Basecamp151

This place is so cute, inviting and in general perfect. I had the best stay here! You can tell a lot of thought was put into the decor. The beds are so comfortable. Getting into the room was seemless. The location is everything! It's so close to the great breweries and wineries in the area. If you like staying in this area I would absolutely recommend Basecamp 151. I will certainly be back!

Check in was super easy and contactless via email. We stayed in room 2 which while it doesn’t have any external windows was super cozy and inviting. The two sky lights provide a nice natural glow in the morning and the bed was one of the best we have slept in at a hotel/air bnb in ages. The rooms were very clean and I’d highly recommend. It’s 5 minutes away from some of the best breweries and vineyards on 151. Especially our favorite, Wild Man Dan’s!

Amazing suite - everything was spotlessly clean from top to bottom. Bed was comfy and linens were perfect. What made it an over the top trip for me was when I opened the freezer and there was a large block ice mold with fresh cubes being frozen for a tasty bourbon after a day on the 151 Brew Trail!!! Other guests were respectful and quiet after the 10 PM “curfew”. No crazy shenanigans at all. Can’t wait to stay again - what a great facility and experience!!!!

We will definitely stay at Basecamp 151 again. Not only is the location perfect, but the bed and pillows are amazingly comfortable. Breakfast sandwiches can be found about 1.5 miles from the inn, and a cute shop is located directly across the street. It has beer and mead tastings, and cheese, crackers, nuts and other goodies for purchase.

Travelled here to get away from the city (DC area) for one night and BaseCamp 151 provided a luxury experience! I had texted the hosts with a question before checking in and they were prompt in their response AND there was no having to deal with an automated text service. The location is beautiful and a straight shot to all the wineries and breweries. The beds are so comfortable that I got the best sleep in YEARS. The attention to detail in the lobby and the rooms makes for a very boutique experience. I loved it and will definitely be coming back! Thank you for your hospitality :)

We loved our short stay at this adorable oasis! So clean, perfectly stocked with everything we needed, communication was excellent, beds were so comfortable- we will definitely be back!

Basecamp 151 exceeded out our expectations! The camp is location is great and secured. The room is clean, modern, and comfortable. The common area is pretty cool too - tv lounge and coffee station. Parking was not an issue as well. Highly recommended and will be returning for future vacations.

We had a great time at Basecamp. It was perfect for our group of 6 and conveniently located close to numerous breweries and wineries. We’d recommend this for any group looking to have a comfy weekend near Charlottesville.

We came to Basecamp 151 for a weekend getaway for wineries and breweries. The hotel was in a great location for what we were looking for. The room was clean and accommodating. The bed gave me the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. The common area was exactly what we needed to enjoy food and coffee after a long day. The coffee bar had everything we needed. Our only complaint was the shower head in suite 4 was broken, but functional. We will be returning to Basecamp 151 in the future!

Beautiful room with awesome style and filled w plenty of everything you'll need! Nice location super convenient to wineries and Bold Rock as well as some other local spots like a cool Mead tasting location across the street.

If you’re planning a trip to Nelson 151 or to this side of Virginia, the Basecamp is a fantastic option. I’ll be coming here again for sure, the location is fantastic, the whole place is very modern and clean. I highly recommend this place!

We loved our stay with Basecamp 151!! Super clean, homey, and literally a perfect Basecamp for our stay! We loved the common space and getting coffee every morning! We enjoyed the deck for a relaxing break and the ability to hook up our personal streaming on the tvs. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This place was very cute and had beautifully decorated rooms. Suite 1 was so nice as it had its own back door to go directly outside or the front door that led to the interior and lounge area. The doors all had their own codes which are provided before you arrive and made it easy to not worry about losing keys. I would say perhaps providing directions on how to operate these locks might help as our friends stayed there too and found it difficult to use the doors at first.
The location of this place is great because it is nestled between many wineries and breweries or hiking trails so whatever you fancy, this place is nearby it all.
Suite 1 is where we stayed and was dog friendly which was so nice because we were able to bring our dog with us and the large open grassy area was great for taking her out on short strolls.
The fan in Suite 1 needs the fasteners tightened because it was knocking heavily especially on the lower speeds and at night while trying to sleep, but that is not a big dig in our overall experience there. We'd definitely stay again as we really enjoyed the entire experience.

Seriously one of the best places I have ever stayed in! Amazing hospitality, atmosphere, cleanliness. Spacious rooms. Also the most amazing bed I have ever slept in in a very long time! We will be coming back here again! We had a great girls weekend going to wineries and breweries. Also visiting Caromont farms.

I loved staying at Basecamp151! A great little room close to so many activities, wineries and breweries.

Found this place last minute on a whim and couldn’t be happier. It was a perfect location to Devils Backbone Brewery which is the reason for our trip. The location also had tons more breweries, distilleries and wineries. Blue Mountain number one for food and Hazy Mountain for the view! The process to getting in our room was a breeze and very “AirBnB” like. We also enjoyed the private entrance and the outside seating area. The room itself was very cozy and clean/chic. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had great space and clean. Water pressure was awesome!

Suite 5 was adorable! Very spacious, super clean. Comfortable beds, really nice sheets, beautiful decor, lovely bathroom. The towels were awesome! The coffee available in the lounge area was a nice touch. We will absolutely stay here again!
