Cape 7 Cafe

I felt like the food was tasty! I received much more food than I thought I was going to get. The Oreo pancake was cooked perfectly 👌🏼 not too expensive for the amount of food. I saw other things on the menu that I’ll want to come back and try!

This location now has a new restaurant named Cape7 Cafe but kept the decor of the previous crab boil restaurant. Anyway I tried it this morning and like it!

I ordered a crab cakes Benedict and hashbrowns. They were delicious - loved the taste of the crab cakes & hollandaise & hash brown were crispy - just like I like!

I asked for extra hollandaise & my waitress brought out a bowl of it! I love hollandaise so I ate it poured over the hashbrowns!

My waitress was sweet and friendly. I was surprised they were open today - on Monday and also President’s day - but they were open.

My gosh this place is great! The menu is full of nice solid breakfast options, the staff is super nice, and since it’s such a big space I don’t feel like I need to finish up and leave so others can get in.

They kept the decor from the previous place (a crab joint?) which gives the whole enterprise a kind of hermit crab vibe (which itself is kind of charming). I really hope they stick around though!

So glad I came in. Looking forward to some long breakfast and coffee work sessions in months to come.

I had breakfast here on Tuesday February 13, and the food was pretty good. I got the Mexican style omelet and a coffee, the coffee was too strong for my taste but nothing some hot water can fix. What I really want to mention in this post is the service given by the waitress… forgot to asked her name but she has beautiful eyes and she was super helpful, she said it was her first day but she knew the menu well pretty and suggested and offered many good items. I gave 4 stars to the food just because it is my first time there but when I come back I’m sure that’s going to change to 5.

It was the best!! The food was delicious waited roughly 10-15mins for the food to come out. All made fresh. Ready to serve coffee! It was the first time I go with my family and our waitress Elle took care of us well!

My friend and I went there for Breakfast this morning and it was great. The food was good, the service was good and we have now found a breakfast place that will take the place of Alberts!

Great American diner

I went to Cape 7 Cafe in Alameda island on the first week they opened and ordered Joe's Special (Scrambled Eggs with Spinach, Beef, and Mushrooms), but an omelette instead of scrambled eggs, without hash browns or toast.

A month later, I came back and ordered a same Joe's Special and it turned out consistently.

The taste of sauteed grounded beef, with crispy mushrooms, lightly sauteed spinach and onions were so delicious.
Beautiful decorations of fruit cup with slices of strawberry, honeydew melon, cantaloupe melon, blue berries, pineapple.

Chef Louis came from Original Joe's restaurant in Daily City.

The menu has added more items and looks much better.

offers a nice classic american breakfast feeling that differs from cafe jolie across the street, i recommend trying their breakfast one time!

Waited :15 minutes to be noticed at the host station. Waited :15 minutes to order. Food came :45 minutes later and the waffles were cold (also home fries that came with one meal never came). The table behind us never ordered and left they got so frustrated. Stick with Cafe Jolie across the street!

The place looks great, I love the decor. The service was also friendly and timely. But that's where it stops. We came for dinner and they were out of about 2/3 of the menu because "they are thinking of changing the menu". The food that was available definitely tasted like it came out of the grocery store freezer section. Frozen burger patties, stale fries, the thinnest rib eye we've ever seen, and instant mashed potatoes. It seems like everyone has been commenting positively on breakfast, so we're willing to give that a try before never coming back.

Please save your hard earn money and do not have dinner here. It was probably the worst food and service we have ever had. There were three of us and we all wanted the ahi tuna burger. It was basically tuna fish out of a can. It was indescribably bad. The french fries were grey in color, cold and tasted like cardboard. The server could not have been more indifferent. When we told her how bad it was she just looked at us. We asked to talk to the owner or manager, who was the only other person in the restaurant. She walked over to him and then came back and told us he was busy. Also when we sat down we were basically told most of the items on the menu were not available. That really should have been our first clue that we should go somewhere else. I know the place is new and probably needs to work out some kinks but being new does not explain the awful food and bad service. I beg you - do not eat here. There are so many other nice places to eat on Webster St. that are deserving of your money.

Terrible experience with food and service. Ordered ahi burger and fries. We were served a hot canned tuna smooshed into a patty on a stale bun. The fries were frozen and tasteless.
We complained and asked to speak to manager but manager busy and didn’t pay any attention even though restaurant was empty. Server not helpful. Very unfortunate and can’t recommend to anyone.
