If you’re looking for an honest shop, this is the one, I dropped my car off with a knocking noise thought it was timing Chain/guide related. come to find out my AC compressor bolts were coming loose. They tightened it up for me. Also checked my pulleys changed a tensioner that was going bad and put on a new belt and had it done In 1 day. Doesn’t get more honest than that. I don’t think they are the cheapest, but if you don’t want to worry about whether you’re dealing with an honest mechanic or not bring your vehicle here great service!

I’m giving Hometown a 5 star rating because of how awesome Mike(owner) is. He is very thoughtful and is someone you can truly trust. It’s not only about him though. His employees are very helpful and genuine with making sure you are getting a good deal on parts for your vehicle. So friendly too! Being a woman you normally get mechanic shops trying to just make money, but at Hometown auto repair as a woman you can trust that they are honest and actually trying to help.

Trustworthy and professional, they know their stuff. Hometown is the ONLY place I will take my, family's, work's, or send my friends vehicles. As a former professional mechanic and lifetime gearhead, I refuse to give my hard earned dollars to some shyster or wanna be "tech" who thinks I don't know any better. Not that I can't turn a wrench, just too busy. Honestly, Micheal is a real intelligent guy with great crew to back him up. Hometown Auto have always been very thorough and verify issue/s (not guess) BEFORE needlessly spending your money.

My son took his car in. Was leaking coolant. They called and explained the problem. It was repaired and he had it back by the end of the day. Great service. Will definitely be taking it back for any further issues.

I cannot say enough nice things about this business! I stopped in the other day for questions about some ongoing issues - including a light bulb that burned out. Not only did Michael and his team graciously help me out that day but gave me a quick and fair quote!

I really appreciate good, honest mechanics especially when I am alone as a lady getting services done. It’s an old stereotype but sometimes true that people will take advantage of your lack of knowledge about cars. Not these guys! They are the best.

Very honest, did the repair for MUCH LESS than the Toyota dealership, and it worked. Mike also told us that a lot of dealerships would try to get you to do the big repair of the rear main seal, but that he knew of something that is usually the problem that is far less expensive, and if he did an oil change, when he got the oil filter out of the way he would be able to replace this thing . . . Sorry I am not a mechanic, it might have been a gasket or a seal? Whatever it was saved us hundreds of dollars. We are very pleased with the service, and Mike delivered on time with no delays. We did book an appointment which was around 5 days after our first call, but he told us upfront that if we dropped the vehicle off the day we called, that he wouldn't be able to get to it for at least 4 or 5 days. So we scheduled and he had my truck for 2 days, which was exactly what he promised. And I believe the oil change, new oil filter, and the other part to fix the oil leak was $275. Will definitely be doing business with Hometown Auto in the future!! Thanks, Mike!!

Always great with communication! They are flexible with my schedule and have always told me exactly what they are doing and what to expect. I've always felt they listened were eager to help. Very capable mechanics and everyone has been friendly and professional. They even work with other shops to help get you the lowest price the can on parts.

Had my wife's Mazda CX-9 in to get the timing chain/water pump system repaired. The timing chain became loose and jumped some teeth after the water pump bearing gave out. I generally do all of my own mechanic work but just didn't have the time or space to do this big of a project and I wanted to take the car to someone who seemed trustworthy. It took a while for Michael to start working on my car but he was honest and kept me up to date on scheduling. I was also very happy with how honest and transparent he was with pricing. I knew every step of the way what the breakdown of costs were and in the end he knocked some of the price off for stuff that didn't get used (easily could have been dishonest about that). On top of honesty, he was extremely knowledgable and I had confidence from the first conversation that someone who knew what they were doing was opening up my engine cover.
There was a slight issue when I picked the car up, but I was very impressed with the way it was handled and it was resolved very quickly and fairly. I've had the car back for a week now and I am very happy with the performance of the vehicle and am happy to have paid Michael to do that level of work in the engine.

This is an amazing shop with good people. I've had to take 2 of my vehicles there for separate issues and both times they gave me a great price and didn't feel like I was being ripped off or they were just trying to sell me something I didn't need. Michael and Hometown Auto Repair provides all the mechanic work for our company Infinity Security. He maintains our fleet of cars and also I take my band vehicle and my personal vehicles to him. Michael is not only a genius diagnostician, but he is one of the kindest and best people I have ever met. He has helped me out a thousand times and saved our company tons of money and headaches by diagnosing exactly what our vehicles need instead of trying to make the most money possible like most vehicle repair shops. He is legitimately an honest mechanic and I trust him as a vendor that we use, but much more importantly I trust him as a good person who always does the right thing. I tell everyone I know about him, because I know I am sending them to someone who is highly intelligent and will treat people right and take care of them.

Honest, fast and cost efficient. The people here are kind courteous, and very good at what they do. The thing I appreciated the most was the honesty. There check is thorough, and the mechanics will go over every problem they found and tell you how urgent they think it is. I even asked about doing something I thought needed to be done, instead of taking my money and doing it they let me know that it wasn't necessary. You can't beat an honest and reliable mechanic, I will bring all my vehicles now from now on. And I suggest that you do too.
