good balance of milk and coffee stuff, fairly strong, just perfect for lattelovers.

Awesome space, Awesome food, Awesome people!! Our capuccinos were 5 ⭐.

Cute cafe with great drink and food options. Their empanadas are fresh and delicious and the cappuccino was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend supporting a local small business as good as this one. Will absolutely be returning customers!

Came here to work in the morning and this place is one of the cutest coffee shops I’ve been to in the area. But most importantly the food was delicious. I also ordered the iced mocha to drink and it was good. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back to try more .

Amazingly good food! I loved the authenticity. The decor was very fun and cheerful and the service was excellent and friendly. I will definitely come back here again next time I'm in the area!

I have done dine in and take out here. I finally went in person after having delivery twice and I really enjoyed how friendly, easy going, accommodating, and welcoming the staff was. When I have had take out, the items hold up well by the time I get home and are still delicious. I enjoy the flavor of the coffee and espresso, the flavors are mild not harsh or burnt tasting. I love Colombian style hot dogs and theirs is delicious! The empanadas are good also. I plan to have more items off the menu in the future for sure!

What a bright and welcoming little cafe! I so enjoyed my visit. From the patient and friendly service to the delicious empanadas, I am so glad that I stopped by. I decided to try the veggie empanada due to my current vegetarian diet: it was so good! Soft, flaky crust with a vegetable and quinoa filled deliciousness. Definitely try the sauce that comes with it: yummy. My mom was so happy with her spinach and cheese empanada.

The dining room is bright and happy. Small but not crowded, open, and warm. We sat in comfy chairs near the counter as we waited for our to go order.

The coffee. Smooth and of good quality. My latte (with almond milk of course) did not disappoint, and mom's machiato was a pleaser, too! They also sell coffee to buy and brew at home.

I can't wait to come back by myself with a good book. Hopefully, I will get a cozy seat near the window!
