Had a delightful brunch experience at Wave St. Cafe, and it's a spot that truly knows how to make mornings memorable! From the moment we arrived, the staff's warmth and friendliness set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The dog-friendly patio, complete with puppy treats on hand, added an extra layer of charm for our furry friends.

The menu at Wave St. Cafe is wonderfully generous, offering a nice selection of coffee and serving breakfast and lunch all day long. One standout feature is their full Benedict menu, which we couldn't resist trying. I opted for the Norwegian Benedict, while my partner savored the vegetarian sausage and avocado Benedict. Both dishes were a triumph, with perfectly poached eggs and a homemade hollandaise sauce that was tangy, savory, and downright addictive. And let's not forget about the breakfast potatoes – they were absolutely delicious, adding the perfect finishing touch to our meal.

Stopped by for a nice quick and casual lunch with my partner during a quick break from the aquarium. Service was very friendly and fast and the food was absolutely delicious. Both my partner and I got the Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich without the onions, he got it with fries, and I got it with their salad and balsamic vinaigrette. The whole entire sandwich was absolutely delicious but for me, the highlight was 100% the mushrooms they add onto the sandwich. I have not personally seen or tried a chicken pesto sandwich with mushrooms but it did not disappoint whatsoever. They were extremely delicious and added a really nice flavor to the sandwich overall. The salad was very fresh and crunchy, the croutons being my favorite part , and the fries were nice and hot. Overall the meal was extremely satisfying for a very good price. We had outside patio seating and it was a beautiful view and the cafe itself overall has a very nice aesthetic. Would definitely love to come back again in the future.

The food and atmosphere is amazing here! There is currently no way to make a reservation, which means you have to be on a waiting list which isn't so bad. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait, but it only took around 15. Their Pesto chicken sandwich was phenomenal and even their fries are a cut above anything I've had recently. My Fiancé and I will definitely be returning to work our way through the menu!

Loved it! Lots of great tasty food options,with a wonderful sight out front, and outdoor seating surrounded by flowers. It was all very Mediterranean. It's a little bit on the expensive side, but well worth it if you ask me.

We were looking for a good breakfast spot before hitting the road. Found this on google as well reviewed and decided to stop. There was a wait of around 30 minutes so I guessed it was popular.
I ordered the huevos rancheros and husband had the corned beef benedict, both were really tasty.

Their caramelized banana and pecans pancakes are now my favorite ever! I plan to go there every time I’m back in the area! My friend and I wanted sweet and savory so we split the pancakes and an order of the huevos rancheros with vegetarian sausage which was also delicious!

It's a go-to place here. It has a great ocean view, good food, and Mexican music. There will be a line of you go there after 9 am.

Wow what a gem, we were lucky enough to spot it on our afternoon walk the day before. The next morning we were looking for a good sit down breakfast spot with a wait staff and good kids options. Wave Cafe' was GREAT we were seated pretty quickly and were tended to right away. the sound level was acceptable and they had many kids options.

Food was wonderful, staff very friendly and prompt service! We went two days in a row it was that good! You must try the pancakes with caramelized bananas and pecans!

Amazing food, location and staff! I love how they serve breakfast all day. I ordered the breakfast burrito and I had it for 2 meals. It was HUGE. The breakfast burrito was one of the best I've ever had. The Cafe is not very big, so there typically is a wait time, however it is well-worth it!

We keep coming back day after day. The food is so amazing! The menu is huge and we have yet to order anything that wasn't yummy! The view of the ocean is awesome, and the staff is so helpful and polite. On colder mornings, they'll have heaters outside for you. They have lots of drink selections, alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

We went here for Benedict, and we were satisfied. I got the heirloom tomato and wife got the portabella. I added Canadian bacon to mine (I think all Benedict should have ham and tomato). Both of them were outstanding, with the heirloom Benedict being the best of the two.
We would go back if we were here longer. I'm sure the rest of the food is amazing.

Great place for breakfast/brunch with beautiful outdoor seating with view of the ocean. I've ran by this place 100 times and enjoyed the scent of coffee and food which is so inviting. Finally sat down and had a meal and was not disappointed. The calamari steak and eggs was done the way I like it and my "dessert" of Brioche French toast was deliciously topped with fresh strawberries. The chai was soooo good (not sickeningly sweet like at other places) and the vanilla late was done well too. My friends enjoyed their steak and eggs as well.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We were seated promptly and our drinks etc came in a timely manner even though the place was busy on a holiday Monday. Pet friendly patio for furry friends.

Will definitely be back in the future.

The breakfast at this restaurant was amazing. The lox bagel and the Benedicts we're awesome (I had one with Mexican flavors and it was spicy but good). We also had the monkey pancakes (pecans and banana) and this was one of the best pancakes we have ever had. If we ever return to this area, we will return this restaurant.

I've been here twice, tried two new things each time. It's top notch and all very good. Quick service, good food. Then prices are standard for Pacific Grove maybe a touch better. Go here for breakfast and you won't be disappointed.

We love having breakfast at the Wave Street Cafe when visiting Monterey. This time was with the mother in law and she loved it as we did. My wife had the Norwegian omelette with salmon, mom had a denver omelette and I had the chorizo scramble and all were great. The table next to us had their “little” puppy with them and he was so mellow! As you can figure, they’re dog friendly as are a lot of the area restaurants

Best brunch I’ve had in a long time. Classic American dishes with a Mexican twist. Their list of Benedict’s is extensive. Bloody Mary was strong and spicy, just the way I like it! We got the pancakes shown as a starter and they were DEVINE! But definitely not necessary as none of us finished our main courses 😅 if I came back to the area, this would definitely be a “can’t miss”

Stopped by during our road trip, could have easily spent hours here enjoying the food, drinking, sun and music.
