Cafe Acapulco

Food was tasty, fresh and very good. I had cheese enchiladas with tender chicken fajita meat on top. Chips are thin and yummy.

We had a very large party, and they were very accommodating. The food was delicious, and the service was great. We ordered the Angus fajitas, and they were out of this world!!
Highly recommend!!

The food, service and atmosphere were great. We had 2 jalapeño margaritas, ratones, taco salad and pupusa dinner. The margaritas were great, the ratones were stuffed with chicken, the taco salad was as big as Texas and the pupusas were delicious. The cole slaw and bean dip are worth trying before you leave, very yummy flavors. The restaurant kind of reminded us of Scarface mansion for some reason. It's pretty outdated but still fun atmosphere. This place has the COLDEST beer. We had a beer right before we left and it hit the spot. We usually do pickup but we dined in this time. It was a great time and experience. Will always be back.

Love the black bean dip. It is perfect with the chips.
I always get a variety of enchiladas and it never disappoints.
My picky young son gets the beef tacos and it is excellent as well.

Amazing food, tasty, reasonable time, and hot. The staff is nice and prompt. Will continue to eat here. It's very underrated!!!

I fricking love the black beans!!! They’re amazing, along with everything else I’ve had from here. Also a huge fan of the cheese Pupusas. Totally worth a try if you’re curious.

My first visit here and I must say it was surprisingly good! I had the crispy tacos and my wife had the cheese enchiladas and they were both good and not greasy! The chips and salsa was good, but salsa is very mild which is fine for my liking! We had 2 sodas with it and out the door for $23. The staff were nice and efficient! I will definitely be going back!! 2 👍🏻👍🏻 up!

Hidden gem in Arlington. Restaurant is understaffed, but everyone that worked there was attentive and friendly; refills were prompt and we had a complicated order and food came out perfectly. Food was fantastic, the vegetables that came with the vegetarian enchiladas were a nice touch. Highly recommend this place.

I have been coming to Cafe Acapulco for almost 30 years off and on. It was good at first but went downhill for awhile.
Now it's awesome!!

If you haven't been in awhile, i urge you to give it another try!

I'm so happy to be able to edit my review! A new owner took over the restaurant and kept the staff. He's done such an incredible job turning the place around! It's like a new restaurant! The quality of the food is consistently wonderful, the place is always clean, and even the decor has improved! The new owner, José brought in booths so there's more comfortable seating. The salsa is to die for and the enchiladas are top notch! I love it! I'm so glad someone came and breathed life back into this place! And I'm especially glad that he kept the staff! Linda is the best server and always treats me like family! I hope you enjoy your meal here as much as I do!! :)

Went there today with a friend of mine. Absolutely wonderful!!! The food was excellent and the restaurant itself was so clean and decorated just perfect. It is a nice place to go with a friend who lives here or an out of town friend. The service was wonderful. Unfortunately I accidentally got rid of my receipt and she had written her name on it. But she was there at noon today so it would be very easy to figure out who she is. Very upset I didn't keep my receipt but she was so friendly and so attentive. You just have to try this restaurant - I think you think you will love it all around.

Both meals ordered were awesome. Their tortilla soup is loaded with so much variety and flavors! I was very satisfied with the friendliness and fast service of the staff. We will be back and will tell others to check them out!

Cafe Acapulco has gotten a lot better! After ownership sold a couple years ago, the menu change was not good. We decided to check back today and wow! Apparently they changed the menu back to the style of Tex-Mex we love here in Texas. And, the menu selection is wider than many Mexican food places.

Like all food service businesses these days, they're hurting for waiting staff. But if you can overlook their service challenges, you'll leave full, and satisfied.

We had a large group on Christmas Eve, and we made the reservation several weeks in advance. We had a wonderful experience! Even though our reservation was towards the end of the evening, we never felt rushed or like we were an inconvenience. The server was friendly and attentive and made our evening special.

Hadn’t been there in YEARS but heard they were under new management from previous owners- DELICIOUS! I tried the pupusas as I had never had them before - SO GOOD. Next time I tried Mitchell’s plate - the sour cream chicken enchilada was one of best I’ve tried! Went back on a Friday to meet friends - margaritas were quite tasty. I’ll definitely be going back - soon!
