Critical Grind Board Game Cafe

I love the atmosphere here. I enjoy hanging out with friends playing games and this is a great place to hang! Drinks are good and they have good toasts bagels and muffins to keep you fueled up.

This was an awesome find on our last trip, friendly staff, amazing game selection, stuff available for all ages and abilities. The clientele was even super friendly, openly inviting my 9 year old to join their table and check out the game they were playing. Board gamers are the best, and this place was no exception.

Loved this place! Service was great, coffee was delicious and you get pretty big portions for the price. Excellent selection of games and activities and plenty of space to sit. The place and bathrooms were clean and the bathrooms are gender neutral (single toilet) which I liked.

I visited today for the first time, although I had been wanting to stop in for months now. The person working who helped me was super sweet and funny and I very much enjoyed their company! I love the laid back inclusive atmosphere they've created here and wish I had more time to peruse their many different games, but I suppose that's just a reason to come back 😉 my coffee and toast were AMAZING and I can't wait to visit again. My companion mentioned that her "mouth was singing" because of how delicious the coffee was 🥰

Popped in on a whim with the fam on Valentine's weekend. Owner was very welcoming and engaging. The game library alone makes it hard to leave. Cozy, inviting, and inclusive. Planning to return ASAP!

Critical grind is a great place to meet up for a game of DND, sit and chat over a cup of coffee, or just relax. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable about games & coffee. They even have some space setup to be able to play some larger tabletop wargames. Highly recommend if you are looking to meet some friendly new faces, maybe play a ttrpg or board game, and have some good coffee.

They have free to play board games and gaming tables, delicious toast, great coffee, comfortable furniture and many cool events. The staff and owners are great people! I love hanging out here.

We are so glad we found Critical Grind. Our son loves D&D but it's hard to find a place where he can participate. We have come for the kids D&D as well as had his birthday party here. The DMs are so kind and patient with the (very excited) kids. Excellent, welcoming staff, great cafe snacks and drinks, fun place. One of the birthday party guests asked for the information for his own birthday, so it must have been a great time.

Love this place so much! Love the fun toast options and the people are so friendly and helpful. Awesome atmosphere to hang out, meet with friends, or spend some time being around loving people. Would give 10 stars if I could.

I am from out of town and I just accidentally found this place while looking for a coffee shop. I will be coming back! The coffee is amazing! The atmosphere is *chef's kiss*.

This place is so fun! I enjoy a nice, relaxing, low stress environment and this board game cafe really feels cozy. My husband and I stopped in to try their coffee and toast as well as see their super large selection of games! It was AWESOME! I can see myself bringing a couple of friends and doing a DND campaign here. What I love about this place is that it gives off a relaxing home atmosphere. Its an awesome place to meet up with friends or to bring kids and family.

Such a great idea! Our family had brunch and played two board games. It was a wonderful way to spend our morning together. All of the current menu (10/30/22) is vegetarian and there are a variety of yummy vegan options. The Critical Cauldron Latte (seasonal) was amazing! We will be going back!

Someone told me once that the more you talk about a place, the less genuine you seem, so I'll keep it brief. Great coffee, plenty of board games, and amazing owners! Dont believe me? Come check it out for yourself!

I can't rate the food as I haven't tried any of the fancy toasts, but I highly recommend trying one's luck at rolling for an adventure toast using the D20 at the register

Cute little cafe! I'm excited to come back with my kids. I think they'll love all the games, and I'm sure they'll find something they enjoy to eat with so many varieties of toasts.

Fantastic place! When first walking inn this place is wonderfully nerdy! Good amount of space to sit with a drink and/or a sandwich, and play a game with friends and family. The staff is great, and easy to talk to. Loved the Blood on the Clock tower event held here. Met new people and had fun playing a new game. Would definitely recommend to come and check out!

Some of the nicest people run this place and show up to the events. I was new and they were extremely accommodating with teaching how to play and what to do!

Also Only Zuulie was delicious cherry amaretto latte. Brewed extremely well and I’m a bit of a coffee snob… though I won’t admit it to anyone.

I've brought my daughter here a few times (as have my wife and even my mom!). The games are great to play with kids for some family bonding. The environment is very clean with cool decorations.

The selection of games is massive, so whether you're bringing children for a quick game or meeting up with your friends, there's plenty of fun to be had. Critical Grind also hosts specific game nights for meeting table top groups.

The coffees and specialty toasts are always a hit, and they also carry caffeine free and dairy free (or dairy alternative) options.

All over a fun experience, and time well spent with family. Hopefully when my work schedule stabilizes, I can visit for a table top night!
