The Rusty Cup - Ozarks

Fantastic little restaurant! Great locally roasted coffee, from scratch sausage gravy, and salsa that'll make you ask for seconds! Everything my husband and I got was absolutely perfect, and big portions too! Not to mention how impeccably clean both the restaurant and bathrooms are, coupled with friendly and cheerful staff, we will absolutely be back for more!

The Rusty Cup overfloweth with good food and good times. Wandered in, a drifter, a hobo vagabond farmhand troubadour, quite unlike the agèd vacationeers that frequent Mt. View,—and Lo! but I am met by the sweetest staff of sweethearts that this old world has to offer. The ladies talked me into the Reuben, which features a house-made sauerkraut, or “hauskraut,” alongside chips, coleslaw, cut tea. No alcoholic drinks, unfortunately, as this here Rusty Cup is sittin pretty in a dadgum dry county. Now, you tell me how the “Folk Music Capital of the World” can exist in a country without rye whiskey rye whiskey? how this little “Bluegrass Mecca” can go on in a land without shine? Folks, that just ain’t right. And yet it was all right—a most satisfying, refreshing, revitalizing meal after a long day on the road. Met the owner / head chef, a friendly spirit well worth supporting and getting to know. I only wish I’d have had more time to chat, to order an ice cream, and/or play the piano by the window; but, alas, ‘twas nigh closing time. Left the joint and soaked up a top-notch bluegrass show, free of charge, right across the street on the courthouse lawn. Later, waltzed around town, sung a few songs of my own in various places, and slept in a vacant gazebo. But, of all these experiences, I have to say The Rusty Cup will be the one I remember most fondly, the best part of my overall Mt. View experience.

You know that scene in Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade where Indie drinks from the old, rustic-looking cup rather than any of the ornate fancy boys? This Rusty Cup is exactly like that, right down to the immortality thing. Now, come here, over all the other restaurants in Mt. View, and see if you can take a bite without hearing that hoarse old man in your head say, “You have chosen wisely.”

Have been here numerous times, and it has been hands down delicious !!! A soup of the day, and, it's got old school fountain drinks, Italian cream sodas, and delicious coffees. Oh, and delicious made on premise, cinnamon rolls.

If you're ever in Mt View, and wanna put your feet up, have a little bite to eat, or drink, definitely stop in and give it a try. You won't regret it

Great atmosphere and good food. The Bluegrass Festival was going on this weekend, so I think the staff was a bit overwhelmed, otherwise I would have given higher stars to the staff (forgetting coffee a big no no). Restrooms were immaculate.

I stopped in for breakfast and had the breakfast burrito with homemade salsa. It was wonderful. Had a nice visit with the owner.

The food was delish! We had a chicken bacon avacado wrap, Mountain Burger with a fried egg, vegetable soup, and pasta salad. The wild strawberry lemonade was so good! We will definitely be back.

The breakfast burrito and pancakes were very good! Would definitely recommend. The latte’s tasted a little watery and definitely too much milk, but not the worst we’ve ever had.

We would definitely go back for the food, but would probably pass on the lattes.

This place is very clean. The staff is so friendly. Now to the food one word is wow! We had breakfast and it was great. I got the works burrito and if you are hungry this is what you should get. The kids got pancakes and they were so fluffy and good!

Stopped by for a quick drink treat after swimming. I ordered the Italian cream soda with Irish cream flavoring. For $3, you get a large glass of refreshing soda with cream and a flavoring type with whipped cream. It was a cold, tasty treat served very quickly with friendly service.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, no matter what time of the day you visit The Rusty Cup, the food is great. The "Roger that! Ruben" is the best Ruben sandwich I ever had. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. My wife and I eat there almost weekly. Additionally, we buy fresh locally roasted coffee beans that we grind at home and it tastes fit for a king.

Beautiful, modern, but rustic atmosphere. Very friendly, prompt service. And the best bacon egg and cheese biscuit I've ever had. My husband had the ham, egg, and cheese croissant and said it tasted delicious. Oh! And they play great old country music!

This was a very unique place to go eat breakfast, in a good way. They were amazing and treated my kids nicely. And their coffee is amazing.

We enjoyed breakfast at The Rusty Cup, we had the biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bacon, fruit and coffee. The pancakes were so good! Everything was fresh, service was friendly, the kitchen was efficient, and everything was welcoming and clean. We loved the cozy, rustic, feel to the interior. We were welcomed as soon as we entered the door, we love to find these treasures in small town America.

1st time to visit. I wanted to try a bison burger. The service was a little slow, but we did visit during a festival, and the waitress did let us know before we ordered. We enjoyed the burgers and will be back maybe next time we'll do the breakfast

Loved this little quaint, Cafe. The pancakes were awesome. The coffee was exceptional, too.

Their country potatoes areTHE BEST. Wonderfully seasoned, nice and crisp on the outside and soft inside
And don’t get me started on the sausage patty, wonderful flavor but not too spicy
We had the regular coffee and were fully caffeinated and ready for the day.

EXCELLENT service!! My mom and I are originally from mountain view. We visited the Rusty Cup. It was delicious. Best pancakes I've had in a while. Delicious biscuits and gravy. Very friendly staff. We took my aunt back the next day. She(my aunt) enjoyed it as well. We will be back. Loved it!! ❤❤

Delicious coffee and food. The coffee menu was great.

Really good breakfast. The Hobo potatoes were the best. Good coffee locally roasted. Looking forward to a Rueben with fresh made saurcraut. Had the Reuben for lunch and it was great. The fresh made red cabbage makes this a wonderful sandwich.

Cute place. Yummy food. Very nice servers. I love this place !
