Hughston Shooting School

I recently participated in a company shooting event with Aaron that greatly exceeded my expectations. Having been to over (20) pistol/rifle classes I have experienced a lot. Being able to shoot a Barrett .50 cal at distance and a M240 Bravo was a total treat. The instruction was top notch, but I also appreciated the way the instructors worked with new shooters to keep them comfortable and build confidence. I would highly recommend Hughston Shooting School to experienced or new shooters.

My husband and I took Aaron's private basic handgun class and we could not be happier with all of the information and skills we walked away with! Our marksmanship definitely improved and now we feel so comfortable managing jams. Aaron was very patient and thoroughly explained the answer to every question we had. He is an extremely knowledgeable coach and we will absolutely take another one of his classes in the future. Looking forward to doing so when our schedule allows!

Hughston Shooting School‘s TCCC Class was recommended to me by a Friend that has participated in the class twice before, referencing excellent past experiences. I’ve done a significant amount of tactical training, and My recent experience at Hughston Shooting School‘s TCCC Training exceeded my expectations. Excellent it is, and I too would highly recommend Hughston Shooting School‘s TCCC Training to anyone considering TCCC Training, as well as the other Firearms Training they offer.

I was able to take part in the TCCC Tactical Med training. I have spent many years involved in law enforcement training. Tactical Med training is one of those classes that can truly make a difference in coming home after your shift or not. Aaron Hughston provides an atmosphere to learn. His main concern is the safety and training of his students. Rick Smith brought his years of expertise and experience right into the class room. Whether a firearms beginner or seasoned law enforcement professional everyone feels welcomed and valued. Anyone that enjoys firearms should consider this training. It will truely make a difference.

I have attended two classes with Hughston Shooting School (Fighting Pistol, TCCC). Both classes had excellent instruction, facilities and an adherence to safety precautions and procedures to keep students and instructors safe. I would recommend this shooting school to both beginners and advances shooters.

Called up there for information regarding a threaded barrel and the gentlemen who helped me was really great. He did not have what I was looking for but that did not stop him from helping me look online and other places to help get the part. Even gave me the name and number of someone who might have more information. Great service, thank you. People and places like this are rare gems.

Aaron and team do a great job with instruction and encouragement. We took the “Fighting Rifle” course and found it to be an exciting day with a great balance of instruction and live fire excercise. The instruction is real life, suite to shooter, and allows fast paced instruction and skills adaption that caters to many shooting levels without boring advanced shooters while at the same time not leaving newer shooters behind. Great range. Well setup, clean, and safe. Will take more classes with HSS in the future!

Hughston Shooting School holds some of the best firearms classes I have ever taken. Everything from self defense tactics with a rifle or a pistol to competition shooting and even long range precision shooting. On top of that they have an FFL so buying guns and gear is fast and easy. I shoot 12k-15k rounds a year and I always make sure I set aside a few for these classes.

Hughston Shooting School is a great place to take firearms training for a variety of different levels and purposes.
It is a very to-the-point and informative training experience in addition to being very safety oriented both in personal gun handling and knowledge of range safety.

Took a group of 4 guys (ranging from experienced hunters to never touched a rifle) and had a great day with Aaron and Peter. Everyone in the group was consistently hitting targets at 500 yards by lunchtime. We all learned a great deal from Aaron, regardless of skill level, and we will definitely be back for more!

I took the enhanced concealed carry class which included 4 hours of class instruction and more than 4 hours on the range. The instructors were very knowledgeable and professional. Safety was continually emphasized. It was also great fun.

I never write reviews, but will make an exception in this case. I was very impressed with the class I took at HSS. The facilities are excellent, and the instruction is top notch. Aaron's curriculum is well structured, and he communicates it effectively to his students. Highly recommended.

Called to see if Aaron had something that fit my unique schedule, after offering me what he had, he passed me off to someone that could be a potential competitor, that's real customer service. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic place for shooting instruction. Very knowledgeable instructors. They will provide one on one instruction during demonstrations. Vast knowledge bank on many subjects related to LE and shooting. I WILL return for more.
