Shell lake lunchbox

This is a quiet cafe that offers breakfast and lunch. The food was good as was the service. The atmosphere is bright and fun with 248 lunch boxes on display. I personally liked the Curious George lunch boxes. The bathroom was small but clean. Parking is right out front.

Good hometown food. There was a rush as we arrived so the cook came out and served water and coffees...nice! Then our food came our fast too. Cool lunchbox theme.

We are camping at the Shell Lake Municipal Campground and heard about this restaurant which serves breakfast and lunch. We walked over for breakfast. The place itself is very adorable and is decorated in blue and hello colors for the Shell Lake High School Lakers and lunchboxes. The menu items are plenty to choose from. We ended up getting chicken fried steak with sunny side up eggs and hash browns, the works omelette with sausage patties on the side. I had to also try corned beef hash. Everything was wonderful… chicken fried steak was one of the best ones I have had. Omelet (3 egg) was huge and delicious. Corned beef hash was very good. They do have a bar and serve drinks; we opted not to have any. The service was good, the prices were amazingly reasonable. It’s hard to get meals like this for the price. Our total was $32 and it was super worth it. Hope more people visit and dine here.

It was a very cold Saturday morning, so it was a bit chilly in there, not much could be helped with that. The food was amazing and the staff were kind and wonderful. Thanks for a great breakfast!

Had Brunch today that consisted of a Breakfast Sandwich ( English Muffin, Egg over hard w/cheese, crispy bacon, and accompanied by crispy hash browns.) and the Lunch Special, a Chicken Salad Croissant served with chips. Both meals were equally delicious and service from our waitress Dakota was Excellent!

Haven't had chipped beef on toast in years. My first visit and it was the breakfast special. Very good! I will be back.

Enjoyed a delicious omelet with some crispy hash browns. Service was good and the atmosphere was comforting.

Fun little diner with great atmosphere. The food was really good and it came out pretty quickly. Will definitely go back if/when I’m in the area again.

Fish fry was the best. If you don't get enough to eat, it's your own fault. Ask for reorders. Great fish. Yummy

I have had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant several times recently. The food is delicious (I'm fond of the pizza burger), but everything they bring out looks and smells VERY yummy. The staff are friendly and fun! For such a new little place, the owners are doing great despite having a hard time finding staff and training new staff. Be patient and be kind as they are new and still in the learning stages. I will continue to go back. I know my mom also has great things to say about the place as well.

I eat at this place all the time. Rick and the staff are friendly and eager to please. The food is delicious! If there’s anything I ask for they are quick to make it happen. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want great food at reasonable prices!!

A wonderful place to work and eat! I appreciate the lengths the Rick's went to help me during my mothers passing. The atmosphere is a wonderful to be within. The food is wonderful and they are always finding way to improve and trying new things! I look forward to the places they will go in the future!

I have ordered food here to go and ate in the restaurant several times. Always pleased with food and great service. Highly recommend for breakfast lunch and dinner !

Beautiful day to walk in and sample different restaurant in Shell Lake Wisconsin. All folks working there are very nice and friendly. Help you and explain every item they have to cook for you. Love to go back and order another lunch from there or have in a box to take to the park across the street to enjoy 😋

The grilled fish on Friday is highly recommended. Just a little bit battered on the grill.

Great food, big portions for the price! Friendly owners, they made sure to stop and check in on us and see how everything was tasting! And they run great specials!

Excellent all you can eat fish fry. Cod was perfect and service was great. Price of $11.50 makes it a great value.
