Awesome giant old stonework picnic shelter! Built in 1932, this shelter has such great patina on the stones it's amazing. There's probably enough room for 60 or more people to all sit and eat. There are multiple fireplaces with chimneys and several small nooks for sitting or letting the kids climb. There is a rock patio on the back that goes down to the creek. Plenty of trash cans. There is plenty of parking if you reserve this shelter otherwise the gate is closed and it's about 200 yards to the parking area. Bathroom is about 200 yards away.
