I can't believe this was my first time here! We joined Tori with Foodie Tours NC and El Chapin in Aberdeen was one of our stops. Cozy environment, pleasant service, delicious Guatemalan food!

Don't judge a book by it's cover is a phrase that best describes this place. Food is great!! Friendly service. Would love to see them in a better building.

1st time here. Exceptional service! Food was very good. I had steak, and wife had the shrimp. Really, everything was great. Very prompt service, cold beer, steak was tender and well seasoned. The beans were also very good. Rice was fresh and delicious.

Very good food. Similar to Mexican, but different enough that I didn’t recognize much on the menu. Everything we got was fantastic. Portions are large and prices are affordable.

Great addition to Aberdeen. Food was great and staff was attentive. I ended up here about 3 times in one week, trying to drag an many friends as possible in there. The food was always exceptional and the staff are great people.

I need to share this place with everyone. I cannot keep em a secret any more. Their food is authentic, the atmosphere makes it feel real. The staff is passionate about what they are doing. Real good food. They serve alcohol as well, BONUS! I LOVE THEIR PUPUSAS! MUY BIEN! It is small and fills fast, so get there before dinner rush.

Don't skip their fried plantains!

We've been to El Chapin several times only to find consistently delicious food, outstanding and respectful service, and a delightful atmosphere! El Chapin has become our area favorite!

Best food. Fresh. Delicious. Highly recommend. If you are a lover of Mexican food you will enjoy Guatemalan food! Do make note that there are differences, a great example the tortillas are thicker.

Great food! The flavors are just perfect and the guac is amazing. We love coming back to all of the smiling faces the staff has and appreciate them being able to accommodate our group!

The best Guatemalan food in the area!!! You’ve got to try this place, sumptuous food, great service and well worth the serving! Food is more like the home cooked food.

Amazing little place! Food was incredible and authentic, service was outstanding. We had such a wonderful time with friends. We will be back! Oh, and the carrot cake is too die for!!

Amazing sevice, excellent quality of food, cleanliness of the restaurant and prices!
The greeting with guacamole 🥑 and chips was so delicious! Then the food arrived!
The food was exquisite! I had the bone beef meat and vegetables soup!

My daughter had the hotdogs! She was fascinated and impress with the amount of flavors bursting in her mouth…….as she enjoyed every bite!
Overall a must visit cozy family oriented restaurant at Aberdeen NC!

What a lovely restaurant. I had my first foray into Guatemalan cuisine here and was seriously impressed. The servers were nice and the whole restaurant had a cheery vibe to it. I needed some assistance making a decision on what to eat but settled on the pollo adobado and fried pork chunks. My girlfriend and I split so we could each try both entrees. They were incredibly flavorful and we were stuffed. Not pictured was the basket of corn based tortillas which were perfect for getting the perfect bite of everything. I’ll definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my meal. I had to fry fish it was very tasty crunchy. We had the platin con crema very tasty. It was a nice adventure.

I had dinner with my family here tonight and the food is 10/10. I ordered the churrasco and it was amazing! The Guac is so flavorful. Amazing customer service.

3rd time at this place and it has been fantastic every time. The staff is so friendly and the food has been fresh and flavorful every time. Tried a mango mojito today and it was perfect with my meal. This place is worth trying.

Wow!! What a fantastic meal. We had the La Parradilla para Dos and it was amazing. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The meats were well seasoned. Everything about our meal was fabulous. One of the best meals I've had in a couple of years. This is my new favorite place. Amazing!!

Service is over the top, food is amazing and with fair prices, I ordered two meals and it was about $25 and took about 10-15 minutes. Fresh made salsa available, beer on tap, what else could you ask for? The atmosphere isn't my personal vibe but I would be more than happy to eat in the restaurant (I got my order to go). I had the Plato Tipico Chapin and I'd definitely recommend trying it. A new weekly or biweekly lunch spot for me!
