The Pilea Plant Shop

Stumbled upon this little gem randomly last weekend. Had a great sale going on and I got to snag lots of plants I’ve been wanting and found a few I didn’t know I needed! I love that their labels have the name and care instructions on them.

So sad to see you leave fairway. Love your store and the energy it brings. We will miss you. Good lick in the next chapter of your story.

I love this shop! So sad I only discovered it as it’s about to close this month. In the last month I’ve been there 4 times and bought so many beautiful new plant babies. Brandi is SO helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! I definite must if you have the chance to pop in.

Definitely support small business’s like Pilea. Though I live far, I love the ambiance of the plant shop. Store owner Brandy is very informative when it comes to general questions and assistance. Worth visiting if you’re around the area!!

Love this store and helpful staff came into this store for the first time a while back and ended up coming back. Very knowledgeable place for some one like myself that doesnt know much about plants and staff is always very welcoming i honestly have no complaints love this store and the vibes and the various options on plants

The owner Abby, owns a lovely selection of houseplants. I recently bought a maranta from her shop and it looks very lush and happy. She has a lovely selection of lush and beautiful plants I wish I could buy them all

Abby the owner is a genuine & kind person! Please support this amazing local business over Home Depot if you can, it’s so worth it. The selection is wide. She gave me a ton of plant care tips and was so knowledgeable! Pictured are a calathea & monstera I bought from here that have been thriving for months in my house. Highly recommend!!!

Abby helped me out so much. I felt soo welcomed coming in here and immediately help me out with what I was looking for. I am grateful to have such an amazing first time experience and will come back again with friends. She was also able to answer every question I had! And I didn't felt rush or pressured to purchase anything.

Amazing experience. The owner has all the knowledge and has the best plants in the bay area. If you love plants, do yourself a favor and don’t go to home depot, lowe’s, or any other corporate conglomerate. Pilea is where it’s at.

Had a great experience shopping at Pilea. Only popped in to browse, but was helped by the lovely folks Michelle and Rick to pick out some really great new plants for my home. Even though the inventory was a little light at the time since they just had an event, their selection was still way better than that lumber or meatball place. We took home some really beautiful pieces. Will def be back to check out one of their community events too. Proud to support small business!

I've been a happy customer for years now. I asked about a rare plant I had been looking for and at the time they couldnt find it.
I signed up for their email list to receive updates about the store and inventory. I was happy to see recently they not only had the rare plant I have been hunting for , but they had a even rarer ( is that a word?) Version of the plant! I came to the store and made my happy purchase. I love love love this store and their extremely helpful staff!

Pilea Plant Shop is truly one of Hayward’s hidden gems, located in the Fairway Park shopping center. It’s charming and calming and I immediately feel peace when I walk in. I stopped by today to buy a couple of plants for Mother’s Day gifts. Brandee was so kind and patient in helping me pick from their large selection of house plants. She even gift wrapped my purchases! I felt that added a special touch. The shop also sells cute accessories for people and plants, including a gorgeous selection of pots and watering cans. They host events as well like Casa Bloom on first Fridays and calligraphy classes with Sip and Script, which is how I first discovered the shop. This is a local small business that I am delighted to support!

I absolutely LOVE this store!! The plants are all healthy and the people who run it are knowledgeable and so so friendly!! Today Abby helped me and the light coming from her put me instantly at ease.

Most definitely worth the money and visit!!
